폴리이터설폰 지지체를 활용한 박막복합막의 용매투과특성 연구 (Solvent Filtration Performance of Thin Film Composite Membranes based on Polyethersulfone Support)

  • 최근 유기용매나노분리막(OSN) 기술의 응용분야가 확대되고 있으며 그에 따른 분리막 성능향상이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 박막복합막 형태의 OSN 분리막을 제조하여 용매의 투과성능을 측정하였다. 먼저 비용매상전이법(NIPS)을 활용하여 한외여과막 지지체를 제조하였고, 지지체의 성능을 최적화하기 위해 고분자(PSf or PES)와 기공형성제(PVP or Pluronic F-127)의 종류 및 조성의 영향을 확인하였다. 지지체 표면에 MPD와 TMC 단량체를 계면중합하여 폴리아미드 박막을 형성하였다. 제막된 박막복합막 OSN 분리막의 용매투과성능과 배제율을 측정하여 평가하였다. OSN 지지체로는 PSf 대비 PES 지지체의 성능이 안정적이었으며 Pluronic F-127보다 PVP를 도프용액에 첨가하였을 때 성능이 더 향상되었다. 기존 TMC-MPD 반응을 활용하여 박막복합막을 제조하였을 때 Acetonitrile 용매의 투과성능이 EtOH보다 월등히 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

나노여과에 의한 중금속 함유 산성 폐에칭액의 재생(II) : 구리이온을 함유한 PCB 폐에칭액의 Dead-end 나노여과 (Recycling of Acidic Etching Waste Solution Containing Heavy Metals by Nanofiltration (II) : Dead-end Nanofiltration of PCB Etching Waste Solution Containing Copper Ion)

  • 본 연구는 인쇄회로기판(PCB) 제조 시 에칭공정에서 발생되는 구리이온($Cu^{+2}$)을 고농도로 함유한 황산 폐에칭액을 NF 막분리법을 사용하여 에칭액 회수와 구리이온 처리를 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 NF 막여과 공정의 운전 조건을 설정하기 위한 기본 자료를 확보하는데 있다. 이를 위해 미국 Koch사의 SelRO MPS-34 4040 NF 막을 대상으로 구리이온을 고농도(5~25 g/L)로 함유한 모의 황산 폐에칭액의 회분식(dead-end) 나노여과 실험을 수행하여 투과 플럭스와 구리이온의 총괄 배제도를 측정하였다. 이 결과 황산용액에의 막 보관기간이 길수록, 황산용액의 pH가 낮을수록 황산에 의한 NF 막의 손상이 더 크게 발생하여 순수 투과 플러스가 증가하였다. 황산 폐에칭액의 투과 플럭스는 황산용액 내 구리이온의 농도가 증가할수록 막 표면에의 구리이온 농축(농도분극)의 증가에 따라 감소하였으며, 구리이온의 배제도는 구리이온의 농도가 높을수록, pH가 낮을수록, 황산용액 내의 막 보관기간이 길수록 낮아져 초기 37%에서 최소 15% 수준으로까지 감소하였다.

  • 중금속($Cu^{2+}$, $Zn^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, $Cr^{3+}$)을 함유한 폐수가 최적운전압력과 운전시간에서 침전-응집-정밀여과의 공정으로 처리되었을 때, pH 및 응집제의 영향 그리고 막 종류 및 세공크기에 따른 투과유속과 제거효율이 조사되었다. 구리폐수의 경우는 pH10.0~10.5에서 $0.45{\mu}m$-polysulfone막과 PAC을, 아연폐수의 경우는 pH10.0~10.5에서 $0.1{\mu}m$-PVDF막과 PAC을, 니켈의 경우는 pH11.0~11.5에서 $0.1{\mu}m$-PVDF막과 응집제를, 크롬의 경우는 pH8.0~8.5에서 $0.2{\mu}m$막과 응집제를, 그리고 혼합폐수의 경우는 pH11.0~11.5에서 $0.2{\sim}0.45{\mu}m$막과 응집제를 사용하여 처리하였을 때, 처리효율이 가장 높았다. 투과유속은 구리폐수를 제외하고는 대부분 응집제 사용으로 더 높게 향상시킬 수 있었다.

활성슬러지 수용액 내 침지식 중공사막의 역세척 및 사인파형 연속투과 운전방식에 따른 막간차압 (Transmembrane Pressures with Respect to Backwashing and Sinusoidal Flux Continuous Operation Modes for the Submerged Hollow Fiber Membrane in the Activated Sludge Solution)

  • 본 연구에서는 사인파형 투과유속 운전방식을 중공사형 분리막에 적용하여 운전시간에 따른 막간차압(TMP)을 측정하였다. 유효 막면적이 $100cm^2$이고 공칭 세공크기가 $0.45{\mu}m$인 중공사막 모듈을 MLSS 5,000 mg/L 활성슬러지 용액으로 투과 실험하였다. 연속적인 단계별 투과유속 변화법으로 임계 투과유속을 측정하였으며 그 값은 $26.6L/m^2{\cdot}hr$이었다. 여과운전/정지이완(FR), 정지이완시 역세척(FR/BW) 및 사인파형 투과유속 연속운전(SFCO) 방식에 따른 TMP를 측정하였다. 임계 투과유속보다 낮은 15, 20 및 $25L/m^2{\cdot}hr$에서는 SFCO 운전방식이 FR 및 FR/BW에 비하여 효과적이었다. 그러나 임계 투과유속 이상에서는 FR/BW 운전방식이 SFCO보다 효과적으로 막오염을 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Modeling Of Critical Flux Conditions In Crossflow Microfiltration

  • In the process of crossflow microfiltration, a deposit of cake layer tends to form on the membrane, which usually controls the performance of filtration. It is found, however, that there exist a condition under which no deposit of cake layer is made. This condition is called the sub-critical flux condition, and the critical flux here means a flux below which a decline of flux with time due to the deposit of cake layer does not occur. In order to study the characteristics of the critical flux, a numerical model is developed to predict the critical flux condition, and is verified with experimental results. For development of the model, the concept of effective particle diameter is introduced to find a representative size of various particles in relation to diffusive properties of particles. The model is found to be in good match with the experimental results. The findings from the use of the model include that the critical flux condition is determined by the effective particle diameter and the ratio of initial permeate flux to crossflow velocity.

Acetobater sp.KM Alcohol Dehydrogenase의 분리 및 특성 (Purification and Characterization of Alcohol Dehydrogenase from Acetobacter sp. KM)

  • Membrane-bound alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH) was purified to homogeneity from the acetic acid producing bacteria, Acetobacter sp. KM. The enzyme was solubilized and extracted with Triton X-100 and purified using the Mono-Q ion exchange chromatography and Superose 12 gel filtration chromatography. The enzyme was purified to 12-fold with a yield of 30%. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was to be 335 KDa. SDS-PAGE of the enzyme showed two subunits with molecular weights of 79 KDa and 49 KDa. It indicated that the enzyme consisted of three subunits of the 79 KDa and two subunits of the 49 KDa. The purified .ADH preferentially oxidized straight chain aliphatic alcohol except methanol. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and glutaraldehyde were also oxidized. The apparent Km for ethanol was 1.04 mM and the optimum pH and temperature were 5.0∼6.0 and 32$^{\circ}C$, respectively. V2O5 and divalent cation such as ZnCl2 and NiCl2 inhibited enzymatic activity.

  • The various pretreatment processes were evaluated for removal of oil pollutants with weathered oil contaminated seawater in a reverse osmosis desalination process. Weathered oil contaminated seawater was made by biodegradation and photooxidation with oil containing seawater. Coagulation, ultrafiltration, advanced oxidation processes and granular activated carbon filtration was used with pretreatment for dissolved organic carbon. Crude oil was removed but. weathered oil contaminated seawater was not removed by biodegradation and coagulation. DOC and E260 was removed with about 20 % and 40 % by membrane filter of cut off molecular weight 500. So, the most of dissolved organic carbon in weathered oil contaminated seawater was revealed that molecular weight was lower than 500. It is difficult to remove DOC in weathered oil contaminated seawater by advanced oxidation processes treatment, but, E260 was removed more high. However, DOC in weathered oil contaminated seawater was easily adsorbed to GAC. It is revealed that DOC was removed by adsorption.

  • Many studies on the analysis of cations in blood have been reported. However, no suitable method for the pretreatment of blood for the determination of cations by Ion Chromotography. As a result, pretreatment method that the membrane filtration of plasma a diluted 1 to 100 fold acidified pH 3.5 was found to be the most suitable. The recoveris of monovalent cations in blood were yield 101%(Na$^{+}$). 102%(NH$^{+}_{4}$) and 101%(K$^{+}$) Determinations of divalent cations(Mg and Ca ions) in blood by Ion chromatography were summarized as followed conditions Separator Column : CS$_{3}$. Suppressor Column : CMMS. Eluent conen : 25m M-HCl/2mM-Histidine. Regenerant conen: 40mM-Ba(OH)$_{2}$.

다중수원 수처리 의사결정에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on decision making for multi-source water)

  • A combined treatment system using multiple source water is becoming important as an alternative to conventional water supply for small-scale water systems. In this research, combined water treatment systems were investigated for simultaneous use of multi-source water including rainwater, ground water, river water, and reclaimed wastewater. A laboratory-scale system was developed to systematically compare various combinations of water treatment processes, including sand filtration, microfiltration (MF), granular activated carbon (GAC), and nanofiltration (NF). Results showed that the efficiency of combined water treatment systems was affected by the quality of feed waters. In addition, a simply approach based on the concept of linear combination was suggested to support a decision-making for the optimum water treatment systems with the consideration of final water quality.

  • Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II by cleaving C-terminal dipeptide of angiotensin I and inactivates bradykinin. ACE inhibitors have been screened from various food sources since the inhibitors decrease blood pressure. Therefore, in this study, an ACE inhibitor was isolated and purified from squid ink using membrane filtration, gel permeation chromatography, normal phase HPLC, and fast protein liquid chromatography. The purified inhibitor was identified to be a molecular mass of 294 by mass spectrometry, and to have IC$\sub$50/ value of 4.9 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL.
