후래시 현상을 수반하는 수직증발관내에서의 2상유동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on two-phase flow behavior inside a vertical tube evaporator under flashing phenomenon)

  • 본 연구에서는 후래시현상과 가열이 동시에 존재하면서 증발을 일으키는 수직 증발관내에서의 유동양식에 대해서, 우선 전기 프로우브를 이용하여 관내의 유동양식 에 따른 전기적 신호를 얻고, 시진실험 방법(photographic experimental method)을 통 하여 이를 확인한다. 또한, 전기 프로우브를 통하여 얻은 신호는 적절한 해석과정을 통해 수직 증발관내의 유동에 따른 기공률을 측정하는데 적용된다.

  • Similar friction welding were produced using 15 mm diameter solid bar in Ni-base superalloy(alloy718) to investigate their mechanical properties. The main friction welding parameters were selected to endure good quality welds on the basis of visual examination, tensile tests, AE total counts and ultrasonic attenuation coefficient. The specimens were tested as welded, not heat-treated. The tensile strength of the friction welded joints was increased up to 90% of the alloy718 base metal under the condition of all heating time. Optimal welding conditions were n=2,000 (rpm), $P_1=200$ (MFa), $P_2=200$ (MFa), $t_1=8$ (s), $t_2=5$ (s) when the total upset length is 4.4(mm). The weld interface of similar friction welded steel bars was mixed strongly.

사다리꼴 미세유로의 대류비등 2상유동 : 2부-열전달 특성 (Convective Boiling Two-phase Flow in Trapezoidal Microchannels : Part 2-Heat Transfer Characteristics)

  • Characteristics of flow boiling heat transfer in microchannels were investigated experimentally. The microchannels consisted of 9 parallel trapezoidal channels with each channel having 205 ${\mu}m$ of bottom width, 800 ${\mu}m$ of depth, $3.6^{\circ}$ of sidewall angle, and 7 cm of length. Tests were performed with R113 over a mass velocity range of 150~920 $kg/m^2s$, heat flux of 10~100 $kW/m^2$ and inlet pressures of 105~195 kPa. Flow boiling heat transfer coefficient in microchannels was found to be dominated by heat-flux. However the effect of mass velocity was not significant. Contrary to macrochannel trends, the heat transfer coefficient was shown to decrease with increasing thermodynamic equilibrium quality. A new correlation suitable for predicting flow boiling heat transfer coefficient was developed based on the laminar single-phase heat transfer coefficient and the nucleate boiling dominant equation. Comparison with the experimental data showed good agreement.

  • The present work experimentally investigated the effects of mass flux, heat flux, inlet quality on the heat transfer performance inside the U-bend of smooth and microfin tube using R-22 and R-407C refrigerants. The parameters were 200 and 400 kg/m$^{2}$ s for mass flux, 6 and 12 kw/m$^{2}$ for heat flux, 0.1 and 0.2 for inlet quality under the pressure of 0.65 MPa. The apparatus consisted of the test section of four straight sections and three U-bends, preheater, condenser, refrigerant pump, mass flow meter etc. The average heat transfer coefficient at the downstream straight section after U-bend was affected by U-bend due to the centrifugal force and mixing of two-phase flow in the U-bend. The average heat transfer coefficient at the U-bend was 4 ~ 33 % higher than that at the straight section. The average heat transfer coefficients were affected in the order of mass flux, heat flux and inlet quality. The average heat transfer coefficients in the microfin tube were lager by 19 ~ 49% and 33 ~ 69% than that in the smooth tube at the straight section and at the U-bend separately. The average heat transfer coefficients for R-407C were larger by 33 ~ 41% and 17 ~ 29% than that for R-22 in the smooth tube and the microfin tube separately.

병렬 마이크로 채널에서 FC-72의 비등 열전달 특성 (Boiling heat transfer characteristics of FC-72 in parallel micro-channels)

  • 본 연구에서는 병렬 마이크로 채널에서 FC-72의 비등 열전달 특성을 파악하기 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 병렬 마이크로 채널은 깊이 0.2 mm, 폭 0.45 mm, 길이 60 mm의 15개의 마이크로 채널로 구성되었으며, 실험은 열유속 $16.4kW/m^2$$25.6kW/m^2$의 조건에서 수행되었으며, 이때 질량유속 300, 400 그리고 $500kg/m^2s$의 범위에서 이루어졌다. 실험을 통해 측정된 열전달 계수는 낮은 건도에서는 건도가 증가함에 따라 급격하게 감소하며, 일정 건도 이상에서는 일정하게 유지되었다. 본 연구를 통해 마이크로 채널에서 FC-72의 비등 열전달 메커니즘을 확인하였으며, 실험에서 얻어진 열전달 계수는 열전달 계수를 예측하기 위한 기존의 상관식들과 비교 분석하였다.

수평 평활관내 $CO_2$ 증발열전달 및 압력강하에 관한 연구 (Study on $CO_2$ Evaporation Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop in a Horizontal Smooth Tube)

  • Experimental study on the heat transfer characteristics of $CO_2$ in a horizontal smooth tube was carried out to investigate the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop during evaporation of $CO_2$. The experiment apparatus consisted of a test section, a DC power supply, a heater, a chiller, a mass flow meter, a pump and a measurement system. Experiment was conducted for various mass fluxes ($200{\sim}1200kg/m^2s$), heat flukes ($10{\sim}100kW/m^2$) and saturation temperatures (-5, 0, $5^{\circ}C$). With increasing the heat flux, the evaporation heat transfer coefficient increased. But the variation of the heat transfer coefficient on the increase of the mass flux was not large. And the significantly drops of the heat transfer coefficient was observed at any heat flux and mass flux because of the change of the flow pattern in the tube. With increasing the saturation temperature, the heat transfer coefficient increased due to the promotion of a nucleate boiling. The measured pressure drop during evaporation increased with increasing the mass flux and decreasing the saturation temperature.

평활관에서 이산화탄소의 증발열전달 특성에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Characteristics of Evaporation Heat Transfer of CO2 in a Smooth Tube)

  • 본 연구에서는 이산화탄소의 증발열전달 특성을 이해하기 위해 질량유속, 열유속 기리고 포화온도를 변화시키면서 이산화탄소의 증발 열전달계수와 압력강하를 측정하였다. 질량유속과 열유속은 기존의 실험범위보다 크게 확장하여 내경 7.75 mm, 길이 5.0 m의 수평관에서 실험하였다. 실험장치는 시험부, 전원공급기, 히터, 칠러, 기어펌프, 유량계, 계측시스템 등으로 구성되었다. 건도가 증가할수록 증발 열전달계수는 감소하였으며, 이산화탄소의 증발 열전달계수는 질량유속보다 열유속에 더 민감함을 확인하였다. 또한 주어진 열유속과 포화온도에 따라 증발 열전달계수의 급격한 감소가 다르게 관찰되었다. 압력강하는 질량유속 증가에 대해 선형적인 증가를 보였지만 열유속 증가에 대한 압력강하의 증가효과가 크지 않았다.

  • Friction Welds are formed by the mechanisms of diffusion as well as mechanical inter-locking. The severe plastic flow at the interface by the forge action of the process brings the subsurface so close together that detection of any unbounded area becomes very difficult. No reliable method is available so fat to determine the weld quality nondestructively. The paper presents an attempt to determine weld strength quantitatively using the ultrasonic pulseecho method. The new approach calculates the coefficient of reflection based on measured amplitudes of the echoes. This coefficient provides a single quantitative measurement which involves both acoustic energy reflected at the welded interface as well as transmitted across the interface. As a result, it was known that the quantitative relationship between the coefficient and the weld strength (torsional strength) could be drawn.

  • In this study, a step-down piezoelectric transformer was fabricated to utilize as an adapter for charging batteries of mobile electronic appliances. The ceramic part of the transformer is $Pb[(Mn_{1/3}Sb_{2/3})_{0.05}Zr_{0.475}Ti_{0.475}]O_3$ with mechanical quality factor of 1600, electromechanical coupling coefficient 59 %, and piezoelectric constant d33 1300, which can be utilized as a piezoelectric transformer. A simply fabricated disk-typed test pattern of diameter 28 mm and thickness 2 mm was used to characterize resonant frequency, Qm, kp according to the different input/output electrode area. efficiency and power as a function of load resistance was also investigated. The sample APT showed some spurious mode and BPT showed better frequency property. Taking all properties which are admittance, effective electromechanical coupling coefficient and mechanical quality factor most suitable for piezoelectric transformer is BPT which has 12 mm diameter electrode and the condition of 15 Vrms, 30 $\Omega$ made the maximum efficiency of 93.7 % and maximum power is 6W with 50 Vrms.

  • Piezoelectric properties of PMN-PZT ceramics with $CeO_2$ impurity were investigated. Mechanical quality factor, $Q_m$ of 1792, 1285 and the electromechanical coupling coefficient, $k_p$ of 0.52, 0.54 were obtained from the specimen with 0.25 and 0.5 mole % $CeO_2$ respectively. Curie temperature was decreased with the addition of $CeO_2$ while the electric coercive field was proportional to the amount of impurity. Based on the system ceramics with 0.5 mole % cerium oxide, a Rosen type piezoelectric transformer was fabricated and tested. Voltage step-up ratios of 230 and 13 were obtained from the transformer at no load and $100 k\Omega$ resistance, respectively. Experimental results showed a potential of the transformer for the practical use coupled with the expected strength increase by the grain size refinement.
