Southwest Hokkaido (Sapporo-Iwanai district) in the Northeast Japan arc (Fig. 1) is one of the best places to test the correlation among tectonic regime, stress field, magmatic style and hydrothermal mineralization. This paper reviews the Miocene to Pleistocene tectonic framework, geology, magmatic style and stress field of southwest Hokkaido, and correlates them with different types of deposits (Kuroko, epithermal base-metal and precious-metal). Generally dentures are manufactured by conventional method, however the frequency of fabricating denture using digital method is increasing due to the recent development of digital technology in dentistry. The digital method of manufacturing denture is classified into two systems; 3D scan of the impression to arrange the artificial teeth on the CAD (Computer-aided design) and 3D printing to produce the resin-based complete denture, or 3D scan of the model to design of the framework using CAD, resin pattern formation by 3D printing and casting of metal framework of complete denture or removable partial denture. In this case report, electronic surveying and design the metal framework of the dentures were performed using CAD program, and plastic resin patterns fabricated by 3D printing were casted for upper full denture and lower removable partial denture. During follow-up periods, dentures using digital method have provided satisfactory results esthetically and functionally.
Within the framework of the Mongolian-Korean Joint Project for "Research and Preservation of Cultural Heritage", I enrolled in 3 months training course from February to May 2010 at the Metal laboratory of Conservation Science Division in National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, Korea. Some metal artifacts, which are preserved in Institute of Archaeology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, were brought and restored there. These chosen findings were found at Gobi and mountainous region of Mongolia, preserved under the different circumstances and dated back to Middle Age from Bronze Age. At the Metal laboratory of the NRICH, the conservation work was carried out for three months on 15 metal objects, including arrowhead, stirrup, caltrop, axe, knife, ring and so on, which were found at Khugshin Teel's ruin of Khairkhandulaan soum of Uvurkhangai province, Ungut of Altanbulag soum of Tuv province, Baruun Naran and Ukhaa khudag of Khankhongor and Tsogttsetsii soums of Umnugobi province. The report of the result of this conservation work is available here.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM. The poor chemical bonding of a denture base resin to cast titanium framework often introduces adhesive failure and increases microleakage. PURPOSE. This study evaluated the shear bond strengths of a heat cure denture base resin to commercially pure titanium, Ti-6Al-4V alloy and a cobalt-chromium alloy using two adhesive primers. MATERIAL AND MATHODS. Disks of commercially pure titanium, Ti-6Al-4V alloy and a cobalt-chromium alloy were cast. Specimens without the primer were also prepared and used as the controls. The shear bond strengths were measured on a screw-driven universal testing machine. RESULTS. The primers significantly(P < .05) improved the shear bond strengths of the heat cure resin to all metals. However, the specimens primed with the Alloy $primer^{(R)}$(MDP monomer) showed higher bond strength than those primed with the MR $bond^{(R)}$(MAC-10 monomer) on titanium. Only adhesive failure was observed at the metal-resin interface in the non-primed specimens, while the primed specimens showed mixed failure of adhesive and cohesive failure. CONCLUSIONS. The use of appropriate adhesive metal primers makes it possible not only to eliminate the need for surface preparation of the metal framework before applying the heat cure resins, but also reduce the need for retentive devices on the metal substructure. In particular, the Alloy $primer^{(R)}$, which contains the phosphoric acid monomer, MDP, might be clinically more acceptable for bonding a heat cure resin to titanium than a MR $bond^{(R)}$, which contains the carboxylic acid monomer, MAC-10.
The dealuminated and alkali/alkaline-earth metal exchanged Y-zeolites were prepared as a catalyst. Elemental compositions and structures of the prepared catalysts were analyzed by the various spectroscopic techniques such as inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy(ICP-AES), X-ray fluorescence(XRF) and X-ray diffraction(XRD), and the desorption behaviors of adsorbed species on the catalyst surfaces were investigated via NO-TPD experiment. Comparing with the composition of the starting material of NaY zeolite, the magnitudes of Si/Al ratio in catalytic materials were increased after dealumination. The Si/Al ratio of catalytic materials after dealumination followed by Cs and Ba cation exchange were additionally decreased. Dealumination to catalysts induced a destruction of basic frame due to a detachment of aluminum, which results in reducing framework structure, while increasing non-framework structure. This phenomenon becomes more serious with increasing time of steam treatment and even more significant for the cation exchanged catalysts. In NO-TPD experiments, the desorption peaks of NO which indicates an activity point of catalysts shifted to the low temperature region after dealumination and cation exchange. The desorption peaks of the NO-TPD profiles taken after steam treatment also shifted to the low temperature region as the steam treatment time increased. In dealuminated and cation exchanged Y-zeolites, the catalytic activities were more influenced by exchanged cation and the formation of non-framework structure.
As the demand on displays increases, new thin-film transistors such as metal oxide transistor are continuously being invented. When designing a circuit consisting of such new transistors, a new transistor model based on proper charge transport mechanisms is needed for each of them. In this paper, a modeling framework which enables to choose charge transport mechanisms that are limited to certain operation regions and assemble them into a transistor model instead of making an integrated transistor model dedicated to each transistor. The framework consists of a graphic user interface to choose charge transport models and a current calculation part, which is also implemented in AIM-SPICE for circuit simulation.
For the success of complete denture, three essential requirements such as retention, stability and support are needed. Moreover, due to the absorption of residual ridge and scarring due to the surgery, when making a complete denture, which is difficult to form the mandibular lingual margins, various considerations such as the arrangement of the Non-anatomical dl non-anatomical teeth, the polished surface impression, the internally weighted metal framework and the use of the denture adhesive cream are necessary. In this case report, the patient has a severely resorbed edentulous ridge from severe periodontitis and has some soft tissue problems after the glossectomy due to tongue cancer. To obtain additional retention and stability, some trials such as polished surface impression taking, internally weighted metal insertion and minimal pressure impression were done for the better result. Moreover To make a metal framework that precisely shapes the desired three-dimensional shape and reduces the complicated process, minimal pressure impression method and direct metal laser sintering technique were used.
