  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate nursing students' learning agility and confirm the mediating effect of self-leadership in the relationship between achievement motivation and learning agility. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey design. The subjects were third- and fourth-year nursing students attending three universities in one region. Data were collected from November 28, 2019, to May 25, 2020, and a total of 202 data were collected using the scale of achievement motivation, self-leadership, and learning agility. Data analysis included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS 25.0 statistics 25.0 software. The mediating effect of self-leadership was analyzed through regression analysis and bootstrapping using process macro ver. 3.4.1. Results: Self-leadership's partial mediating effect was confirmed in achievement motivation and learning agility. Achievement motivation was found to affect directly learning agility, with an indirect effect through self-leadership. Conclusion: The study results showed that nursing students could increase their learning agility through self-leadership improvement. Future research should focus on identifying the factors influencing nursing students' learning agility and develop and apply programs to improve learning agility.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data for vascular health of patient who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) by verifying the mediating effect of compliance in the relationship between risk level of coronary artery disease (CAD) and blood vessel elasticity. Methods: This is a descriptive study with 115 patients, who underwent the PCI a year ago and visited in the cardiology department from January to March, 2015. The risk level of CAD, blood vessel elasticity and the compliance were measured. For data analysis, SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS (IBM) 21.0 were used. Results: There were a positive correlation with blood vessel elasticity score (i.e. inelasticity of the blood vessel wall) (r=.189) and a negative correlation with compliance (r=-.658) in mediating effect of risk level of CAD. There was a negative correlation between compliance and blood vessel elasticity (r=-.482). The direct effect (${\beta}=-.226$), indirect effect (${\beta}=.415$) and total effect (${\beta}=.186$) of mediating effect of risk level of CAD on blood vessel elasticity were significant. Compliance had a partial mediating effect of risk level of CAD on blood vessel elasticity. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that managing and preventing moderating effect of risk level of CAD on compliance is helpful in restoring blood vessel elasticity.

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the causal relationship between positive emotions, positive psychological capital, and organizational identification, and to examine the double mediating effect. In this study, 369 social workers in 10 social welfare facilities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were sampled. The results of this study show that compassion experienced by the social workers has a positive effect on positive emotion and organizational identification, and positive psychological capital has a significant effect on the organization identification. In addition, double mediating effect of positive emotion and positive psychological capital were also shown to be significant in the relationship between compassion and organizational identification. Therefore, this study has the theoretical implication that double mediating effect of positive emotion and positive psychological capital are demonstrated in the relationship between compassion and organization identification. In future research, sample collection should be done for the generalization of the sample, and the mediating effect of positive organizational identity should also be performed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of middle school students'self-deprecation in the relationship between upward social comparison in social network service (SNS) and depression and the moderated mediating effect of cognitive flexibility. The participants were 288 middle school students, in the first to third grades from four middle schools located in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and Jeonnam. The date were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and the Process Macro Model 4, 1, and 14. The results of this study are as follows. First, an upward comparison in SNS has a significant positive influence on students'depression, and students' self-deprecation of students mediated the relation between two. Second, the level of control, which is a sub-factor of cognitive flexibility, moderated the mediating effect of self-deprecation. That is, if students are more likely to perceive difficult situations as controllable, upward social comparison in SNS mediated by self-deprecation has smaller effect on depression. Based on these results, we suggest practical interventions to reduce depression among middle school students by decreasing upward social comparison in SNS and self-deprecation. In addition, helping students perceive difficult situations as controllable could be another effective way of reducing depression among those students who have a high level of self-deprecation in upward social comparison in SNS.
