  • A chloride is an important deteriorating factor which governs the durability of the reinforced-concrete structures under marine environments. Also, the main penetration mechanism of chloride ion into concrete is a diffusion phenomenon. In this study, It is evaluated the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion in non-steady state by Fick's second law. Submergence method in salt water carried out in this experiment. Two types of cement which is different in mineral composition were used. In addition, the effect of mineral admixtures of blast-furnace slag and meta-kaolin was studied. In conclusion, the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion is much affected according to cement type and mineral admixtures, also, it is proved that meta-kaolin as well as blast-furnace slag is effective in preventing penetration of chloride ion.

  • This study was performed to investigate the flow behavior of fresh concrete. strength properties, and durability properties on the chloride penetration resistance of hardened concrete containing Meta-Kaolin(MK) in the range from common strength to high strength to facilitate the use. The results are compared with properties of concrete containing Si1ca Fume(SF). As a result. superplasticizer required in MK concrete was decreased by 8-28% compared to SF concrete with the same slump, but MK concrete became more sticky than SF concrete. It was also found that considering the strength, the optimal cement replacement ratio of MK was 15%, and MK had concrete durable and dense by decreasing the average pore diameter of concrete.

  • Managing electronic medical record is very difficult, because the currently electronic medical system is not designed standard that is uniform and proper. In this paper, in order to overcome this situation, we propose meta-data for the management of the electronic medical record as a single system. To this end, we first analyzed the research on electronic medical records and related standards. Second, we, on the basis of the analysis result, abstracted electronic medical record and entities related on electronic medical, and we designed an entity-relationship model. And finally, we have to complete the meta-data through the setting attributes in this entity-relationship model. Through this study, it was possible that we can complete metadata highly expressive medical records, and suggest an alternative for problem of current medical records systems.

  • A structured review study of drug interventions on sleep disorders in patients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has not been published to date. This systematic review aimed to investigate drug interventions for the treatment of sleep disorders in children with ASD. The Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus databases were searched until March 2019. Study quality was assessed using the Delphi checklist. Due to the heterogeneity of the findings, a meta-analysis was not possible. Drug interventions for the treatment of sleep disorders in patients with ASD included melatonin, atomoxetine, and risperidone. Atomoxetine had no effect on sleep disorders in patients with ASD. A total of 10 studies were reviewed. Melatonin appears to be useful for the treatment of sleep problems in patients with ASD, but further studies are needed to determine the effects of other drugs.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of integrated education research conducted in Korea and to propose a meaningful discussion for further research. Among the studies conducted for last five years, the relevant 69 research articles were selected, and 211 effect sizes were calculated. Effect sizes were analyzed with different dependent variables including creativity, problem solving ability, inquiry skills, scientific recognition, attitude, interest, motivation and self-esteem. In addition, effect sizes with different moderating variable, such as samples sizes, characteristics of subjects, class types, core disciplines were compared. The conclusions of this study was that STEAM education had a relatively middle effect size. Finally, researchers discussed the results related with previous results, and provided the implications and suggestion for future studies.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify and to investigate the nursing organizational culture. Method: A descriptive correlational study was conducted with convenience sample of 448 staff nurses who were working for six general hospitals located in Seoul, Province of Gyeonggi and Province of Chung-cheong. The period of data collection took over 5 months between August and December. Organization Culture Questionnaire developed by Lee (2001) were used to measure nursing organizational culture. Collected data were analysed on SPSS Win 12.0. Result: The meta culture of the nursing organizations was the conservative culture. The cultural pattern of nursing organizations was classified into three patterns which were conservative-dominant culture, symmetric culture and innovative-task culture. Conclusions: The meta culture of the nursing organizations was the conservative culture. But conservative culture decreased nurses' outcomes. Therefore the nurse manager should develop a symmetric organizational culture including four types of culture than dominant culture of one type.

  • This study aimed to understand students' learning in elementary science classes in terms of participatory perspective. Participatory perspective is based on the participationist views on learning. Based on the participatory perspective, this study used two concepts of participationism: 'the changes of learning on commognition' of Sfard (2007) and 'the identity' of Wenger (1998/2007). Based on these concepts, four episodes of an elementary science class were analyzed. The results showed that students carried out their learning from objective-level learning to meta-level learning. And students defined who they are by identifying and negotiating scientific meaning during the learning. These results showed students become members of science community through their participations in science class.

  • Recently, research on geopolymeric concrete that does not use cement as a binder has been actively investigated. Geopolymeric concrete is cement-free concrete. Masato, ocher and/or soil has been solidified into geopolymeric concrete by the reaction of specifically modified silicate as an alkali activator and inorganic binding materials such as blast furnace slag, fly ash or meta-kaolin, which is cured at room temperature to exhibit high compressive strengths. Based on the results, this study shows how geopolymeric concrete that uses specifically modified silicate and inorganic binding materials is implemented as eco-cement with no cement.

  • Purpose: Advance care planning (ACP) is widely understood to improve end-of-life care. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to examine the effects of ACP interventions on decision conflict and psychological distress. Methods: A search of PubMed, CINAHL, CENTRAL, EMBASE, KISS, KoreaMed, and RISS was conducted in November 2020. The study included randomized controlled trials. Data were pooled using fixed- and random-effects models. Results: Fourteen studies were identified that cumulatively included 1,548 participants. ACP interventions were effective in alleviating decision conflict (d=-0.53; 95% CI: -0.83 to -0.23), depression (d=-1.22; 95% CI: -1.71 to -0.74) and anxiety (d=-0.76; 95% CI: -1.12 to -0.39). Conclusion: ACP interventions have significant positive effects on reducing decision conflict and psychological distress. A high level of bias was shown related to allocation concealment and blinding. The results of this study are expected to be useful for end-of-life care providers to improve the effectiveness of ACP interventions.

  • In keeping with the fourth industrial revolution, IoT-based environments are being implemented everywhere, and as a result, there is an increasing number of cases in which various types of sensed data are utilized efficiently. In particular, the number of multimedia application cases using smart devices is increasing, and there is an increasing number of cases in which large amounts of data are used as fast and convenient as small amounts of data. Given the increasing size of files used in smart devices, the study designed a modified Htree based on journaling meta data management in Ext4-based smart devices and analyzed performance through experiments of various methods. Performance evaluation analysis using IOZone and Hdread shows that the data size of 100Mbyte compared to the data input / output of existing htree is 10% or more, and that of the super large capacity file of 500Mbyte or more is 5% or more.
