Background: This study attempted to find out the degree of awareness of owners who have the most influence on companion animal's rehabilitation exercise, and the purpose of the treatment effect, and the expectations of rebilitation treatment. The purpose of this study is to find out about the awareness, comprehension, and expectations of caregiver for rehabilitation exercise in companion animal medical services, and to develop them into a field of animal medical services. Design: The tool used in this study used a questionnaire, and the composition consists of the subject's general characteristics, recognition of companion animal rehabilitation, comprehension and expectation. Methods: A questionnaire was given to 103 companion animal's owners, and all were collected and analyzed. Analysis of the frequency analysis method, Fisher's exact test were analyzed. Results: It was confirmed that the difference was significant in the question of whether the caregivers had heard companion animal rehabilitation (p<.05). When asked that rehabilitation is necessary to improve physical function, the difference was confirmed to be significant (p<.05). The significance was confirmed when asked if the caregiver was willing to participate in animal rehabilitation education (p<.05). When asked if caregiver was willing to recommend rehabilitation exercise for companion animal of other caregiver who need rehabilitation exercise, it was confirmed that the difference was significant (p<.05). Conclusion: There was significant difference between gender. This study confirmed that the definite concept caregivers' perception in animal rehabilitation was not established. Therefore, in order to improve perception of caregivers, interdisciplinary exchanges and publicity for animal rehabilitation are needed, and the development of training and education programs for rehabilitation experts was suggested.
Purpose: This study explores the diffusion factors of corporate entrepreneurship among members of medical institutions. Methodology/Approach: The study explores the case of Granum Sinapis Center at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, the first medical institution to establish a support organization for "innovation and start-up" as well as examines the changes in individual perceptions of participants in the institution's in-house contest. Among the 140 participants in the 2nd Contest held in 2022, seven participants were selected for interview in consideration of their job occupation and years of service. In-depth interviews were conducted for each individual. Findings: The participants applied for the contest under the direct and indirect influence of co-workers as well as compensatory factors. An individual's corporate entrepreneurial characteristics can be innate or acquired. The participants of the in-house contest had a positive experience in contrast to the existing organizational culture. The results reveal that emotional support from top and middle managers, along with the role of dedicated departments, can affect innovative behavior. Practical Implications: Contest participants reported personal growth, improved job satisfaction, and a change in perception of the organizational culture; they expressed their willingness to recommend. The results confirm the need to support such systems and shift focus to managerial (emotional) support and dedicated resources for developing individual entrepreneurship.
The development of online funeral services and social issues of eco-friendly funeral culture have raised awareness of the new need for online funeral culture. There have been several attempts to revitalize online funeral services in domestic institutions and companies, but the effect is weak. The purpose of this study is to propose a design that can improve the accessibility and usability of online memorial services by analyzing the usability problem factors through a First Time User Experience analysis of the online memorial platform. Therefore, in this study, in order to identify the problem factors of the online memorial platform, a literature review on the UX, OOBE, and FTUE theories was conducted. The subject of the study was the app 'Memorial'. Before analyzing the First-Time User-Experience, IA was compared and analyzed with other similar services to understand the characteristics of the UX service of the app 'Memorial', which is the subject of the study. In addition, tasks corresponding to the Unpack-Setup/Configure-First Use stage were performed on 10 subjects who had no experience using the online memorial platform. The experimental process was expressed as the UX Curve to identify factors that caused negative experiences. As a result, the major problem factors included unnecessary UI elements, the need for sensitive personal information at the membership stage, and lack of immersion in the service. The improvements included strengthening community functions to facilitate the sharing of emotions and promote smooth communication between users. We proposed UI/UX service developments that enhanced the app by incorporating these insights. In order to verify the effectiveness, serviceability, and value of the developed prototype, an interview with a expert was conducted. The interviewes consisted of three service design experts. This study was conducted to contribute to the quality improvement and activation of the recently emerging online funeral services. The study is significant as it aims to understand the current status of these services and identify the factors necessary to improve service accessibility and usability. Subsequent studies require in-depth user verification of how much the proposed improvement plan affects the actual user experience.
Purpose: This study conducted a survey on the elderly with physical debilities, who are in a medically vulnerable social class, to examine closely their demo-sociological characteristics, unmet needs, dental states, and living qualities and satisfaction levels relating to oral health and social supports to them, and also to prepare the basis for effective public medical policies and health improvement programs aimed at improving the quality of life for the elderly with physical debilities. Methods: Twenty-two elderly care facilities within Jeju Special Self-Government Province participated in the survey. Between 11 January and 5 March 2010, a total of 250 elderly persons(65 and over) with physical debilities were interviewed and their dental health was checked. Results: The results of the survey are as follows. The need for social support for dental care of the elderly with physical debilities was high in the medical institution-supported service (49.6%). The unmet needs for physical care were high in bathing (49.6%) and using public transportation (71.6%). More than half of these surveyed had ten or fewer teeth. The survey found that 31.6% of the participants experienced problems eating, due to poor dental health. Concerning quality of life, 30.5% of those surveyed experienced physical pain. Conclusion: In summary, the ages of the survey participants directly relates to the degree of behavioral debility experienced. The more debility a participant exhibits, the greater is the need for social support and dental care. The dental health of a participant directly relates to a higher quality of life. Good dental health of a participant translate to better quality of life. In light of the fact that the elderly with physical debilities suffer from a lack of accessibility to medical care and worse oral health than do other elderly persons, it is essential to increase accessibility to medical institutions that can provide such services as door to door dental care. Current insurance policies, funding for denture insurance, and free denture and denture-upgrade programs desperately need to be expanded. Therefore, to improve effectively the quality of life for the elderly with physical debilities civil dental medical resources should be encouraged to provide inclusive and prevention-focused medical care. In the public domain, door to door dental care services and cooperation with civil dental care resources need to be improved to increase impartial accessibility to dental medical institutions.
As the research about supplementary education of radiological technologist who works in medical clinics, this study was conducted to draw the improvements by analyzing the satisfaction level and problems of the supplementary education. During November 01, 2016 to April 30, 2017, after we distributed a total of 150 questionnaires for the survey to radiological technologists working at medical clinics located in Changwon-si, Gyoungsangnam province, 106 questionnaires suitable for research were analysis by using SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis software. As the sociodemographic characteristics, the age, gender, working period, level of education, and working department were used. And As the welfare factors, working environment, financial support, educational opportunity, medical support, working culture, etc. were used. As the satisfaction factors, 21 items such as system, subject, help, appropriateness of lecturer selection, professionalism were used. And as the problem factors, 18 items such as place, transportation, diversity, administrative treatment, education promotion, proceed method were used. Consequentially, the satisfaction level(3.02 point) of the supplementary education were confirmed as normal level. And the problems(3.18 point) of the supplementary education was analyzed a little higher. The supplementary education is the mandatory education that any health and medical service personnel must complete every three years for license re-issuance. There were many opinions that the supplementary education for radiologists working in various medical institutions did not meet the education level of radiologists working in the medical clinics. In order to improve the satisfaction of the supplementary education of medical clinic's radiological technologist, it should be improved the quality of education through a practical education program that reflects various opinions and improvements on conservative education.
Smoking has become one of the public health harzard affecting the world. In the UK, smoking is responsible for around one in five deaths. The illnesses caused by smoking extend beyond the well-reported links with cancer, heart disease and respiratory illnesses. Hence the research to determine the awareness of the predisposing factor to smoking among adults in sokoto metropolis. A cross-sectional form of descriptive survey research design was used for this study. This is because descriptive studies are used when the characteristics of a population are either unknown or partially known (Hennekens & Buring, 2007), and it was used by Ganley and Rosario (2013) in a related research this justified the use of similar design in a study of similar nature. Two hundred and seventy returned questionnaire was collected, analyzed using descriptive statistic of frequency count, normative percentage and grand mean; as well as inferential statistics of chi-square (${\chi}^2$). The level of significant was fixed at 0.05. Appropriate degrees of freedom were worked out. There was statistical significant influence or relationship with marital status on the predisposing factors of smoking chi-square of 19716.516 greater than the critical value 43.77297at df 30 p<0.05. There were statistical significance chi-square =27468.348 which is greater than the critical value 43.77297 at df= 30. These show that there is a relationship on gender awareness of predisposing factors to smoking rejecting the null hypotheses. The respondents across different lever/year higher institution shows that the awareness of predisposing factors of smoking there were a statistical significance difference chi-square =7168.429 (df=88) greater than critical value 102.342 rejecting the null hypotheses. There is consistent evidence that links exposure to depictions of smoking in movies and initiation of smoking in young people. Over the years television shows and films have effectively built up associations between smoking and glamour, sex and risk-taking. Social learning theory describes how we learn by example from others. We are strongly influenced by our parents, and other people we look up to, such as peers, actors and pop stars. This can lead us to emulate their behaviour and try smoking.

This study investigates the characteristics of patients hospitalized at a convalescent hospital, by considering patient groups based on their medical record information. It further analyzes and correlates the factors, thus providing basic data required to improve the patient classification system at convalescent hospitals. The data includes total information of 213 medical records of patients discharged from a convalescent hospital in the Jeonbuk region during a period of one year, from January to December 2016. The study examines and correlates the days of hospitalization and the number of diseases, revealing a positive correlation having a correlation coefficient, thereby indicating that infliction with a greater number of diseases results in longer hospitalization. Based on these findings, the study raises the need to revise and supplement items on the patient assessment report to help determine the patient groups and identify medical efforts to be actually provided to patients. In addition, a proper care service system for each patient group based on their respective problems that are intensively managed according to the patient groups will be an essential element in the efficient management of convalescent hospitals. Furthermore, an important task addressed will be in managing the health of the elderly population at the national level.
The purpose of this study is to classify elderly patient in long-term care facilities using RUG(Resource Utilization Group)-III. It is designed by measuring patient medical characteristics and medical staff time. Elderly patients are classified into 7 categories by clinical(medical and behavioral) hierarchical typology of patients. Through the tertiary split, all 44 groups are formulated. This classification is explained by each patient resource(staff time) utilization level which is called CMI(Case-Mix Index). Major findings are as follows; 1. The objects in this study were classified into 35 groups out of 44 groups. The most frequent category is clinical complex category(CCC; 38.9%). And extensive service category(ESC; 18.8%), reduced physical function category(RPC; 13.1%), special rehabilitation category(SRC; 12.8%), and impaired cognitive category(ICC; 0.00%) are followed. 2. The mean of total CMI was $1.02{\pm}0.36$, ranging from 0.68 to 1.44(1 vs 2.12). The mean of CMI of SRC is only 1.17 which should be the highest. The means of ESC and see are equally 1.20. The means of CMI of CCI, ICC, BPC, and RPC were 0.90, 0.75, 0.83 and 0.96, respectively. 3. The validity of this classification was tested. Trend-test using Regression Analysis was done in the secondary split level. SCC, CCC, ICC, and RPC which covered 68.4% of this research objects showed linear trend of CMI in interim classification. This results were statistically significant. 4. In clinical hierarchy, the trend were showed linearity. But the multiple comparison of categories using Scheffe-test showed that SRC, ESC and see had same level of CMI means and CCC and ICC, too. This results were statistically significant. Classifying elderly patients with RUG-III, the results showed partly linear trend in clinical hierarchy and in interim classification in conclusion. But, in clinical hierarchy, it was failed to show the consistent order of CMI. It can be explained by two reasons. One is that this research subjects were overlapped in each clinical hierarchy group. And the other is that the some of the characteristics for clinical hierarchy is not appropriate for them. For the further study, it needs to have proper sample size and to modify RUG-III to K-RUG to consider our.. medical environment.
The purpose of this study was to classify the care needs of the older adults aged 65 and over and to identify characteristics of care need groups. This was a secondary analysis study using data from 2017 National Survey of Older Persons in Seoul. There were 50.4% in the general group without any support needs, 17.9% in the medical needs group, 14.2% in the welfare needs group with support needs of daily living or social activity, and 17.5% in the complex needs group with both medical and welfare needs. Significant differences were shown in most variables of the general characteristics, grading of long-term care or disability, financial burden and caregiving, health behaviors, health status, and life satisfactions among groups (p<.001). The complex care need group should be provided with integrated care service for medical and welfare through multidisciplinary team approach.
