  • While stable mid- to large-scale underground hydrogen storage infrastructures are needed to meet the rapidly increasing demand for hydrogen energy, evaluating the safety of explosion vibrations in adjacent buildings is becoming important because of gas explosions in underground hydrogen storage facilities. In this study, a numerical analysis of vibration safety effects on nearby building structures was performed assuming a hydrogen gas explosion disaster scenario in a low-depth underground hydrogen storage facility. A parametric study using a meta-model was conducted to predict changes in ground dynamic behavior for each combination of ground properties and to analyze sensitivity to geotechnical influencing factors. Directly above the hydrogen storage facility, the unit weight of the ground had the greatest influence on the change in ground vibration due to the explosion, whereas, farther away from the facility, the sensitivity of dynamic properties was found to be high. In addition, in evaluating the vibration stability of ground building structures based on the predicted ground vibration data and blasting vibration tolerance criteria, in the case of large reinforced concrete building structures, the ground vibration safety was guaranteed with a separation distance of about 10-30 m.

  • Research methodology on Traditional Medicine in East Asia refers to logical thinking system, empirical positivism system and methodology of developing these knowledge systems. Logical thinking system of abstract concepts such as analogy or abduction and positivism system of reasonable explanation such as the five elements and their characteristic theory have been used in various ways empirically or in the form of humanities and knowledge system was developed through parallel structure of empirical positivism and exegetical studies. After the 16th century, evidence was required along with the tradition of putting emphasis on rationality, logicality and empirical positivism and characteristics of medical humanities can be found in emphasizing on medical ethics. Data that can be considered as structural review paper or meta analysis from original data of research on Traditional East Asian Medicine should be evaluated as historical evidence which is equivalent to specialist opinion, descriptive disease research, single case report or case series. Historical evidence based medicine is a research method using Historical evidence to selectively support data that are faithful to traditional theory with higher possibility to be used in future traditional east Asian medicine that links between traditional knowledge and scientific research methodology. Moreover, historical evidence based medicine tries to re-evaluate the value of traditional knowledge and ultimately, guides the direction of development of traditional medicine through scientific rationality based on history and culture.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the topic trend of domestic simulation nursing education research using text network analysis(TNA). Methods: This study was conducted in four steps. TNA was performed using the NetMiner (version 4.4.1) program. Firstly, 245 articles from 4 databases (RISS, KCI, KISS, DBpia) published from 2008 to 2018, were collected. Secondly, keyword-forms were unified and representative words were selected. Thirdly, co-occurrence matrices of keywords with a frequency of 2 or higher were generated. Finally, social network-related measures-indices of degree centrality and betweenness centrality-were obtained. The topic trend over time was visualized as a sociogram and presented. Results: 178 author keywords were extracted. Keywords with high degree centrality were "Nursing student", "Clinical competency", "Knowledge", "Critical thinking", "Communication", and "Problem-solving ability." Keywords with high betweenness centrality were "CPR", "Knowledge", "Attitude", "Self-efficacy", "Performance ability", and "Nurse." Over time, the topic trends on simulation nursing education have diversified. For example, topics such as "Neonatal nursing", "Obstetric nursing", "Pediatric nursing", "Blood transfusion", "Community visit nursing", and "Core basic nursing skill" appeared. The core-topics that emerged only recently (2017-2018) were "High-fidelity", "Heart arrest", "Clinical judgment", "Reflection", "Core basic nursing skill." Conclusion: Although simulation nursing education research has been increasing, it is necessary to continue studies on integrated simulation learning designs based on various nursing settings. Additionally, in simulation nursing education, research is required not only on learner-centered educational outcomes, but also factors that influence educational outcomes from the perspective of the instructors.

  • Purpose: To predict prostatic carcinoma using a logistic regression model on prebiopsy peripheral blood samples. Materials and Methods: Data of a total of 873 patients who consulted Urology Outpatient Clinics of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital between February 2008 and April 2014 scheduled for prostate biopsy were screened retrospectively. PSA levels, prostate volumes, prebiopsy whole blood cell counts, neutrophil and platelet counts, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), biopsy results and Gleason scores in patients who had established diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa) were evaluated. Results: This study was performed on a total of 873 cases, with an age range 48-76 years, divided into three groups as for biopsy results. with diagnoses of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) (n=304, 34.8 %), PCa (n=265, 30.4 %) and histological prostatitis (n=304; 34.8 %). Intra- and intergroup comparative evaluations were performed. White blood cell and neutrophil counts in the histological prostatitis group were significantly higher than those of the BPH and PCa groups (p=0.001; p=0.004; p<0.01). A statistically significant intergroup difference was found for PLR (p=0.041; p<0.05) but not lymphocyte count (p>0.05). According to pairwise comparisons, PLR were significantly higher in the PCa group relative to BPH group (p=0.018, p<0.05, respectively). Though not statistically significant, higher PLR in cases with PCa in comparison with the prostatitis group was remarkable (p=0.067, and p>0.05, respectively). Conclusions: Meta-analyses showed that in patients with PSA levels over 4 ng/ml, positive predictive value of PSA is only 25 percent. Therefore, novel markers which can both detect clinically significant prostate cancer, and also prevent unnecessary biopsies are needed. Relevant to this issue in addition to PSA density, velocity, and PCA3, various markers have been analyzed. In the present study, PLR were found to be the additional predictor of prostatic carcinoma.

  • The purpose of this experiment was to develop a simple and reliable HPLC method for the detection of ciprofloxacin in chicken serum and to provide a basic data on pharmacokinetic parameters after oral and intramuscular administration. The results obtained were as follows: 1. 0.2% meta-phosphoric acid: acetonitrile(7:3, v/v) solution had a high and regular recovery rates and was selected as an extraction solution. 2. The recovery rates of ciprofloxacin were 83-97% with the selected solution in chicken serum and the detection limit was 50ng/ml in serum. 3. Ka(abosorption rate constant) were 3.652 1/h in fasted group and 0.880 1/h in non-fasted group, and Ke (elimination rate constant) were 0.061 1/h and 0.133 1/h, respectively. 4. The highest concentration in serum after intramuscular injection was 840ng/ml within 15-30min and 160-324ng/ml in 1.1-3.2 hours after oral administration. 5. The time course of blood concentration fits well into a 2 compartment model. 6. On oral administration of ciprofloxacin with feed, ciprofloxacin was absorbed more slowly and the amount of absorbed was smaller than that of in fasted chickens. 7. Blood concentration of ciprofloxacin increased in a dose-dependent manner after intramusclular and oral administraiton.
