  • In the past high cost and complex system configuration often discouraged hospitals from building teleradiology system or PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System). But new standard platforms enable us to construct the same system with very low cost and simple configurations. internet as a communication channel made us overcome the regional limit and communication cost, and WWW technologies simplified the complex problems on the software developments, configurations and installations. So whoever has a Web browser to access internet can review medical images at anywhere. And we adopted DICOM technology which is a standard for medical imaging, thus we could resolve the interface problems among medical imaging systems such as modalities or archives. The implementation is comprised of three part DICOM/WWW interface subsystem, image format conversion subsystem and viewing applets which are displayed on users WWW browsers. In addition, Teleradiology intrenet PACS system includes DICOM converter that non-DICOM file format converts standard file format.

  • In this paper, we propose the parser structure to realize the encoder which is standardized encoding rules to code and store the medical waveform such as an electrocardiogram or an blood pressure in aviation emergency medical service. To design the encoder based on the MDER, the effect on the scope of each tag should be considered. we design the parser with the root property which is to clarify the effect of scope between tags. the presented parser is implemented and compared with the other structures.

  • DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) standards are generally introduced as de facto and de jure standards in modern medical imaging devices to store and to transmit medical image information. DICOM Dose Structured Report (DICOM dose SR) is implemented to report radiation exposure information in image acquiring process. and DIOCM Modality Performed Procedure Step (DICOM MPPS) is also partly used to report this exposure with the information in its DICOM tag. This article is focused on three type of radiation exposure information of DICOM standards, 1) DICOM dose SR, 2) DICOM MPPS and 3) Radiation Exposure Monitoring(REM) profile by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise(IHE), to study on radiation exposure reporting. Healthcare facility and its staff of medical imaging related to radiation exposure should have a deep understanding of radiation exposure, and it required a standards to enhance the quality control of medical imaging and the safety of patients and staffs. Staff member have to pay attention on radiation exposures and controling processes from the purchasing stage of X-ray devices.

  • With improved network system and development of computer technology, a lot of hospitals are equipping PACS that deals with process and transmission of the medical images. Owing to equipment of PACS the problems on transmission and storage of the medical images were treated. The way to solve the problems is to use various image processing techniques and compression methods This paper describes RLC in lossless image compression method, JPEG using DCT in loss image compression applied to medical images as way implementing DICOM standard. Now the medical images were compressed with Wavelet transform method have been taken advantage of image process. And compression rate of each compression methods was analyzed.

  • Recently, the development of sensors and the mobile communication device offers a number of possibilities in the medical and related fields. However, this data is generated, it is difficult to match the metadata and standard units. The data integration is required to use the data generated by the different specifications of the sensor efficiently. Accordingly, in this paper we propose a method using an ontology as a method to integrate the data generated by the existing sensors and the new sensor. The ontology is mapping to the standard item and sensors, also include a type and structural difference. The mapping is comprised of two : data mapping, and metadata mapping. There are standard items that are created in this way, type of data exchange between services. This can solve the heterogeneous problem generated by sensors.

  • Background: Cancer treatments can have long-term physical, psychological, financial, sexual and cognitive effects that may influence the quality of life. These can vary from urban to rural areas, survival period and according to the type of cancer. We here aimed to describe demographics and psychosocial analysis of cancer survivors three to five years post-treatment in rural Australia and also assess relationships with financial stress and quality of life domains. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 65 participants visiting the outpatient oncology clinic were given a self-administered questionnaire. The inclusion criteria included three to five years post-treatment. Three domains were investigated using standardised and validated tools such as the Standard Quality of Life in Adult Cancer Survivors Scale (QLACS) and the Personal and Household Finances (HILDA) survey. Included were demographic parameters, quality of life, treatment information and well-being. Results: There was no evidence of associations between any demographic variable and either financial stress or cancer-specific quality of life domains. Financial stress was however significantly associated with the cancer-specific quality of life domains of appearance-related concerns, family related distress, and distress related to recurrence. Conclusions: This unique study effectively points to psychosocial aspects of cancer survivors in rural regions of Australia. Although the majority of demographic characteristics were not been found to be associated with financial stress, this latter itself is significantly associated with distress related to family and cancer recurrence. This finding may be of assistance in future studies and also considering plans to fulfil unmet needs.

  • China and South Korea have effectively reached a free trade agreement. The deal now faces legal and parliament reviews in the two countries. We need to discuss the recommendations on XML conversion with UN / CEFACT electronic documents. To solve this problem of interworking between these standards, Two kinds of translation rules is proposed for exchanging to UN / CEFACT Tag smoothly. For development and distribution of electronic documents to be conformed to international standards, it is enough to have the role of international activities continue to supply part of the domestic industry and the trends in participation and international standard. Our principal focus is on facilitating national and international transactions, through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and information flows, and so contributing to the growth of global commerce. The agreement with South Korea will be China's ninth bilateral FTA.

  • This research aims to suggest web-based 3D face modeling system for hairline modification surgery. As public interests in beauty regarding face escalate with era of wide persoanl mobile smart iCT devices, need for medical information system is urgent and increasing demand. This research attempted to build 3D facing modeling library deploying conventional technology and proprietary software available. Implications from the our experiment found that problems and requirement for developing new web based standard. We suggest new system from our experiment and literature review regarding relevant technologies. Main features of our suggested systems is based on studies regarding hair loss treatment such as medical science, beauty studies and information technology. This system processes input images of 2D frontal and profile pictures of face into 3D face modeling with mesh-data. The mesh data is compatible with web standard technology including SVG and Canvas Tag supported natively by HTML5.

  • The development of health information technology enables people to access, view and acquire personal health record. But still, there have been a number of obstacles such as the absence of the standard to realize the ideal Personal Health Record(PHR) system. In this study, we proposed the service model that serves periodic Health Record Summary which is made by a medical specialist to people who are in the busy lives. Healthcare data from EMR in a hospital including people generate themselves at home is sent to a physician to make a medical opinion, and then it is changed into Health Level 7 Continuity of Care Document(CCD) format for interoperability. After a physician writes his opinion about patient's health condition, it will send to people by email. People who receive the health record summary data by email can save them into a USB device to view own PHR and medical comments of a physician through a computer. It will help people managing their own health condition with an opinion of a medical specialist.

  • Internet addiction (IA) has become a widespread and problematic phenomenon as smart devices pervade society. Moreover, internet gaming disorder leads to increases in social expenditures for both individuals and nations alike. Although the prevention and treatment of IA are getting more important, the diagnosis of IA remains problematic. Understanding the neurobiological mechanism of behavioral addictions is essential for the development of specific and effective treatments. Although there are many databases related to other addictions, a database for IA has not been developed yet. In addition, bioinformatics databases, especially genetic databases, require a high level of security and should be designed based on medical information standards. In this respect, our study proposes the OAuth standard protocol for database access authorization. The proposed IA Bioinformatics (IABio) database system is based on internet user authentication, which is a guideline for medical information standards, and uses OAuth 2.0 for access control technology. This study designed and developed the system requirements and configuration. The OAuth 2.0 protocol is expected to establish the security of personal medical information and be applied to genomic research on IA.
