An Empirical Study on Situational Factor of ERP Introduction

  • In today's dynamic and turbulent business environment, in order to become globally competitive, many companies are trying to get closer to the customer and deliver value added product and services in the shortest possible time which demands integration of business processes of an enterprise, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is such a strategic tool, which helps the company to gain competitive edge by integrating all business processes and optimizing the resources available. This paper throws light on how ERP evolved, what makes up an ERP system and what it has to offer to the industries. The paper includes the role of ERP, perception of ERP value, ERP plan and direction. The author also argues checkpoints as a preview to ERP introduction.

중학교 환경교육 학습방안에 관한 사례 비교 연구 (A Comparative Case Study on the Environment Lesson in a Middle School)

  • In the present study, the middle school students' perception on the environment course was surveyed before and after three different lessons. It was found that most students were taking environment related issues mainly from mass media including internet and broadcasting. The young students were satisfied at practical experiments, but at the same time a few old fashioned experimental programs would not be preferred. Utilization of multimedia such as audio-visual tools was one of the effective tools for the environment class, because it could help to understand even the profound principles of the chemical and physical processes. However, some students did not concentrate on the display, causing frequent disturbance of the class. Since the school for this investigation did not choose the environment as a selective course, practical tools and materials for the experiment should not be sufficient, and thereby a further detailed work must be followed with the students who are taking environment lessons.

DCT영역에서의 국부 Contrast 조절 기법 (Method for Local Contrast Control in DCT Domain)

  • We implement the foveation and frequency sensitivity feature of human visual system in discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain. Resolution of human visual perception decays as distance from the eye-focused point, known as foveation property, and the middle frequency components give most pleasant image quality to human than the low and high frequency components, which is the frequency sensitivity property of human visual system. For satisfying the foveation property, we enhanced the local contrast at the focused regions and smoothed local contrast at the non-focused regions in the DCT domain without bringing the blocking and ringing artifacts. Moreover, the energies at each DCT frequency components is modified with various degree to fulfill the frequency sensitivity property. The proposed method is verified by the subjective and objective evaluations that it can the improve the human perceptual visual quality.

  • As media technology has made rapid progress, cultures in the world have spread fast. In addition, Korea wave spreading toward the world is taking shape as a brand that represents essential Koreanness. Such tendency has led attempts to seek Koreanness in the field of space design. The desire to escape from the absence of humanity that is based on mechanistic nature view has led a variety of ideas and concepts on space. In particular, concept of phenomenological space centering on human body has been emphasized. Merleau-Ponty found concept of phenomenological space that emphasizes awareness through experience of human body. In this thesis, orientation as situation, temporality as body, depth as consciousness, and correlational orientation which are key concepts of Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology were covered. Such concepts were used in analyzing the characteristics of Buseoksa Temple to present essential Koreanness.

  • In past patriarchal societies, childbearing was considered the sole possession of women. At a time when women were struggling to move into society, the concept of parenting as the mainstay of the capitalist economic society and the head of the family has naturally been taken for granted by a woman named "housewife." Since the role of male babies is as important as that of females, Fathers are trying to promote the importance of the effects of fathers due to active participation in childcare and help change old perceptions of the past. Men also know the importance of participating in childcare in early childhood, but often do not know what their children want or why they cry due to lack of basic child care knowledge and lack of education. We tried to give fathers the meaning of indirect experience and change their perception of parenting by producing interactive VR content, which is completed with dad's participation, so that they can experience the child in person. In addition, through familiar childcare professional product advertisement and 360 degree stereo sound. It is made to immerse in the game to gain persuasive effect, inducing fathers to have interest and interest in childrearing.

로만 폴란스키의 <테스>: 육체와 자본의 미학 (Roman Polansky's Tess: Aesthetics of Human Body and Capital)

  • David Harris argues that mass media suppress counter-hegemonic factors in order to reach audience. According to Harris's theory, the success of the film "Tess" depends on its effective adaptation from Thomas Hardy's novel Tess of the D'Urbervilles (1891). Tess (1979), directed by Roman Polansky, casting Nastassia Kinski for Tess, was acclaimed as a professional and commercial success, awarded with various prizes. Hardy's aim at criticizing Victorian English social and moral standard through Tess appears obscure in Polansky's film which focuses on the aesthetics of human body and capital. Polanski's Tess with urban white beauty does not emerge victimized by poverty, which the late twentieth century audience under the capitalist umbrella may abhor. To examine his use of music, sound effect, visual images by means of camera operation—angles, distances, close-ups and frequent movements—light and color, and mythic elements in the film, show Polansky's sharp perception of his contemporary audience's desire and conscientious work upon it.

  • 본 논문에서는 6 Fisheye lens 원본 영상에 대하여 Insta360 stitcher, AutoStitch[4], As-Projective-AsPossible(APAP)[5] 스티칭 방법으로 360 도 파노라마 영상을 생성하고 기하학적 왜곡과 컬러 왜곡을 비교 평가한다. 360 도 파노라마 Image Quality Assessment(IQA) 메트릭으로 Natural Image Quality Evaluator(NIQE)[6], Blind/Referenceless Image Spatial Quality Evaluator (BRISQUE)[7], Perception based Image Quality Evaluator(PIQE)[8], Feature Similarity(FSIM)[9] 그리고 high frequency feature 에 대한 Structural Similarity(SSIM)[10]을 측정하여 정량적 평가를 하며 정성적인 비교를 통하여 파노라마 영상의 품질과 평가 메트릭에 대한 벤치마크를 제공한다.

Harmonization Algorithm to generate Stereoscopic VR Image

  • In this letter, we propose a novel approach for stitching stereoscopic panoramas. When stitching stereoscopic panoramas, the amount of depth retrieved is the most important factor to pay attention for. Also, it is very crucial to deliver the two left and right panoramas with the right depth information to deliver good 3D perception. However, when stitching the two panoramas independently using the state-of-the-art algorithms and methods, we do still have some inconsistencies with the disparity map retrieved from the panoramas. To overcome this problem, we propose a method that modifies the latest conventional algorithm by making the two panoramas dependent of one another. This brings two panoramas with a much more consistent disparity map that lets users fully immerse into a comfortable stereoscopic vision.

A Study on the Relational Analysis of Human Errors in Railway Accidents

  • Purpose: This study examines the persistent occurrence of railway accidents despite numerous safety devices, highlighting the multifaceted nature of these incidents. Research design, data and methodology: Utilizing the 4M analysis method, the research investigates a decade's worth of accident reported from the Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board to identify risk factors and suggest mitigation measures. Results: The analysis reveals that 57% of railway accidents are attributed to human factors, followed by mechanical (28%), environmental (7%), and management (8%) factors. Conclusions: The study underscores the necessity of prioritizing safety and establishing a unified organizational approach to prevent human error accidents. It calls for an alignment of risk perception between headquarters and field operations, advocating for educational and perceptual changes, as well as systematic improvements to achieve safety goals.

예술 공학의 피드백 (Feedback Phenomenon in Technology Art)

  • 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 발전은 예술과 기술의 결합을 더욱 결속시키는 계기가 된다. 기계간의 상호작용에서 관객이 간섭할 수 있게 되면 그 결과물은 관객이 작품을 완성한다고 한다 기술의 업그레이드가 진화하며 재사용 되는 경우를 '피드백'이라 말할 수 있다. 백남준의 '참여 TV'는 기계가 인간의 행동에 반응하여 시지각 정보를 실시간으로 행위의 정도에 따라 반응하여 결과물을 보여주는 기본 방식을 갖춘 작품이다 댄 그래함의 작품에서 시공의 피드백을 경험할 수 있다. '연속되는 과거로 이루어지는 현재'라는 설치를 통해 관객의 영상이 거울에 피드백되는 상황 속에서 모니터에서는 5초 전 관객이 했던 영상을 재생시키는 장치를 하였다. 빌 비올라의 영상과 음향의 실시간 확대라는 점에서 감성을 자극하는 공명의 피드백을 일으키고 있는 작품처럼 우연의 시간과 관객의 등장을 바탕으로 한 작가의 철학이 읽혀지는 작품으로 승화되어야 하는 것이 현대 미디어 아트가 풀어 나가야 할 근본적인 화두이다. 스텔락은 몸과 기계 그리고 신경과 두뇌가 발생시키는 신호 체계에 많은 관심을 보였다. 미디어인 몸과 터미널 디스플레이 행위자로 결국 맥루한이 말한 몸의 확장으로서의 미디어 자체가 되었다. 제프리 쇼는 '명료한 도시 legible City'에서 관객의 몸이 관여하여 페달의 속도와 핸들의 움직임에 영상이 반응한다. 작품 'RE:MARK'는 에드몽 뀨쇼(Edmond Couchot)의 '바람에 심는다.' 나 백남준의 '참여 TV'에서 보여주었듯이 마이크를 입력장치로 사용하여 인터렉션을 유도하였다. 피아간의 피드백이 없으면 커뮤니케이션도 없다. 실감을 느끼는 관객들은 작품에 감동한다 피드백 현상이 자연스러워야 하는 이유이다. 작가 정신의 숭고한 고유-독창성(Originality)이 피드백의 경로를 투과하면서 자신을 남에게 투영시켜 얻어내는 것이 고유성의 변종이다. 피드백은 단순한 작품의 일부가 아니라 작품을 이루는 뼈대이다 기술의 과시만으로는 예술의 행위가 될 수 없다. 작가의 예술성이 관객의 감성에 피드백 되도록 노력해야 한다 그러기 위해서는 예정된 피드백이란 느낌을 관객이 갖지 않도록 하여야 한다. 인터렉티브 미디어 아트는 초기의 형태에서 벗어나 새로운 집적된 피드백 기술로 전환하여야 할 시기가 온 것이다.
