N-Acylchitosan Porous Bead들의 제조 및 금속이온 흡착특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Synthesis of N-Acylchitosan Porous Beads and Their Metal Ion Adsorption Characteristics)

  • Chitin was isolated from crab shell. Chitosan, which was prepared by the deacetylation of chitin, was acylated to obtain N-acetyl(regenerated chitin), N-propionyl, N-butyryl, N-hexanoyl, N-decanoyl and N-maleated chitosans and their metal ion adsorption characteristics of N-acylchitosans were investigated. In order to enhance the adsorptivity, their porous beads were prepared and their adsorptivity with respect to the porosity and the adsorptivities for metal ions($Cu^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, $CO^{2+}$, $Mn^{2+}$, $Ag^{+}$)were investigated. Their metal ion adsorptivities were remarkably imporved compared to those of chitin. As the larger acyl groups were introduced, adsorptivity increased, but that of N-decanoyl chitosan showed some decrease because of steric hindrance of the bulky N-decanoyl group. N-Maleated chitosan containing carboxyl group showed highly improved adsorptivity, and N-acylchitosans showed the good selective adsorption in the mixed metal ions($Cu^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, $CO^{2+}$, $Mn^{2+}$ and $Ag^{+}$). They also showed excellent adsorption characteristics as chelating polymers.

반응형 음이온화제 처리 면직물에 대한 중금속 이온의 흡착특성 (The Adsorption Properties of Heavy Metal Ions on to Cotton Fabrics Treated with Reactive Anionic Agent)

  • Cotton fabric was treated with a reactive anionic agent in order to have anionic sites(-S03-) on it, which made it possible for the fabric to adsorb various cationic materials. In this study, the adsorptivity of various heavy metal ions such as Pb(II), Cd(II), Cr(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Ni (II) and Cr(VI) on the cotton fabrics treated with anionic agent was examined at the various conditions; concentrations of heavy metal ions, pHs of solution, reaction time and temperature. As a result, the adsorptivity of the heavy metal ions on the cotton fabrics treated with the anionic agent was highly increased comparing to that of untreated cotton fabrics. The order of the adsorptivity was as follows: $Pb(II)>Cd(II)>Cu(II)\geqNi(II)\geqCo(II)>Cr(III)\ggCr(VI)$. The adsorption amounts of most heavy metal ions were increased in weak alkaline conditions and were reached to an adsorption equilibrium within 10 ~ 30 minutes. The maximum adsorption ratios of Pb(II) and Cd(II) were respectively 99% and 80% of the initial concentration of heavy metal ions. Therefore the anionized cotton fabrics seem to be utilized as an adsorption fabrics for the removal of heavy metal ions in the waste water.

황토로부터 합성한 제올라이트에 의한 Cd(II) 및 Cu(II) 흡착특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Cd(II) and Cu(II) by Zeolites Synthesized from Hwangto)

  • Various kinds of zeolites, such as analcime (ANA), cancrinite (CAN), Na-Pl and sodalite octahydrate (SOD) could be synthesized from Hwangto by hydrothermal reaction in a high-pressure vessel. The adsorption characteristics of Cu(II) and Cd(II) by Hwangto and its synthetic zeolites were investigated using the chemical and electrochemical surface parameters of these adsorbents. The heavy metal adsorptivity among the adsorbents decreased in the following sequences: Na-Pl > SOD > ANA > CAN > Hwangto. This sequence was the same with the values of surface site density (Ns) of these adsorbents and was correlated inversely with the values of pHpzc (pH of the point of zero charge) and the va]ues of K$\_$a2/(int) (intrinsic surface deprotonation constant) of the adsorbents for synthetic zeolites, i.e., the adsorbents with higher values of Ns and with lower values of pHpzc and K$\_$a2/(int) for synthetic zeolites showed higher heavy metal adsorptivity. With increasing pH, the heavy metal adsorptivity increased greatly between pHpzc and pH 6 or 7 because of the steep increase of negatively charged sites for synthetic zeolites, but for Hwangto, it increased broadly because of slow increase of negatively charged sites based on its lower surface sites.

2,2'-Iminodibenzoic acid-cellulose 흡착제의 합성과 Cu(II) 및 Pb(II)의 흡착에 관한 연구 (Synthesis of 2,2'-Iminodibenzoic Acid-Cellulose Adsorbent and Its Adsorptivity of Cu(II) and Pb(II))

  • 톱밥의 주성분인 cellulose를 이용하여 cellulose-OH를 cellulose-Cl로 전환시킨 다음 킬레이트 시약인 2,2'-iminodibenzoic acid염을 반응시켜 킬레이트 흡착제인 2,2'-iminodibenzoic acid-cellulose를 합성하였다. 그리고 합성된 흡착제를 이용하여 Pb(II)와 Cu(II)의 흡착성을 연구하였다. 흡착 특성에 대한 실험 결과, pH가 증가할수록 금속 이온의 흡착량이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 최적 흡착 반응시간은 약 1시간, 흡착능과 회수량은 Cu(II)보다 Pb(II)의 경우가 더 좋음을 알 수 있었다.

소리쟁이 에탄올 추출물의 항산화 활성 및 뿌리의 중금속 흡착능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Antioxidant Activity of Ethanol Extract from Rumex crispus and Metal Adsorptivity of it's Root)

  • 소리쟁이 에탄올 추출물의 환원력, 전자공여능, 산화안정도 등 항산화활성과 소리쟁이 분말에 의한 수중의 Pb(II)와 Cd(II)의 흡착성능을 측정하였다. 추출액의 고형분 함량에 의한 추출율은 추출조건에 따라 1.9~3.0%로서 추출용매비가 낮을수록, 추출온도가 높을수록 증가하였고, 환원력과 전자공여능은 용매비에 반비례하고 추출온도에 비례하였으며, 20배의 용매비와 $75^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 추출물의 환원력과 전자공여능은 ascorbic acid의 86.4%와 91%에 각각 대응되었다. 옥수수 배아 식용유에 대한 추출물의 산화안정성은 실험 조건에 따라 합성 항산화제인 BHT의 86~91.3%의 성능을 보였다. 그리고 소리쟁이에 의한 중금속 흡착능은 Cd(II)보다 Pb(II)가 훨씬 높았으며, 흡착시간 60분에서 초기 농도 20ppm의 경우 Pb(II)의 흡착률은 88%이었으며, Cd(II)는 Pb(II)의 92%정도로 나타났다.

Characterization of Metal(Cu, Zn)-Carbon/TiO2 Composites Derived from Phenol Resin and their Photocataytic Effects

  • Metal-carbon/$TiO_2$ composite photocatalysts were thermally synthesized through the mixing of anatase to metal(Cu, Zn) containing phenol resin in an ethanol solvent coagulation method. The BET surface area increases, with the increase depending on the amount of metal salt used. From SEM images, metal components and carbon derived from phenol resin that contains metal was homogeneously distributed to composite particles with porosity. XRD patterns revealed that metal and titanium dioxide phase can be identified for metal-carbon/$TiO_2$ composites, however, the diffraction peaks of carbon were not observed due to the low carbon content on the $TiO_2$ surfaces and due to the low crystallinity of the amorphous carbon. The results of a chemical elemental analysis of the metal-carbon/$TiO_2$ composites showed that most of the spectra for these samples gave stronger peaks for C, O, treated metal components and Ti metal compared to that of any other elements. According to photocatalytic results, the MB degradation can be attributed to the three types of synergetic effect: photocatalysis, adsorptivity and electron transfer, according to the light absorption between the supporter $TiO_2$, metal species, and carbon layers.

중금속이온 흡착분리를 위한 킬레이트수지의 합성과 특성에 관한 연구 : 1. (A Study on the Synthesis and Characterization of Chelate Resin for Removal of Heavy Metal Ions: 1.)

  • In order to examine the influences of diluent, DVB, and ligand content, in the adsorption velocities and capacities of chelating resins to heaw metal ions, the chelating resins containing the PO$_3$H, amide, and PO$_3$H+amide were prepared from AN-STR-DVB copolymer. The adsorption capacities of chelating resins were measured by ICP-AES. The major results of the studies are as follows: The optimized compositions of the chelating resins having the highest adsorptivity for the heavy metal ions were found to be DVB=7 wt%, toluene= 100 vol%. The adsorption rate of the chelating resins to the heaw metal ions was PO$_3$H > PO$_3$H+Amide > Amide in order.

하수슬러지의 수증기 활성화법을 이용한 흡착제 제조와 흡착특성 (Preparation of Adsorbent from Sewage Sludge by Steam Activation and Adsorption Characteristic)

  • 현재 슬러지의 처리는 주로 해양투기에 의해 진행되는데 런던협약에 의해 슬러지 내 중금속 함량에 따라 점진적으로 해양투기가 완전 금지되어진다. 이에 하수슬러지의 안정적 처리 방안이 시급히 검토되어야 한다. 그 대책으로 최근 슬러지의 능률적이고 친환경적인 처리를 위한 방법 중 하나로 활성화를 통한 흡착제 제조가 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 하수슬러지를 수증기 활성화법을 이용하여 흡착제로 활용하기 위한 기초연구로서 양질의 흡착제를 제조하기 위한 변수별 연구를 통한 최적 활성화조건을 연구하였다. 그 결과 요오드 흡착능을 기준으로 하여 변수별 연구를 통해 수증기 주입량 30 mL/hr, 활성화 온도 $500^{\circ}C$, 활성화 시간 60분으로 선정되었다. 이 때 요오드 흡착능과 수율은 228.4 mg/g, 77.23%로 나타났다. 또한 질소 흡착, SEM, EDS를 이용하여 수증기 활성화에 따른 세공 발달, 비표면적, 평균 세공경 및 화학적 성상과 함량을 파악하였다. 수증기 활성화를 통해 발달되는 세공은 주로 미세 세공임을 확인하였다.

Carboxymethyl Chitin의 합성 및 알칼리 토금속 이온의 흡착분리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Synthesis of Carboxymethyl Chitin and Separation of Alkali-Earth Metal ions by Adsorption)

  • 게 껍질로부터 단리한 천연고분자인 chitin을 이용하여 특정금속이온에 대하여 높은 선택성을 갖는 carboxymethyl chitin을 합성하였다. 실험에 사용된 chitin 은 개량한 Hackman 법으로 순수한 상태로 제조하고 이를 여러농도의 수산화나트륨 용액으로 akali chitin을 제조한 후, chitin 단위구조의 C-6 위치($CH_2OH$)를 isoproryl alcohol 중에서 monochloroacetic 로 처리하여 카르복시기를 갖는 유도체를 합성하였다. Kjeldahl 법에 의한 질소함량의 분석 및 원소분석에 의해 최적반응조건과 치환율을 구하였고, 이들 수지의 구조는 적외선흡수스펙트럼으로 확인하였다. 낮은 치환도를 가지며 물에 불용인 carboxymethyl chitin은 알칼리 토금속이온들 중 $Ca^{2+}$ 이온에 대하여 가장 높은 선택적 흡착능을 나타내었으며, 이러한 성질은 $KNO_3$$NaNO_3$와 같은 중성염이 존재할 때에도 마찬가지였다. Carboxymethyl chitin에 결합된 $Mg^{2+}$ 이온은 $Ca^{2+}$이온이 있는 곳에서 방출되며, 이러한 $Ca^{2+}$$Mg^{2+}$ 이온 혼합계를 이용하였다. 합성된 흡착담체는 $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Sr^{2+}$, $Ba^{2+}$ 등의 금속이온들과의 흡착특성을 검토하였고, 나아가 $Na^+$, $K^+$등 공통양이온 존재하에서 특정금속이온의 선택적 흡착능을 atomic absorption spectrometer로 정량, 확인하였다.

황토의 물리적 특성 및 수용액중의 중금속 이온의 흡착 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Physical Properties and Adsorption Characteristics of Heavy Metal Ions of Loess)

  • Removal of Cu(II), Cr(III) and Pb(II) ions from aqueous solutions using the adsorption process on the loesses has been investigated. Variations of contact time, pH, adsorption isotherms and selectivity of coexisting ions were experimental parameters. pH of KJ and YIK samples diluted to 1% solution, was rearly the same with each value of pH 5.58 and 5.49, and both samples showed weak acidic properties. From chemical analysis, both samples contain remarkably different amounts of ${SiO}_{2}$, ${Al}_{2}O_{3}$ and ${Fe}_{2}O_{3}$. From XRD measurement, quartz was mainly observed in both samples. Kaolinite was also observed, also in both samples, but Feldspar was only observed in KJ sample. Adsorption of metal ions on the loesses were reached at equilibrium by shaking for about 30min. The adsorption of Cr(III) ion was higher than that of Cu(II) oand Pb(II) ions. The order of amount adsorbed among the investigated ions was Cr(III)>Pb(II)>Cu(II). In acidic solution, the adsorptivity of loesses was increased as pH increased. The adsorption of Cr(III) ion on the loesses were fitted to the Freundlich isotherms. Freundlich constants(1/n) of KJ and YIK loesses were 0.54 and 0.55, respectively.
