This study aimed to test method on the accuracy of estimating the items parameters and ability, using the Three Parameter Logistic. To achieve the objectives of the study, an achievement test in chemistry was constructed for third-year secondary school students in the course of "natural sciences". A descriptive approach was employed to conduct the study. The test was applied to a sample of (507) students of the third year of secondary school in the "Natural Sciences Course". The study's results revealed that the (EAP) method showed a higher degree of accuracy in the estimation of the difficulty parameter and the abilities of persons higher than the MML method. There were no statistically significant differences in the accuracy of the parameter estimation of discrimination and guessing regarding the difference of the two methods: (MML) and (EAP).
Purpose: This study was done to develop a measurement for stress experienced by patients with schizophrenia during hospitalization. Methods: The preliminary tool was developed through in-depth interviews and a validity verification test of content. For data collection, 15 inpatients with schizophrenia were selected as participants for in-depth interviews and 195 patients admitted to one of eight psychiatric hospitals in four provinces were recruited as participants to test reliability and validity of the preliminary tool. Results: The questionnaire was developed as a four-point Likert-type scale in a self-report form with 28 items. Factor analysis showed 28 items in six factors. Factors were named 'Unjust human rights infringement', 'Futureless life', 'Alienation from other family members', 'Infringement of basic needs', 'Infringement of personal preference' and 'Inconvenience of shared living'. The six factors explained 63.5% of the total variance. Cronbach's alpha for the total items was .93 and for the factors ranged from .65 to .87. Conclusion: A tool to measure stress in patients hospitalized with schizophrenic was developed based on identified hospitalization stress experiences. Study results indicate that this tool can be used to evaluate hospitalization stress in these patients and will contribute to establishing nursing interventions for relief of hospitalization stress.

The aim of this study was to provide the basic 2-dimensional statistics requisite in the siting system and design of gloves. The 64 static measurements were selected to provide information about hands. Participants in the study were 824 adults, aged between 18 and 64. Subjects were divided into four age groups: 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 to 64, and separated according to sex. Statistical tests such as Descriptive Analysis, and Anova were conducted to analyze the data and ascertain the differences among the ages. The disparities between sex groups were compared by T-test. In addition, correlation among the 57 measurements was analyzed and the results were compared to the data from Japanese and other studies. The results indicated that all the measurements were significantly larger in the male group. There were significant differences among age groups for most hand circumferences, breadths and thickness items. As the age increased, the hand circumferences, breadths and thickness items became wider and thicker. In addition, as the age increased, the mean measurement value of the length items decreased, so that it became shorter. Hand length was highly correlated with finger length, palm length and height. Maximum hand circumference II was highly correlated with hand circumferences, hand breadth and weight.
In order to study the foot deformity hallux valgus, the rate of which is currently increasing, 235 patients who were diagnosed with hallux valgus and treated in an orthopedic hospital in Seoul had their feet calibrated before and after surgery using 3d radio-scans. Data from 209 cases was analyzed and scored numerically. We scored 10 items for length, 4 for width, 3 for angle, and 2 for height, for a total of 20 items. Each individual's feet showed great variation in most of the items and significant differences after surgery, especially in regards to length and height, which increased after surgery. Angle, width, and length of the distal parts of the toes decreased after surgery. Based on the results of our analysis, we conclude that surgery brings about significant changes in structure and measurement of feet. This research confirmed that there is significant variation in foot form and individual differences based on lesion size and location and, thus, it is difficult for hallux valgus patients to find ready-made shoes that fit them properly. Foot changes before and after operation for hallux valgus were analyzed and the results quantified; our results should be considered during product design by shoe companies whose target is adult women.
The purpose of this study is to analysis men's measurement and index to provide the fundamental information for he clothing design which can reflect the characteristic of their bodies The items of study were composed 34 items in measurement and 3 1items in index. An anthropometric database used for this study was the 1992 national anthropometric survey of Koreans. The range of sample was 1,059 men from 25 to 55 years old. The results obtained are as follows. 1) Men showed statue to waist height was 5 to 3, statue to trochanter height was 2 to 9 and waist height to torso was 5 to 2.1. 2) We have obtained 8 factors from the result of factor analysis in index. 3) As the result of cluster analysis about somatotype, men were types tow which were contrary to each other. And as the result of t-test between type 1 and type 2, upper body (factor 5), at factors(factor2, 6), and body proportion (factor 4) were intent to each other. Therefore type 1 was peculiar about the factors of 2, 5, 6, and type 2 was about factor.
Prior research on the fishery village tourism has mainly focused on the development and activities in the field, but lacking in strategic approaches. To overcome such a limitation, this study intends to measure visitors' authenticity on Gijang Anchovy Festival, test reliability and validity of the measurement items, and to identify the relationships among variables by a regression analysis of visitors' satisfaction. Authenticity means the value of existence. The types of tourism in fishing villages have been classified as fishery tourism, resource tourism and ecotourism and each of them has its own authenticity. Based on previous research, this study classified it into three factors such as objective authenticity, experiential authenticity and inauthenticity. To analyze the current situation of Daebyeon Anchovy Festival, measurement scales were developed and survey was conducted on the visitors for the three days from April 20 to 23, 2007. A total of 211 questionnaires were distributed and 208 were collected, The questionnaire contains 25 items on authenticity and 4 items on satisfaction and all the items were measured on the 7 Likert scale. It also has 8 items on demographic characteristics. On the test of reliability and validity of the authenticity, 24 items were used, Cronbach's was 0.7 and correlation was higher than 0.3. Factors of objective authenticity, experiential authenticity and inauthenticity were drawn from the factor analysis, which means that the 24 items may be used to measure authenticity of fishery festivals. The findings show that the evaluation score was 4.89 for objective authenticity, 4.36 for experiential authenticity, and 4.24 for inauthenticity. On the test of the hypotheses, the path coefficients were estimated 0.087 for objective authenticity, 0.202 for experiential authenticity and 0.503 for inauthenticity on the visitors' satisfaction. This suggests some meaningful marketing strategies for Gijang Anchovy Festival. First of all, the anchovy festival should focus on motivating visitors to revisit the festival by identifying individual traits, making a pleasant festival oriented toward family visitors, and providing more experience programs about anchovy.
Purpose: This study was to identify international classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF) categories that could be linked conceptually to disability of arm, shoulder and hand (DASH) items and short form of health survey 36 (SF-36) items for persons with shoulder pain. Methods: Linkage between each item in DASH and SF-36 and the categories in the ICF were assessed. The linking process was performed by ten health professionals following the linking rule. One hundred four patients with shoulder pain were enrolled from 12 private clinic outpatient departments and participated in this study. Pearson correlation coefficients were used to assess the relationships between each scale item and the linked ICF code. Results: Thirty DASH items were able to be linked to 30 ICF codes, whereas the 36 items in SF-36 were only linked to 17 ICF codes. General health items included in SF-36 could not be linked to a relevant ICF concept. There was a high correlation between the two measurement tools and the linked ICF codes, DASH and its ICF code list (r =0.91), SF-36-Physical Health and its code list (r =-0.62), and SF-36-Mental Health and its code list (r =-0.72). Conclusion: The results suggest that concepts within each item in DASH can be linked to ICF codes for patients with shoulder pain, however, the concepts in the SF-36 items had limited linkage to ICF codes. The shoulder-specific functional tool, DASH can be expressed with ICF codes and, therefore, its use can promote data standardization and improve communication between professionals.
Background: Equating is a statistical procedure used to create a common measurement scale across two instruments. Item-level information should be taken into consideration so that scores can communicate interchangeably across the instruments. Objects: To investigate a common measurement scale across two health-related quality of life questionnaires (HRQOL) applied to various cancer survivors who underwent palliative care in healthcare institutions. Methods: A total of 139 cancer survivors who underwent palliative care were recruited from two rehabilitation hospitals and an oriental medicine hospital. Participants consisted of various cancer survivors who presented to the sites for palliative care. They were asked to fill out Korean versions of the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) and EuroQOL-5 dimension (EQ-5D) questionnaires following the palliative care. For the item level comparison, the Rasch rating scale model was used to investigate how participants regarded individual test items of two instruments in relation to item difficulty calibrations. Results: All items except the three items fit the Rasch model. One item (anxiety/depression) of the EQ-5D and two items (dependence on medical aids and negative feelings) of the WHOQOL-BREF are misfit. The WHOQOL-BREF targets the survivors well, while the EQ-5D is able to target the survivors with lower HRQOL levels with some ceiling effects. By inspecting the item difficulty calibrations of the two instruments, five items of the WHOQOL-BREF are selected as common items in relation to the EQ-5D. These five items are considered compatible with each other. Differential item functioning (DIF) analysis reveals that the healthcare item of the WHOQOL-BREF vs the self-care item of the EQ-5D exhibits significant DIF. Conclusion: Findings suggest that one paired item should be taken into consideration when equating the WHOQOL-BREF and the EQ-5D applied to cancer survivors who underwent palliative care.

The purpose of this study is to develop clothing shopping orientation(CSO) scales fer more specific clothing shopping aspects. The specific aspects were the merchandise-related aspect and the store-related aspect. The two specific scales were developed based on the conceptual structure model of CSO and the general CSO scale. 16 items were selected for merchandise-related CSO, and 16 items were far store-related CSO. In addition, construct validity and convergent validity of those two specific scales were verified using AMOS 4.0, and discriminant validity were verified using Pearson's correlation. This study has significance in offering an advanced approach to the measurement of CSO.
Purpose: Recently, Korean cosmetics distribution market has been reorganized with the H&B store. In the domestic cosmetics distribution market, existing brand road shops are decreasing, and multi-shops are leading the H & B stores, which have greatly improved their experience and content. In these environmental changes, the offline distribution channels are turning into the multi-editing shops that have introduced products of various brands and greatly enhanced experiences and contents. Nevertheless, most studies of factors and measurement items for measuring customer experience in the H&B store use Schmitt (1999)'s Strategic Experience Modules (SEMs). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a measure that is practicable through consideration of the in-store customer experience components of the H&B store. Research design, data and methodology: Based on Schmitt's Strategic Experience Modules (SEMs), which are widely used in customer experience marketing, the metric pool was constructed through customer and literature research on H & B store managers. Since then, 101 preliminary surveys and 211 main surveys have been conducted in order to propose a dimension of customer experience and refine the metrics. Results: As a result of the research, H&B store's customer experience was derived from a measurement model consisting of 19 measurement items in total of five dimensions: environmental experience, intellectual experience, behavioral experience, tech experience, and relationship experience. This study analyzed that compared to the existing Schmitt's Strategic Experience Modules (SEMs), (1) emotional experience expanded to environmental experience, (2) Cognitive and relationship experiences are maintained (3) behavioral experience was subdivided into physical and technical experiences. In particular, the environmental experience has been proposed as a major component is an important point because the H&B store recently opened a large flagship store and is competitive in constructing a differentiated space. Conclusions: Related experience was seen as an important component of customer experience in the offline store, but in the process of refining the scale, interaction items with employees of the H&B store were removed, and rather, participation in the APP or SNS channel of the company, event Participation, interaction with other customers, etc. appear to be important, while suggesting the practical implications.
