Through shallow trench isolation (STI) chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) tests, we investigated the dependence of pad surface temperature on the abrasive and additive concentrations in ceria slurry under varying pressure using blanket film wafers. The pad surface temperature after CMP increased with the abrasive concentration and decreased with the additive concentration in slurries for the constant down pressure. A possible mechanism is that the additive adsorbed on the film surfaces during polishing decreases the friction coefficient, hence the pad surface temperature gets lower with increasing the additive concentration. This difference in temperature was more remarkable for the higher concentration of abrasives. In addition, in-situ measurement of spindle motor was carried out during oxide and nitride polishing. The averaged motor current for oxide film was higher than that for nitride film, meaning the higher friction coefficient.

The purpose of this study is to find out the traditional customs of family occasions-New Year Day, Full Moon Day, a marriage ceremony, funeral, first-year birthday, 60th birthday, other birthday, and moving a residence through a literature review. The content of each occasion consists of meaning, process of activities, costume, foods, plays, gifts, etc. The following research is suggested to survey on actual family life and to develop and provide ideal program of the family occasions through formal and informal education.

As the application domains of rule-based systems become larger and more complicated, the integration of rule-based systems within the database systems has become the topic of many research works. This paper suggests a simulation modeling using expert system and database. The integration methods employed in this research are as follows. First, we defined new states and state transition functions to interrelate simulation model and expert system. Second, we designed and implemented FCL(Fact Class Library) as a interface of expert system and database. FCL has facilities of filtering data from database, and assigning a meaning to the filtered data. Also, FCL detects the violation of the integrity rules in database, as the result of inference is reflected. Some implementation problems are pointed out and the methods to solve these problems are discussed in this paper, We developed a simulation model of the grating production line and executed it to validate the functions of the proposed method.

There are some studies about user's participation to reflect their desire and value on the planning of house by this time. These were constitution of unit space focused on the apartments, which is mostly theoretical. In architectural planning process, it takes time for continuous discussion and revision between architects and users. Also changes of plan must of necessity be so because of in or outside conditions. So, user's participation has its meaning that they take part in each step and portion of process faithfully on whole architectural processes. In this case, tenants of single houses were decided and they already buy building site and lay out rules jointly. With this circumstance I've researched a kind of test the reflection on various desires and its acceptance in each steps through completion of a construction work, which is based on their participation.

The rural traditional houses in Taebaek mountainous regions play important roles in figuring out values and social aspects of past time including housing life. But due to the introduction of convenient facilities in the current housing life style after industrialized society, many transformations have been taken place even to exist rural traditional folk houses such as installation of new equipment and furniture, the arrangement and function change of rooms, expansion of residential area and etc. So this study aims to secure basic data to prepare installation standard of the convenient facilities as examining convenience facility installation status of the cultural asset designated as rural traditional house, and to identify the meaning and usage of major room of rural traditional houses in order to prepare the proper balances between its original form preservation and residents' convenience living.

God, existing in the Tabernacle was designed not by man but was designed by Him Personally. The LORD said to Moses..... 'Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you(Exodus25:1-9). These words represent the Godly Origin of the Tabernacle. He referred to it as'A copy and shadow of what is in heaven' (Hebrews8:5) , Furthermore, The Tabernacle, a copy and shadow of what is in heaven, used in the Old Times, was his body(John2:21). Therefore The Lord is the true designer of the Tabernacle(Exodus25:8-9), and is where He dwells(Exodus29:46), and is where the sinful man meets the Lord(Exodus30:6). It is where the Lord dwells(Exodus29:46) and where Forgiving takes place(Leviticus4:20,26,31). Because of this, The Tabernacle is the most important out of any piece of architecture designed by man.

This paper attempts to prove Dickens's hopeful view of the future in his last completed novel Our Mutual Friend. This novel has been usually regarded as one of the "dark" novels, "dark" in the sense of viewing social reality and the future negatively. However, although it has the dark descriptive color of society typical in Dickens's later novels, it still contains some elements that point to a better future. To prove this positive view of future, this paper will disentangle the intricate narrative structure of Our Mutual Friend and find out the true meaning of the dust--money. In addition, it will investigate how people react to dust(-like money). From a close study of several characters' lives, it will testify that the dark world of Our Mutual Friend, in the end, could be a world of regeneration, a world that will lead to a better future.

Movie, novel and pop culture have effect on end of the 20th fashion with a view of distopia. It is the fear and uncertainty of the future. The characters of distopia through the works are divided into formative characteristics and aesthetics meaning. The future fashion of distopia expression mixed and various cultural life, also the mixed of utopia and distopia fashion. Distopia stimulates the designers to the new expression and expose their new areas.

This study aimed to understand students' learning in elementary science classes in terms of participatory perspective. Participatory perspective is based on the participationist views on learning. Based on the participatory perspective, this study used two concepts of participationism: 'the changes of learning on commognition' of Sfard (2007) and 'the identity' of Wenger (1998/2007). Based on these concepts, four episodes of an elementary science class were analyzed. The results showed that students carried out their learning from objective-level learning to meta-level learning. And students defined who they are by identifying and negotiating scientific meaning during the learning. These results showed students become members of science community through their participations in science class.
