Study of Solvent Effects in Diels-Alder Reaction through Charge Transfer Formation by Using Semi-empirical Calculations

  • Study of computational model of the concerted Diels-Alder reaction between 9,10-dimethyl anthracene (as donor) and tetracyanoethylene (as acceptor) in absence and in presence of aromatic solvents (benzene, mesitylene and hexamethylbenzene, as donors) using an AM1 semi-empirical method. AM1 method used to study the neutral charge transfer complex models that could be expected between donor and acceptor during the course of the concerted Diels-Alder reaction. Calculated enthalpies of reaction of the charge transfer complexes models showed physical and chemical meaning for explain the effect of aromatic solvents on the kinetic process of concerted Diels-Alder reaction that contains tetracyanoethylene.

  • The purpose of this research was to examine the factors that affect colleges that play an important role in technology commercialization as technology provider, and enterprises as technology user engaging in technology transfer commercialization by dividing it into strategic resource factor. And this study was also intended to present a strategic meaning and perspective relative to colleges and enterprises as well. To do this, those factors that have influences on technology transfer commercialization were elicited through investigation of literatures, and classified into strategic resource factors to suit research purpose, and based on these information, research hypothesis and research model were established and designed. Research results improved that some enterprises among benefited from technology transfer.

A CATALOG OF AGB STARS IN IRAS PSC

  • We make a new catalog of AGB stars in our Galaxy from the sources listed in the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) point source catalog (PSC) compiling the lists of previous works with verifying processes. We verify the class identification of AGB stars into oxygen-rich and carbon-rich stars using the information from recent investigations. For the large sample of AGB stars, we present infrared two-color diagrams from the observations at near infrared bands and IRAS PSC. On the two-color diagrams, we plot the tracks of theoretical radiative transfer model results with increasing dust shell optical depths. Comparing the observations with the theoretical tracks, we discuss the meaning of the infrared two-color diagrams.

  • 기술무역은 기술지식 및 기술서비스와 직접적으로 연관된 국제적·상업적 거래로 정의된다. 기술무역은 물품과 다르게 기술만이 가지는 무형성, 이질성, 가치의 누적성, 권리의 소멸성과 같은 고유한 특징으로 일반적인 매매 이외에도 라이선싱, 제휴 및 협력, 합작투자 등 상업적 목적에 따라 다양한 방식으로 거래될 수 있다. 이러한 다양한 형태를 포함하는 의미로 실무에서는 기술이전(Technology Transfer)이라는 용어가 일반적으로 사용된다. 본고에서는 기술이전이 이처럼 다양한 형태로 이루어질 수 있는 배경을 기술이 가진 성격으로 이해하고자 하며 특별히 전통적인 무역의 대상인 물품과의 비교를 통해 명확히 하고자 한다.

  • Evaluation of multilingual translation fundamentally involves measurement of meaning equivalences between the formally mapped discourses/texts of SL(source language) and TL(target language) both represented by a metalanguage called IL(interlingua). Unlike a usaal uni-directional MT(machine translation) model(e.g.:SL $\rightarrow$ analysis $\rightarrow$ transfer $\rightarrow$ generation $\rightarrow$ TL), a bi-directional(by 'negotiation') model(i.e.: SL $\rightarrow$ IL/S $\leftrightarrow$ IL $\leftrightarrow$ IL/T \leftarrow TL) is proposed here for the purpose of evaluating multilingual, not merely bilingual, translation. The IL, as conceived of in this study, is an English-based predicate logic represented in the framework of MRS(minimal recursion semantics), an MT-oriented off-shoot of HPSG(Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar). In addition, a list of semantic and pragmatic checkpoints are set up, some being optional depending on the kind and use of the translation, so sa to have the evaluation of translation fine-grained by computing matching or mismatching of such checkpoints.

응급의료서비스에 대한 대중의 인식이 공공의료시스템 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Public Perception of Emergency Medical Service on Brand Equity of the Public Health System)

  • This study examines the effects of the public's perception of emergency medical service (EMS) on the public health system's brand equity and the moderating effect of governance on this relationship using Keller's customer-based brand equity model. It uses four EMS functions: rescue/first-aid and transfer activities; disaster prevention, preparation, and response activities; educational activities in urgent situations; and medical treatment in emergency rooms to examine the effects of them on brand meaning of the public health system. Our findings are important for understanding the public as customers of the public health system and devising and/ or adapting healthcare policies and marketing strategies to develop brand equity and increase customers' loyalty to the public health system.

광고모델로 이전되는 브랜드특성 전이효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Brand Trait Transference to Celebrity Endorser)

  • 기존의 광고모델연구는 대부분 모델의 특성이 광고하는 브랜드로 전이된다는 전제 하에 모델의 광고 효과를 주로 검증하였으나 본 연구는 역으로 광고하는 브랜드의 특성이 해당 광고모델에게로 전이되는지, 전이된다면 과연 어떤 점이 차이를 발생시키는지, 브랜드특성 전이효과에 연구의 초점을 맞추었다. 연구의 타당도를 높이기 위해 실제 브랜드와 모델을 선정했으며, 실험자극물의 현실성을 높이기 위해 인쇄광고와 함께 TV광고물을 실험에 맞게 제작하여 동시에 활용하였다. 실험은 광고노출 4유형(브랜드광고 3집단, 광고무노출 통제집단) x 모델 2유형(유명인, 신인)으로 설계되었다. 분석결과 연구가설대로 브랜드 특성이 모델로 전이되었으며, 이러한 브랜드특성 전이효과는 기성 유명인 모델보다 신인 모델에게서 더 두드러지게 나타났다. 기존에 형성된 이미지를 가지고 있는 기성 유명인 모델에게는 이미지 특성 종류에 따라 브랜드특성 전이효과가 선별적으로 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.

영어 지각동사의 인지적 연구 (A Cognitive Analysis on the Polysemous Perception Verbs)

  • This paper deals with the polysemous phenomenon of perception verbs in terms of metaphor and metonymy and suggest a model of cognitive semantic structure for them. English perception verbs are often used for representing a mental, cognitive activity as well as representing a physical, perceptive activity. This paper looks for a basis for the polysemous use in the creative system of metaphor and metonymy, especially in the meaning extension function of mind-as-body metaphor. English perception verbs show a good example of a metaphor of domain transfer from physical domain to mental or cognitive domain. This paper suggests the conceptual chain and the semantic structure for the perception verb to show the possibility of polysemy and contextual modulation.

PST를 기반으로 하는 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션 모델 (A Multimedia Presentation Model Based On PST)

  • 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션에서 미디어의 함축된 의미를 효과적으로 전달하기 위해서는 미디어 데이터간에 존재하는 시간 및 공간적인 정보를 효과적으로 표현하고 처리할 수 있는 기법이 필요하다. 특히 이들 시간 및 공간 정보는 상호간 긴밀히 연결되어 있기 때문에 종합적인 표현 방법이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 시공간의 동기화 정보를 종합적으로 표현하는 프리젠테이션 동기화 트리(PST)를 제안하고 있으며, 이 프리젠테이션 동기화 트리를 이용하여 효과적으로 프리젠테이션을 하는 수행 모델을 제안하고 있다. 특히, 본 모델에서는 사용자가 프리젠테이션을 위한 시나리오를 작성하기 위하여 특정한 사용자 인터페이스나 스크립트 언어를 익힐 필요 없이 Allen의 시간 모델에 기초하여 시간 관계를 간단하게 작성하기만 하면 되며, 실제 프리젠테이션을 위한 나머지 작업들로써 시간 관계의 일관성 검증 단계, PST 수행 단계 등을 거쳐 k동적으로 프리젠테이션 되도록 하였다.

아동의 그림 표상 발달과정 및 언어화를 통한 표상의 촉진 (The Development and the Effects of Verbalization on Representational Redescription in Children's Drawings)

  • Karmiloff-Smith was first to propose the 'Representational Redescription model'. It describes a process through which children elaborate their knowledge from the unconscious and implicit levels to the conscious and explicit levels. The model also assumes that children in perfectly explicit levels are able to express their own representation of knowledge verbally. This study was conducted to investigate Karmiloff-Smith's Representational Redescription(RR) model(1990, 1992, 1999) within the drawing domain. Additionally, how verbalization training influences children's development of representational redescription in drawing were also examined. First, 331 children (4- to 6-year-olds and an older comparison group of 7- to 9-year-olds) were asked to create six drawings of both familiar and novel topics. From these drawings, children were measured for procedural rigidity and developmental differences. Thereafter 80 5-year-olds children who were not able to manipulate their drawings with flexibility were selected. They were divided into an experimental group and two control groups. A group of verbalization training was given a session using 5 tasks. Compared to the control groups, children who practiced verbalization in the training group showed more advanced levels of representation than their previous levels in the pretest. The results were interpreted as meaning that verbalization is likely to facilitate children's reorganization of implicit knowledge within the drawing domain and to transfer this toward explicit forms. Further research needs to pay more attention to the educational applications of learning processes based on representational redescription.
