In this paper, I discuss some asymmetries of bracketing paradoxes from a corpus-based perspective. Through a critical examination of previous analyses of bracketing paradoxes, it is demonstrated that the cases of apparent asymmetries of bracketing paradoxes are consistently accounted for when combined with the frequency-based parsability in morphological processing. Based on the relative frequency, this paper argues that bracketing paradoxes are well-atttested when their immediate bases are frequent and productive enough to be accessed as a unit and stored as such in memory. This is an extension of Hay 2002 which conducted a comprehensive survey of differential frequency effects in suffix pairs. A frequency-based approach to bracketing paradoxes adopted in this paper can be a challenge to the conventional formal theory by assuming a major role of language use and have the potential to significantly advance our understanding of the asymmetries observed in the real language world.

The value of Dongeuibogam has been officially acknowledged as a Memory of the World. However, we should not overlook the forward-looking value of Dongeuibogam in addition to its backward-looking value. For the past 200 years, Western medicine has attained great achievements in therapeutic medicine based on Descartes' mind-body dualism, which focuses on the body as a separate entity from the mind. Recently, Western medicine modified its previously one-sided track into a new orientation towards holistic mind-body medicine in recognition of the two as an organic whole. At this point in time, it is essential to draw attention to the forward-looking value of Dongeuibogam, which pioneered mind-body medicine based on the medicinal philosophy of Jing Qi Shen more than 400 years ago.

The Chun-cheon Citizen's Bell was cast in memory of hosting the 2010 world leasure conference and a striking ceremony was held at the city hall on December 31, 2005. In this study, vibration and sound of the bell are measured and the property of the magnificent sound of the bell is scientifically investigated. Frequency components making the sound are identified and how the frequency components decrease with time is observed using waterfall plot(3-dimensional frequency spectrum). Beat characteristics of the hum(1st frequency) and the fundamental(2nd frequency)are examined by experiment. Directivity of the sound radiation of the bell is examined by measuring the vibration and sound in several directions. Duration of the vibration and the sound is estimated using damping ratio.

With the advancement in the Internet of things Technology (IoT) cloud computing, billions of physical devices have been interconnected for sharing and collecting data in different applications. Despite many advancements, some latency - specific application in the real world is not feasible due to existing constraints of IoT devices and distance between cloud and IoT devices. In order to address issues of latency sensitive applications, fog computing has been developed that involves the availability of computing and storage resources at the edge of the network near the IoT devices. However, fog computing suffers from many limitations such as heterogeneity, storage capabilities, processing capability, memory limitations etc. Therefore, it requires an adequate task scheduling method for utilizing computing resources optimally at the fog layer. This work presents a comprehensive review of different task scheduling methods in fog computing. It analyses different task scheduling methods developed for a fog computing environment in multiple dimensions and compares them to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of methods. Finally, it presents promising research directions for fellow researchers in the fog computing environment.

In the era marked by information inundation, social network analysis is the most important part of big data analysis, with clique detection being a key technology in social network mining. Also, detecting maximal balance clique in signed networks with positive and negative relationships is essential. In this paper, we present two algorithms. The first one is an algorithm, MCDA1, that detects the maximal balance clique using the improved three-way concept lattice algorithm and object-induced three-way concept lattice (OE-concept). The second one is an improved formal concept analysis algorithm, MCDA2, that improves the efficiency of memory. Additionally, we tested the execution time of our proposed method with four real-world datasets.

The spationtemporal databases support a historical informations as well as spatial managements for various kinds of objects in the real world, and can be efficiently used in many applications such as geographic information system, urban plan system, car navigation system. However it is difficult to represent efficiently historical operations with conventional database query language for spatial objects. In terms of cost for query processing, it also degenerates performance of query processing because of syntactic limitations which is innate in conventional query representation. So in this paper, we introduce a new query language, entitled as STQL, which has been extended on the basis of the most popular relational database query language SQL. And we implement as well as evaluate a spationtemporal query processing system that get a query written by STQL and then process it in a main memory.

Computer system performance has always had the possibility of affecting business profitability, but with the advent of the World Wide Web where customers interact directly with Web servers, response time can have a direct and dramatic impact on business revenue. This paper is written in the operation environment and system analysis of HTS(Home Trading System) running K Securities. This paper also shows the method for performance improvement through investigation and analysis for the overall systems resources whether HTS has an appropriate performance or not. Performance analysis includes specially CPU analysis, Memory analysis, Disk Input/Output analysis and application analysis. Besides providing more detailed server specification for expansion from now on, system performance can be maintained with effect in the future. Through this study it is possible to manage the performance of HTS more easily and to solve problems such as a bottleneck more quickly.

The study analyzed emotional influence and its implications of childhood housing environment with the environmental autobiography method. 222 essays of students in T University based on childhood memory are collected in identifying physical environment, emotional meaning and the value of places to them. Findings indicate that childhood housing environment is recognized as a influencing factor for making individual personality and the view of the world. The study also found that emotional recognition for the housing environment is given much weight in the indoor places, and to be the most affirmative adaptation attitude. Emotional influence of housing environment is significantly different depending on a residential area and house type, and each places of housing environment is charged in the variety emotional characters.

GongJu is a historical city. There has been scattered Baekje, Chosun and modern cultural heritages in GongJu. Cultural heritages in Baekje is simply preserved in their current condition. Chosun and modern cultural heritages have left their traces only, so that faded from the memory of the world. We must not lose the historical interconnectedness that is created by these heritages. This study is to analyze the architectural culture contents and its practical use program in urban side, and search for the strategy. The purpose of this study is as follows: The first is to retrieve the scattered heritages according to the age and area(as a spot). The second is to improve the street landscape through the linear linkage connecting from spot to spot.(as a line) The last is to create the image of historical city through the regional development.(as an area)

In the commercial trains, there are monitors hung on the ceiling which simply display broadcasted contents so a passenger in a cabin has only one choice of passively watching them or not. To lead the application of IT in railway, keep a passenger from tedious journey, or help a passenger having a productive time, an MCS(Multimedia Contents System) was analyzed, designed, and implemented. A passenger can select and use a content from a smart terminal that is attached at the passenger's seat. A smart terminal is one that has its own memory and processor to handle informations and interact with a user. In this paper, the contents, such as train schedule, transfer information, traveling information, e-book, TV, music, and game, that the MCS can provide were introduced. To validate the applicability of the MCS on a next generation high-speed train, a testing environment will be set on a pre-production car and tested. The successful installation of the MCS will boost up the competitive power of the next generation train in the world market.
