중도시각장애인 부인의 위기 직면 및 극복 경험에 관한 내러티브 연구 (A Narrative Study on the Experiences of Facing and Coping the Crisis in the Wives of Men Having Visual Impairment)

  • Purpose: This study examined the life experiences of the wives of men who were born with normal vision but gradually developed a visual impairment, with particular focus on their way of facing and coping with their life crisis. Method: A narrative approach was used to not only understand women's experiences within sociocultural contexts, but also reveal the subjective meaning of their personal life stories through their own voices. A purposive sample of three participants having husbands unexpectedly diagnosed with visual impairment during their marriage was recruited. The data were analyzed using the narrative analysis methods suggested by Clandinin and Connelly. Results: The wives took the crisis of their husbands' visual impairment as an economic crisis of the family. They faced a variety of difficulties, including extreme despair, role changes, and economic burdens. On the other hand, they tried to keep the family secure through a range of coping strategies that were motivated by compassion toward the husbands, maternal affection for the children, and a sense of responsibility for their families. Conclusion: This study revealed the need for financial support for temporarily disadvantaged families. In addition, various nursing and counseling programs for the family members will also be needed to help recover the family functions.

뉴욕 거주 한국인 디자이너의 일상생활에 관한 질적 사례 연구 (Qualitative Case Study on the Everyday Life of Korean Designers in New York)

  • This study explores the daily life of Korean designers in New York. We use in-depth interviews within the daily lives of participants to first reveal the time structure and meaning of everyday life. In this everyday time frame, this study reveals the content and meaning of life in New York, which is especially useful for fashion majors. Participants were 11 single Korean women around 30 years old working as designers in New York. Data was collected from Manhattan, New York, from November 2013 to February 2014 through the use of in-depth interviews and participant observation. Data collected daily life information on time usage, money, and energy that is first summarized into 229 meaning units. In the following, 55 central meanings were derived from stories common to behaviors for study participants and 19 subcategories were compressed into academic language. Finally, the generalized categories are divided into six categories of study life, work life, future life, family life, leisure life and fashion life. As a result of the first study, the daily time structure consisted of customary public time and personal repeat time. Second, the customary public time categories included the studying for 'Beginning to jump again to the best', 'Now working as a designer in New York', and future life expecting 'Future growing as a career woman'. Repeated personal time categories include family life: 'A single life of a lonely and poor gentile', leisure life: 'Healing life that is supported by abundant advanced culture', and fashion life: 'New York fashion life coexist with harmony'. Third, work was the center of everyday life for study participants versus fashion and leisure that were central to everyday life when not working.

남북이산가족의 실향 경험에 관한 질적연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Experiences of Losing a Hometown among Korea's Divided Families)

  • The aim of this study was to achieve an understanding of the experiences of divided families in South Korea. The study adopted a qualitative method based on the interpretive science paradigm The participants were 14 elderly people who came from North Korea around 1950 and identified as belonging to the first generation of divided families. In-depth individual interviews were carried out, focusing on what divided families experienced after leaving their hometown, how these experiences affected their meaning-making about their homecoming, and how the divided community has changed. The result of theme analysis indicated that the first generation of divided families identified themselves as "people who lost their hometown." their hometown implied multiple losses, including their family members, socioeconomic status, and psychological support systems. The participants explained the process of their settlement and adaptation to South Korea based on the cohesion of the divided family community. However, they anticipated that the divided family community would fade away because of the aging of the first generation, the indifference of the second generation, and the frustration that existed about the reunion of the divided family members. The participants showed a realistic view on returning to their hometown after the reunification of North Korea and South Korea.

한국과 캐나다 거주 한국 노인의 심리사회적 성숙경험에 관한 연구 (A Content Analysis of the Psychosocial Maturity of Elderly Korean Residents in Korea and Canada)

  • This study examines cultural differneces in psychosocial maturity experiences between collectivistic and individualistic cultures. Personal, relational, and social dimensions were assessed to explore psychosocial maturity experience of elderly Korean residents in Korea and Canada who were psychosocially well developed through in-depth interviews and a content analysis. According to the results, there were diverse similarities and differences in the psychosocial maturity of elderly Korean residents between the two cultures. First, psychosocially mature elderly residents in both cultures showed positive self-concept and self-satisfaction. However, there were differences in their meaning. Second, in terms of interpersonal relations, the most important and satisfying relationship was the spousal relationship for both cultures, and relationships with children were satisfying. However, there were differences in the meaning of relationships between the two cultures as well as gender differences. Third, psychosocially mature elderly residents in both cultures reported psychosocial factors such as mature aging as a social dimension. Elderly residents in Korea regarded mature aging as a relationship oriented phenomenon, whereas those in Canada reported social attitudes toward mature aging. In addition, elderly residents in both cultures reported greed and harm to others as immature aging. Elderly residents in Korea regarded relational discord as immature aging, whereas those in Canada regarded it as demanding adult treatment from future generation. In terms of transcendence, adjustment was reported as living by going with the flow. Elderly residents in Korea reported adjustment based on fatalism, whereas those in Canada showed some religious meaning. Finally, psychosocially mature elderly residents showed a positive view, acceptance and life integration. These results are discussed from the perspective of cultural differences.

국제결혼부부의 가치관 및 의사소통유형과 갈등과의 관계 (The Values, Communication Type and Conflict of International Marriage Couple)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the values, communicaton type and conflict type also marital satisfaction level of international marriage couples in Chunlabuk-do. Its results are as follows ; the 140 respondents were surveyed for this study. The follows are to be concluded based on the study. First, they living with their extended family members(85.7%). So most women have psychological burden relatives relationship as well as marital relationship. Second, meaning of marriage and reason of marriage was differently perceived by both couples. They need a family life education program and counseling of marital relationship. Third, conflict and marital satisfaction level were significantly affected. Fourth, type of communication was the only variables that siginificantly affected the type of congruence by both couples. Age and nationality acquisition were variables that siginificantly affected by women on international marriage. In conclusion, systemic korean education program is an important support system for women on international marriage and a crucial program for their settlement in Korea.

국립법무병원 간호사의 정신건강 회복에 대한 태도와 지각된 회복의 의미, 장애요인 및 촉진 요인 (Attitude Toward Mental Health Recovery, Meaning, Barriers and Facilitating Factors Among Nurses of National Forensic Psychiatric Hospital)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국립법무병원 간호사의 정신건강 회복에 대한 태도와 지각된 회복의 의미, 장애요인 및 촉진 요인을 파악하는 것으로 서술적 연구 설계가 사용되었다. 대상자는 C 지역 국립법무병원에서 근무하는 간호사 100명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0 WIN 프로그램을 이용하여 서술통계, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe-test로 분석하였으며 대상자가 서술한 응답은 내용분석을 이용하였다. 대상자의 정신건강 회복에 대한 태도는 긍정적이었으며(3.90±0.41), 정신 전문간호사 자격증 취득 여부(t=-2.06, p= 042), 중독정신간호사(t=-2.36, p= 020) 자격증 취득 여부에 따라 차이가 있었다. 간호사의 지각된 회복의 의미는 증상이 완화된 상태(42.0%), 장애요인은 가족의 무관심과 편견(31.0%), 촉진 요인은 약물복용, 정신 재활 교육 및 치료적 면담(33.0%)이었다. 국립법무병원 간호사의 정신건강 회복에 대한 이해를 증진시키기 위한 교육이 필요하며 정신장애 범죄자의 회복을 위해 가족 지원 체계와 치료 환경 구축을 위한 조직적 노력이 필요하다.

프랜차이즈 패밀리레스토랑의 유형적 요소가 무형적 요소에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Visible Clues on Non-visible Clues in Context of Franchise Family Restaurants)

  • This study was conducted to examine the relationships among various visible clues and non-visible clues as perceived by franchise family restaurant consumers. Using online survey tool in South Korea, total 450 survey was distributed and 400 participants were used for further statistical analysing with SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 20.0. Twelve items were categorized into four visible factors (food, interior, exterior, employee). The result shows that food and employee have positive effects on brand reputation and distinctiveness, and the interior and employee were critical antecedents for brand distinctiveness. In addition, the brand reputation and brand distinctiveness have positive influence on experiential value as well as revisit intention. Although there were many studies which demonstrated the relationships among various quality clues and other outcome variables, such as brand image, loyalty, little research explained the relationships among visible elements of franchise family restaurants, brand reputation, brand distinctiveness, and revisit intention. The present study will provide theoretical and practical implications for both academia and the franchise family restaurant industry. (what is the meaning of the red part?)

만취정(晩翠亭)의 장소 전승과 원형경관향유 양상 (A study on the Meaning Contact of ManChwi Pavilion's Place Transmission and Sense of Prototype Landscape)

  • 본 연구는 기문과 시문이 장소성의 함의와 원형경관의 유추 및 향유양상을 탐색할 수 있는 근거가 될 수 있다는 전제로 임실 만취정의 원래 위치 및 이건된 위치에서 입지 및 원형경관을 탐색하고 그 의미를 추론하였다. 임실 만취정의 이건 전 후의 장소적 가치와 원형경관 보존을 위해 시도된 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정자의 당호 만취(晩翠)는 작정자 김위가 자신의 호로 삼았으며, 소나무를 마주보게 심고 만취라 편액하였는데, 시문에 근거하면 푸른 소나무와 같은 꿋꿋한 기개를 상징하고 있다. 특히 정자에 내재된 의미와 도입된 상징식물 등을 살펴보았을 때 당호는 절개, 가문의 장생, 생명력 등을 반영한 것으로 해석된다. 둘째, 만취정은 풍수적으로 강 건너 제비형국과 마주한 사두형에 자리잡아 팽팽한 균형을 갖고 있어 절개와 가문 번영을 염원하는 장소성을 지니고 있다. 한편, 이건된 만취정은 풍수적 복치형(伏雉形) 형국으로 해석되는데, 학문과 가문 번영에 대한 계승노력이 전승되고 있음을 유추할 수 있다. 셋째, 만취정은 1572년에서 1582년 사이에 건립되었으며, 이건은 1880년대 말에 이루어졌을 것으로 추정하였다. 넷째, 만취정은 변치 않는 절개와 가문번영의 염원을 장소적 언어로 대입시켰으나 후손들에 의해 만취 김위의 묘 옆으로 이건 됨으로서 조상 추모, 후손 학문번영이라고 하는 가치이동 양상이 추적된다. 다섯째, 이건된 만취정은 온돌방에 비중을 둔 사계절 활용, 공간 확장성을 고려한 툇마루, 주련의 내용 등으로 볼 때 강학공간으로서의 의미를 공유, 전승한 것으로 추론된다. 여섯째, 제영시에 나타난 소나무, 연못, 식물, 계곡, 시냇물 등을 통해 절개, 지조, 깨긋한 심성, 유유자적한 삶, 자아성찰, 인생무상 등의 의미가 투영되는 경관향유 양상이 드러나고 있다. 마지막으로 십영의 제영 언어는 원운과 차별성이 인정되지만 의미나 감흥을 통해 원운십영이 지닌 원형경관 향유양상은 전승되고 있는바 관련 시문분석에 따른 경관탐색은 원형경관 보존 및 활용을 위한 근거가 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

한국인의 건강개념에 대한 탐색연구 : Q-방법론 적용 (A Study on Health Concepts of Korean)

  • This paper as the basic study aiming the establishment of nursing theory according to Korean culture, is made to reveal the types of recognition about concepts of health immanent in Korean who have the health view, completely mixed with traditional oriental medicine and Confucianism and Buddhism and Shamanism and european scientific medicine, etc. This paper is using the Q-method, which is greatly effective in measuring the individual subjectivity, to collect rightly the concepts of health of objects. This analysis shows us the 4 types of recognition about concepts of health immanent in Korean as follows. Type Ⅰ: modern self-searching type(現代的 自己 追求型), Type Ⅱ: nature-sharing type(自然 共有型), Type Ⅲ: meaning-intentional altruism(意味 指向的 他者 中心型), Type Ⅳ: oriental adaptational type(東洋的 順應型). The men belonging to type Ⅰ have positive and self-searching view of health. They are not only interpreting the concept of health scientifically, but also positively accepting the oriental concept of health. The men belonging to type Ⅱ have strong tendency of down-to-earth. They not only have the naturalistic view of health as Taoist, but also carry the weight in the family and neighbour and regard co-sharing as excellent virtue. The men belonging to type Ⅲ are positive altruists, pursuing the meaning of life and at the same time setting the importance to the good value system. Naturally they care more the family and neighbour than themselves. The men belonging to type Ⅳ have oriental view of the world characterized by nature-adaptation. They positively agree to the Shamanism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Oriental concept of health. In conclusion, in all types we can see that Korean understand the harmony of man and nature as fundamental principle of heath and carry the more importance to the mind(心) than body(身) and at the same time esteem more the family-centric, oriental and organic community than individual. All above facts is immersed in the concepts of health of Korean as a common denominator.

유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 행복에 관련된 변인 탐색 (Exploring Happiness of Young Children's Fathers)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore socio-demographic factors, personality factors, socio-psychological factors, and relationship factors related to happiness of young children's fathers. Method: Subjects of this study were fathers who had 3, 4 and 5 years old children attending childcare centers. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. Results: First, father's subjective well-being was predicted by father's extraversion of personality, job satisfaction, satisfaction of economic status, marital intimacy, and relationship with child. Marital intimacy was the strongest predictor of father's subjective well-being. Second, father's global life satisfaction was associated with occupational status, family monthly income, father's extraversion of personality, satisfaction of economic status, marital intimacy, and relationship with child. Father's global life satisfaction was explained by satisfaction of economic status the most. Third, father's meaning of life was related to father's educational level, father's extraversion of personality, job satisfaction, satisfaction of economic status, marital intimacy, and relationship with child. Father's meaning of life was explained by relationship with child the most. Fourth, father's positive emotion was predicted by father's extraversion of personality, job satisfaction, satisfaction of economic status, marital intimacy, and relationship with child. Extraversion of personality was the strongest predictor for father's positive emotion. Fifth, neuroticism of personality and marital intimacy were related to father's negative emotion, and neuroticism of personality was the strongest predictor for father's negative emotion. Conclusions: The findings of this research provide the fundamental source for increasing father's happiness which can be used to establish the educational programs, counseling, and policy on general public's happiness.
