사물인터넷 환경에서 CoAP 기반의 저전력, 신뢰성 향상을 위한 경량 프로토콜 (Lightweight Protocol for Low Power and Reliability Improvement Based on CoAP in the Internet of Things(IoT) Environment)

  • Internet of Things(IoT) is a technology or environment that collects data by attaching sensors to objects and transmits the collected information to each other through wired / wireless communication in real time. It is expected that when the Internet of objects is activated, many objects can identify and recognize each other by themselves and provide various services to facilitate our lives through mutual information exchange. In addition, the internet market for things is growing rapidly each year, and various IT technologies are expected to converge. In the Internet environment of objects, data exchange technology between object devices, that is, message protocol, is classified as one of important technologies. In this paper, we examine various lightweight message protocols suitable for the Internet environment of objects, and compare the reliability of the CoAP protocol structure with the MQTT protocol for a limited environment. Finally, we confirm the reliability of TCP / TLS and WebSockets-based CoAP transmission protocol of IETF's CoRE WG that can use various transport layers other than UDP in Internet environment including cloud infrastructure.

LTE 기반 차량용 V2X 통신단말에 대한 신호 교차로 C-ITS 메시지의 타이밍 데이터 최적화 기법 (Timing Data Optimize of Traffic Intersection C-ITS Message Set for LTE-based V2X in-vehicle Devices)

  • Recently, the introduction of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) has been attempted to solve the limitation of only the sensor of the vehicle itself. For example, vehicles traveling at intersections can drive more safely through C-ITS. By using V2X communication of WAVE and LTE, the driver can receive the status and time of traffic lights. However, LTE has a larger transmission delay time than WAVE, so timimg data may not match in real time. In this paper, using the SPaT message, it was confirmed that LTE has a larger C-ITS service transmission delay time than WAVE. Finally, it was confirmed that the timing data of SPaT provided by LTE corrected by the algorithm is similar to SPaT provided by WAVE. It was confirmed that safer intersection driving is possible based on real-time.

  • MANET은 빠르게 네트워크를 구축할 수 있다는 특징 때문에 많은 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 그러나 무선 네트워크의 특성과 노드들의 이동으로 인해 많은 보안 위협에 노출되어 있다. 특히 그중에서도 라우팅 프로토콜의 취약점을 이용한 공격이 증가하고 있으며 그 피해 또한 매우 증가하고 있는 설정이다. 본 논문에서는 안전한 라우팅 프로토콜 제공을 위한 two-level 인증 구조를 제안하였다. 제안한 기법에서는 네트워크에 참여하는 노드들에 대하여 신뢰도를 기반으로 한 인증 평가를 실시하여 인증서를 발급해주며, 인증서를 발급받은 노드만이 데이터 전송을 수행하게 된다. 그리고 인증서를 발급받은 노드가 데이터 전송시 제어 패킷의 정보와 자신이 관리하는 PIT 정보를 비교 및 분석하여 악의적인 노드들에 대한 탐지를 수행하게 된다. Ns-2 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 본 논문에서 제안한 기법의 성능을 평가하였으며, 실험을 통하여 우수한 성능을 확인하였다.

차량 애드혹 네트워크에서 경쟁윈도우를 이용한 메시지 브로드캐스트 기법 (A Message Broadcast Scheme using Contention Window in Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)

  • 차량 애드혹 네트워크는 이동 애드혹 네트워크의 한 종류로서 ITS를 위한 핵심 기술이다. 차량 애드혹 네트워크는 기반시설의 도움 없이 차량 간의 무선통신을 통해 임시적으로 구성되며 메시지 중계 노드로 선정된 차량들을 통해 메시지가 전파된다. 그러나 차량 애드혹 네트워크는 기존의 이동 애드혹 네트워크 보다 네트워크 토폴로지와 노드밀도의 변화가 아주 심하다. 따라서, 멀티-홉 브로드캐스트를 통해 메시지를 신속히 전파하기 위해서는 효과적인 릴레이 노드 선정기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 차량 애드혹 네트워크에서 효율적으로 메시지를 전파하기 위한 경쟁윈도우 기반 멀티-홉 브로드캐스트 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 각 노드가 최적화된 경쟁윈도우를 계산하고 노드들 간의 경쟁을 통해 최적의 릴레이 노드가 선정되도록 한다. 실험결과, 제안한 기법은 기존의 거리기반 결정적 멀티-홉 브로드캐스트 기법에 비하여 종단간 메시지 전파 지연시간과 네트워크 부하 면에서 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to review the trend and roadmap of standardization for e-Trade. As a survival strategy in this rapidly changing global competition environment, domestic and global e-Trade network should be harmonized and interconnected, which requires multilateral or regional cooperation to set relevant inter-operable infrastructure. For this, standardization for e-Trade message and communication is critical success factor. Korea has been an early adopter of international e-Trade standards like UN/EDIFACT and ebXML. Based on the overall knowledge and experiences of e-Trade projects, Korea can take initiatives in the creation of global e-Trade through the harmonization and interconnection of other countries.

SMS 메시지를 RCS-e 메시지로 변환하기 위한 프레임워크에 관한 연구 (A Study on Message Inter-working Framework for sending SMS to RCS-e)

  • Mobile phone users have been using the SMS to send and receive text messages between them. Recently, GSMA(GSM Association) proposed the next generation instant messaging service, RCS-e(Rich Communication Service-enhanced). This was unavoidable because new OTT(Over The Top) services have emerged that threat the SMS after smart phones became popular. However, the RCS-e has limitations that it cannot inter-operate with the SMS which is still widely used. This paper propose a software framework that inter-work SMS with RCS-e. Call flows for canceling wireless contracts and sending SMS messages to RCS-e users were defined. Also, methods for protocol conversion were defined to inter-work two services. The performance evaluation showed that the proposed framework does not increase loads on IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) infrastructure.

Survey on Security in Wireless Sensor

  • Advances in electronics and wireless communication technologies have enabled the development of large-scale wireless sensor networks (WSNs). There are numerous applications for wireless sensor networks, and security is vital for many of them. However, WSNs suffer from many constraints, including low computation capability, small memory, limited energy resources, susceptibility to physical capture, and the lack of infrastructure, all of which impose unique security challenges and make innovative approaches desirable. In this paper, we present a survey on security issues in wireless sensor networks. We address several network models for security protocols in WSNs, and explore the state of the art in research on the key distribution and management schemes, typical attacks and corresponding countermeasures, entity and message authentication protocols, security data aggregation, and privacy. In addition, we discuss some directions of future work.

위성항법시스템 서비스 및 신호 현황 (Status of Navigation Satellite System Services and Signals)

  • Positioning, navigation, and timing information has become a key element in the national core infrastructure and for emerging technologies, such as autonomous driving, lunar exploration, financial systems, and drones. Therefore, the provision of that information by navigation satellite systems is becoming increasingly important. Existing systems such as GPS (Global Positioning System), GLONASS (GLObal NAvigation Satellite System), and BDS (BeiDou Navigation Satellite System) also provide augmentation, safety-of-life, search & rescue and short message communication and authentication services to increase their competitiveness. Those services and the signals generated for their provision have their own purpose and requirements. This article presents an overview of existing or planned satellite navigation satellite system services and signals, aiming to help understand their current status.

  • 위성통신은 이동통신처럼 많은 사람이 사용하지는 않으나 군사용, 재난용, 원격 교육용 및 의료용, 도서 지역, 인프라 취약지역에서의 인터넷 제공 등 공공성, 통신서비스를 위하여 꼭 필요한 기술이다. 하지만 대부분의 통신 모뎀은 네트워크 통신을 할 때 IP주소가 매번 바뀌는 유동 IP로 할당받아 서버와의 양방향 통신에서의 문제점이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 단말 장치의 제어기로 라즈베리 파이를 사용하여 위성 모뎀과 PPP 프로토콜을 통한 네트워크 통신을 하였으며 유동 IP를 갖는 모뎀에 대한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 위성 모뎀의 문자 메시지 기능을 이용하였다. 이를 통하여 Thuraya 정지궤도 위성을 이용한 양방향 데이터 링크를 구현하였다.

Fantastic Collaboration of Financial Services and Telecommunication: a Frontier Case of Integrated Marketing Communication of 'Club SK Card'

  • In May 2012, the collaboration of Hana Bank, top financial service company, and SK Planet, top telecommunication service provider, introduced a new credit card that was filled with all-in-one benefits into the market. Leveraging strong infrastructure of two companies, each top in its own industries, the awareness and preference of 'Club SK Card' brand rapidly increased to about 25% in less than one year. Moreover, this new card was enthroned in the most sold credit card of year 2012, accounting for a market share of 7.2% in the credit card market and more than 80% in the mobile credit card market. To make these results possible, 'Club SK Card' marketing team developed an effective marketing communication strategy which followed the 6M model. The mission of the marketing communication strategy was simple and clear. It was to deliver the card's inherent strengths on consumer benefits that come from the support of subsidiary and affiliated companies of SK Planet. According to OK Cashbag data, the marketing communication team selected the appropriate target consumers and approached them directly, inducing actual purchase behavior. The target consumers received straightforward messages about 'Club SK Card' and were led to join in the new membership at their most frequently visited supermarket or franchise restaurant. The straightforward communication message embedded in an eye-catching commercial ad with a hook song accompanied with a dance was delivered via public media. The ad became so popular that many other television programs quoted or made parodies of the ad. Courtesy of the commercial ad, the brand name disseminated rapidly and widely among the public. In October 2012, an ingenious planning and persistent implementation of the communication strategy results 'Club SK Card' to be ranked top in brand awareness as well as advertising preference tests.
