수학 교과에서 메타정의를 활성화하는 교수·학습 모델 개발 (A Study on the Development of a Mathematics Teaching and Learning Model for Meta-Affects Activation)

  • In this study, we tried to devise a method to activate meta-affect in the aspect of supporting mathematics teaching and learning according to the need to find specific strategies and teaching and learning methods to activate learners' meta-affect in mathematics subjects, which are highly influenced by psychological factors. To this end, the definitional and conceptual elements of meta-affect which are the basis of this study, were identified from previous studies. Reflecting these factors, a teaching and learning model that activates meta-affect was devised, and a meta-affect activation strategy applied in the model was constructed. The mathematics teaching and learning model that activates meta-affect developed in this study was refined by verifying its suitability and convenience in the field through expert advice and application of actual mathematics classes. The developed model is meaningful in that it proposed a variety of practical teaching and learning methods that activate the meta-affect of learners in a mathematical learning situation.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how and which meta tags are used, which meta tags are used frequently, and what relationships there are between retrieval of WWW documents and meta tags. For the study, 1,000 WWW documents were selected and examined from OCLC NetFirst. The total of 92 meta tags was discovered and "description" and "keywords"meta tags were analyzed intensively. In addition, analysis of WWW documents showed that there are no significant relationships in meta tag usages between documents retrieved at the beginning and documents retrieved at the end. Comparative study between general internet search engines and commercial DBs such as NetFirst is suggested as a further study.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to work on the problems and on the direction of the study regarding the evidence-based study of Acupuncture. Methods : We reviewed the PubMed electronic database. Eight articles of systematic review without meta-analysis and six articles without meta-analysis were selected. Results : In the study of eight articles of systematic review without meta-analysis, there were two articles on effectiveness of acupuncture and one on non-effectiveness of acupuncture. Four articles were about the changes according to the quality of randomized controlled trials. Also, one article was about the side-effect of acupuncture. In the study of six articles of systematic review with meta-analysis, there were two articles on Odds Ratio, two on Relative Risk, one on number-needed-to-treat, and two on 18 predefined methodological criteria. Conclusion : As the quality of RCTs was high, positive response decreased and as the quality of RCTs was low, positive response increased. For the study of evidence-based acupuncture, it is necessary that we conduct research on well-planned placebo acupuncture, large sample size, statistical method, method of searching and assessing literature and method of meta-analysis.

Mediating Effect of Meta-cognition between Locus of Control and Self-efficacy

  • Meta-cognition is the knowledge and cognition of cognitive phenomena, including the control of ones own memory, comprehension, and thought processes. Meta-cognition is similar to self-awareness, which is the understanding of oneself, and affects people's attitudes and behaviors. This study demonstrated the mediating effect of meta-cognition between internal locus of control and self-efficacy. Internal locus of control refers to the steady faith that any outcome is related to one's own efforts. Self-efficacy is a collection of personal strong belief that one individual can achieve his or her own goals. In this study, if a person has a tendency to adopt an internal locus of control, meta-cognition is improved, and self-efficacy can in turn be increased if meta-cognition is improved. This study conducted an empirical analysis through questionnaires conducted on 260 university students. The results of the research demonstrated that there is a highly positive correlation between meta-cognition, control position, and self-efficacy. In addition, this study emphasized that positive meta-cognition with internal locus of control can lead to positive attitudes and behaviors, and positive results.

  • In this study examines physical and mechanical properties the use of domestic low grade meta-kaolin in light weight porous concrete. For this purpose light weight porous concrete incorporating low grade meta-kaolin admixture, was tested for tensile strength and acoustic characteristics. Checking tensile strength of cement and low grade meta-kaolin mixture was used to determine the optimum mix proportion of the low grade meta-kaolin admixture. In this paper sound absorbing material has been investigated by using the light weight porous concrete.

수학 문제해결에서 메타정의의 기능 (The Function of Meta-affect in Mathematical Problem Solving)

  • 수학 문제해결에서의 메타정의에 대한 연구 관심은 인지-메타인지의 구조에 착안하여 정의적 요소 간에 유사한 구조 설정의 시도로부터 출발하였으나 메타인지에 대한 연구와 비교할 때 아직 연구의 명료성이나 통일성 또는 체계성 면에서 개선이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 수학 문제해결 과정에 작용하는 일련의 인지적, 정의적 요소의 연쇄 유형 중에 정의적 요소를 포함하는 경우로써 '메타정의'의 개념을 규정하여 수학 문제해결 과정에 나타날 수 있는 실제적인 메타정의의 각 경우를 논리적으로 유형화하였다. 이를 준거로 초등학생의 실제 수학 문제해결 과정에서 메타정의의 각 유형에 해당하는 실제 예를 관찰, 분석하였다. 이를 통해서 수학문제해결 과정에서 메타정의의 작동 메커니즘, 즉 메타정의의 각 유형별로 구체적 작동 원리와 특히 문제해결 과정에 생산적으로 작동하는 메타적 기능의 특성을 추출하였다. 이는 문제해결에서의 메타정의 분석 방법론의 효율성 제고와 수학 문제해결 교수-학습에서의 메타정의가 함의하는 교육적 시사점 제공이란 면에서 기여한다.

  • Lately CBD methodologies like as CBD96, Catalysis, Fusion, and SCIPIO have been introduced. These methodologies has their own proprietary component reference model. Using proprietary reference model falls interoperability among methodologies. Furthermore it can cause confusion and difficulty for component developers, In this paper, we propose a integrated component meta-model for support consistency and interoperability among component designs. Also, we compare our proposed meta model to existing component reference model by using component's characteristics. We expect that it is easy to add new meta model elements and extends meta-model by using integrated component meta-model.

수업 반성 저널의 메타 분석 활동을 통한 초등 예비교사의 생산적 반성 증진 (Facilitating Pre-Service Elementary Teachers' Productive Reflection on Their Science Teaching through Meta-Analysis of Their Reflective Journals)

  • In this study, the researcher aimed to increase productive reflection of pre-service elementary teachers through meta-analysis of their own reflective journals. The meta-analysis activities are expected to enhance their learning effectively as a kind of self-assesment. During 8 week simulation teaching, 26 pre-service teachers kept individual journal writing and the meta-analysis activities were implemented twice (after the 3rd and 8th week). Right after the first meta-analysis, the pre-service teachers' productive reflection increased clearly. However this would not guarantee the effect would last long time period. By analyzing 8 week reflective journals, reports on meta-analysis activities and small group interview, this study shed light on practical ways of enhancing reflective teacher education.

키토산을 첨가한 의치상 재료의 세균 부착에 관한 연구 (ADHERENCE OF ORAL BACTERIA ON CHITOSAN-ADDED DENTURE BASE MATERIALS IN VITRO)

  • The purposes of this study were to evaluate the adherence of bacteria on various denture base resin materials and effects of chitosan, added to denture base materials on bacterial adherence. PMMA denture base resin such as heat-cured Vertex-RS, self-cured Vertex-SC and 4-META denture base resin such as heat-cured Meta-Dent, self-cured Meta-Fast were used in this study Samples were divided into two groups the denture base resin with chitosan, without chitosan Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus casei were used in this study. The surface of samples was observed by SEM. When chitosan was added to M17 and MRS broth, viable cell count of bacteria was reduced. Viable cell count of Streptococcus mutans on the samples decreased as follows : Meta-Dent, Vertex-SC, Meta-Fast, Vertex-RS. Viable cell count of Lactobacillus casei on the samples decreased as follows: Vertex-RS, Meta-Dent, Meta-Fast, Vertex-SC. The resin with chitosan showed lower adherence of bacteria than without chitosan. The images of SEM showed that the surface of the resin with chitosan was rougher than that of without chitosan. These results showed that the denture base resin materials with chitosan have rougher surface than without chitosan, but less bacteria adhered on them.

영유아기 어머니들의 메타양육에 관한 연구 (A Study on Meta-Parenting of Mothers with Preschool Children)

  • This study introduces the construct of meta-parenting or a superordinate category of effortful cognition, including anticipation, assessment, reflection and problems. Also, it aims to analyse meta-parenting in terms of demographic variables and investigate how it relates to other cognitions on parenting and parenting behaviors. One hundred seventy three mothers of preschool children were surveyed on Hawk's (2007) Meta-Parenting, Sameroff and Feil's (1985) Concepts of Development, Stipek, Danniels, Galluzzo, & Milburn's (1992) Activities Sub-scales. They also commented on their views of appropriate methods of child-rearing and the starting age of extra-curricula activity and the number of extra-curricula activities. The main results were as follows: Mothers showed the highest score on assessment followed by anticipation, reflection and problems while these four components of meta-parenting were highly correlated to each other. Among demographic variables, only the mothers' age and education were linked to some component of meta-parenting. Meta-parenting was correlated with complexity of thinking but not with views on appropriate methods of child-rearing. Also, meta-parenting was associated with formal and informal activities at home and the beginning time of providing the extra-curricula activity with the total number of extra-curricula activities provided at present.
