  • Purpose - Gen Y college students have emerged as a profitable consumer segment because of their growing purchasing power and influence on others' buying decisions. Digital marketing is deemed effective in increasing Gen Y college students' knowledge of and interest in products and services. This research examined the effect of digital marketing on Gen Y college students'perceptions, attitudes and purchase intentions toward cotton clothing compared to that of conventional print marketing and no marketing. Research design, Date and Methodology -Data were collected from three different groups of college students from a large university in the U.S.: the group with no cotton marketing, those with print media marketing, and those with digital marketing. Result - The findings confirmed that college students who were exposed to cotton digital marketing displayed the highest level of agreement on the benefits of cotton clothing. They also exhibited the most favorable attitudes and strongest purchase intentions toward cotton clothing. Conclusions - To target Gen Y consumers effectively, marketers should consider a digital marketing strategy to promote their products and services.

  • Purpose - This study aims to suggest a developmental direction to small enterprisers who start their business. The developmental direction makes the small enterprisers more stable with providing the Business District Information System service, which offers the location and business area's information aimed at pre-enterprisers after analyzing its overcrowded index's current state and problems. Research design, data, and methodology - This research proposes the developmental direction for helping the pre-small enterprisers to have more stability through examining the Business District Information System's-operated by Small Enterprise and Market Service-overcrowded index's current state and problems. Results - This system has drawbacks about giving the start-up overcrowded index as follows: ① non-accurate consultative group for sharing the DB ② providing analysis information, not evaluation information ③ not to anticipate the changes of business types & the flow of business district and perceive the symptom data with providing predictive information. Conclusions - This system should be more publicized through the mass media for making it approachable with collecting the user's opinion and investigating customer satisfaction & the level of awareness.

  • Purpose - This study aimed at investigating the process of inducing the effect of green self-expressive motive and the fit between green premium and product on consumer's intent to purchase the bundle product with the green premium. Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaire for on-line survey built at Google Forms was spread out via popular social media sites. 243 responses from the on-line survey were used for testing the hypotheses. Structural equation model of Amos 21.0 was used to verify hypotheses. Results and Conclusions - Green self-expressive motive positively influenced on not only the perceived value for green premium but also attitude toward the bundle. However, the fit between green premium and product had positive impact only on the perceived value for green premium. The perceived value was proved to positively influence on the attitude toward the bundle, which in turn increased the purchase intention, even with the positive effects of the product attitude as covariate on the intention. Therefore, marketers should choose target customers who have high level of green self-expressive motive and feel the fit, and pay attention to the green premium to help the customers perceive more values for the green premium. They should develop green premium product for conducting marketing effectively.

  • Purpose: There has been an increasing focus on consumer ethics by researchers and practitioners alike with the former seeking to examine the general discrepancy between ethical attitude, intention and actual behaviour by proposing behavioural measures to understand ethical consumption. Research into the effects of generational cohorts and gender, two fundamental demographic factors that shape the consumer habituated repertoire, on consumer ethics has reported mixed findings. The present study investigates if there are differences in ethical consumer behavior by generational cohorts and by gender in the context of an emerging market - Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: Data was collected using a quantitative survey (a link to the questionnaire was posted on relevant social media platforms). A total of 539 usable responses was used for ANOVAs and independent t-tests to test the hypotheses. Results: a) There are significant differences in terms of ethical consumer behavior between Gen Z and Gens Y/X, but no difference between Gen X and Gen Y; b) There is no gender difference in ethically minded consumer behavior. Conclusion: For consumer ethics, generational effects may be moderated by macroeconomic conditions, while gender alone as a biological variable may not be a reliable predictor.

  • he rate-distortion optimization (RDO) method in the H.264/AVC encoder is a technology that improves the coding efficiency, but increases the computational complexity. In this paper, a fast Intra mode decision algorithm using DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) coefficients distribution is proposed to reduce the H.264 encoder complexity. The proposed method reduces the encoder complexity on average 68.40%, while the coding efficiency is slightly decreased compared with the H.264/AVC encoder.

  • A Bit-depth expansion is a method to increase the number of bit. It is getting important as the needs of HDR (High Dynamic Range) display or resolution of display have been increased because the level of luminance or expressiveness of color is proportional to the number of bit in the display. In this paper, we present effective bit-depth expansion algorithm for conventional standard 8 bit-depth content to display in high bit-depth device (10 bits). Proposed method shows better result comparing with recently developed methods in quantitative (PSNR) with low complexity. The proposed method shows 1db higher in PSNR measurement with 40 times faster in computational time.

  • Current technologies on digital rights management (DRM) have focused on security and encryption as a means of solving the issue of unauthorized copying, that is, locking the content and limiting its distribution to only purchasers. But, illegal content copy should be protected not only from purchasers but also from other principals such as media distributors and content providers. In this paper, we designed and implemented end-to-end digital lights management system that can cover a content protection on the overall value-chains of content distribution. Proposed system provides content protection and secure management of digital rights in creator, provider, and distributor like in purchaser. Accordingly it can provide an environment protecting each principal's digital rights and prohibiting illegal usage of content.

  • Purpose - This thesis aims to propose a method to help financial institutions improve their customers' convenience online and offline through a Bluetooth based App using the tool of a beacon. The emergence of smartphones in the 21st century and their increasing use makes it possible to search for information easily. Research design, data, and methodology - With the short-distance Bluetooth technology for smartphones, which finds users within a radius of 50m to provide the functions of message transmission and mobile payment, users can access information services and use mobile coupons in certain premises. Thus, beacon-based O2O technology has been developed. Results - This study offers a method of attracting customers through an O2O marketing strategy that overcomes the existing limitations of Web and Offline media. Conclusions -Since beacon technology has the advantage of more accurate positioning than GPS, financial institutions provide their product information for users through the basic function of a beacon, using an O2O (Online to Offline) marketing solution and, therefore, effectively enable customers to make relevant payments online and conduct their financial actions offline.

  • In this study, effects of flow types and size of molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFCs) were investigated using CFD simulation. In the simulation, the current collector of MCFCs were assumed to be an porous media. With the area of $0.09m^2$, the effect of flow types such as Co-flow, Counter-flow, Cross-flow were studied. After that the effect of the size and flow direction was studied. Among three-flow types, MCFCs with co-flow type shows more uniform distribution and current density distribution.

  • Purpose: The research is to find out the perception of consumers for the convenience store (c - store) image in an emerging market, with a sample from Ho Chi Minh City. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected using a 24 - item structured questionnaire into six factors, namely: store atmospheric, merchandise, supplementary service, customer convenience, sales personnel, promotion. Five hundred consumers shopped at the different c - stores were collected for a multidimensional scaling technique that creates a perceptual map illustrating of c - store image. Results: The results point out that consumers' perception of a different c - store is different. The trend of c- stores are focusing on the dimensions of the function aspect. The customers also put their attention on the psychological dimension, which, in this case, is customer convenience with a sharp point. Almost all stores are bad on store atmospheric in customer- based. Conclusions: The modern retail store chains need to focus on elements to create a store image positioning and improve the perceptions of the consumers towards the store. Besides, customers not only visit the stores, not due to its convenient location, mass media or shopping experience, but also a strong identity for the store's brand image.
