진동하는 유동장하에서 내부 순환 유동을 고려한 액적의 증발에 관한 수치적 연구 (A numerical study on the vaporization of a droplet considering internal circulating flow in the presence of an oscillating flow)

  • The two-dimensional, unsteady, laminar conservation equations for mass, momentum, energy and species transport in the gas phase and mass, momentum and energy in the liquid phase are solved simultaneously in spherical coordinates in order to study heating and vaporization of a droplet entrained in the oscillating flow. The numerical solution gives the velocity and temperature distribution in both gas and liquid phase as a function of time. When the gas flow oscillates around an vaporizing droplet, the liquid flow circulates in the clockwise or counterclockwise direction and the temperature distribution in the liquid phase changes its shapes, depending on the gas fow direction. When the gas flow changes its direction of circulating liquid flow is opposite to the gas flow, forming two vortex circulating in the opposite direction. During the heating period, the difference in the maximum and minimum temperature is large, followed by the almost uniform temperature slightly below the boiling temperature. The mass and heat transfer from the droplet depend on the droplet temperature, droplet diameter and the magnitude of relative velocity, giving the droplet lifetime different from the d$^{2}$-law.

소형(小型) 디젤엔진의 예연소실(豫燃焼室) 형상(形狀)이 냉시동성(冷始動性)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (Effects of Precombustion Chamber Shape on the Start ability of Small Diesel Engine under the Cold Weather)

  • 소형(小型) 디젤엔진의 예연소실(豫燃燒室) 형상(形狀)이 저온시(低溫時)의 시동성(始動性)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 구명(究明)하기 위해 8종(種)의 예연소실(豫燃燒室)과 2종(種)의 실린더헤드를 제작(製作)하여 $2^7$ 요인실험법(要因實驗法)에 의해 1회(回) 조작시(操作時) 최저(最低) 시동가능(始動可能) 온도(溫度), 최대출력(最大出力), 전부하(全負荷)(4/4) 및 과부하(過負荷)(11/10)시(時)의 연료소비율(燃料消費率)을 측정(測定)하여 분석(分析)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하연 다음과 같다. 가. 피스톤 상면(上面)에 대한 주분사구(主噴射口)의 상대각도(相對角度)가 $20^{\circ}$에서 $18^{\circ}$로 감소(減少)하면 최저(最低) 시동가능(始動可能) 온도(溫度)가 약(約) $2.4^{\circ}C$ 낮아졌으며 최대출력(最大出力)은 약(約) 0.3ps 증가(增加)되었다. 나. 실린더헤드 홈 각도(角度)가 $20^{\circ}$에서 $18^{\circ}$로 작아짐에 따라 최저(最低) 시동가능(始動可能) 온도(溫度)가 약(約) $3.3^{\circ}C$ 낮아졌으며, 최대출력(最大出力)은 약(約) 0.3ps 감소(減少)되었다. 다. 예연소실(豫燃燒室) 길이가 17.5mm에서 15.5mm로 짧아지면 최저(最低) 시동가능(始動可能) 온도(溫度)가 $2^{\circ}C$ 낮아졌으며 최대출력(最大出力)은 0.2ps정도(程度) 감소(減少)되었다. 라. 주분사구(主噴射口) 직경(直俓)이 4.8mm에서 4.5mm로 작아지면 최대출력(最大出力)은 0.2ps정도(程度) 증가(增加)했으나, 주분사구(主噴射口) 직경(直俓)만이 변화(變化)에 따른 시동성(始動性)의 차이(差異)는 인정(認定)되지 않았다. 마. 주분사구(主噴射口) 각도(角度)가 $47^{\circ}$이고 실린더헤드 홈 각도(角度)가 $18^{\circ}$일 경우(境遇) 시동가능(始動可能) 온도(溫度)가 가장 낮았으며, 주분사구(主噴射口) 직경(直俓)이 4.5mm이고 예연소실(豫燃燒室) 길이가 17.5mm일 경우(境遇) 최대출력(最大出力)도 가장 높았고, 전부하(全負荷) 및 과부하시(過負荷時)의 연료소비율(燃料消費率)도 가장 낮았다. 바. 실린더 헤드홈 각도(角度)와 주분사구(主噴射口)의 각도(角度)가 각각(各各) 시동성(始動性) 향상(向上)에 가장 큰 영향(影響)을 미쳤으며, 또한 주분사구(主噴射口) 직경(直俓)과 예연소실(豫燃燒室) 길이와의 교호작용(交互作用)이 최대출력(最大出力)에 가장 큰 영향(影響)을 미쳤으므로 이들 요인(要因)에 대한 처리수(處理數)를 늘려 시험(試驗)해 볼 필요성(必要性)이 있는 것으로 사료(思料)된다. 사. 본(本) 실험(實驗)에서 최적조건(最適條件)으로 나타난 시작(試作) 예연소실(豫燃燒室)은 기존(旣存) 예연소실(豫燃燒室)보다 약(約) $-6^{\circ}C$의 시동성(始動性) 향상(向上)을 나타냈다.

쌀의 수침 시간별 제분 및 쌀가루의 특성 (Milling and Rice Flour Properties of Soaking in Water Time on Moisture Content of Rice)

  • Power consumption, mesh size, moisture content, color difference, amylogram of rice flour milled with water soaked rice were compared with that of rice using dry pin mil process. Maximum water absorbance of rice was 35% for 2.5 hr. Power consumption to mill the soaked rice was less than of dry rice by 6.9kW/100Kg. Moisture content of rice flour from the water soaked rice was 2% higher than that of rice flour from dry rice. Population of flour particle was 52.9% of 60 mesh and 32.6% of 60∼80mesh. Gelatinization temperature of rice flour from the water soaked rice was 30C lower than that of rice flour from dry rice. Maximum and minimum viscosity of rice flour from the water soaked rice after boiling were 296 cps and 158 cps, independently. Brightness and whiteness of the rice flour from the water soaked rice were increased upto 10hr soaking and decreased after 17hr soaking. Brightness and whiteness of the rice flour were 96.17 and 96.02, independently.

초고층건물 샤프트의 수직구획이 연돌효과 및 급기가압 성능에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Zoning at Shafts of Super-tall Buildings on the Stack Effect and Stairwell Pressurization)

  • 최근 개정된 초고층건물 특별법에서는 피난안전구역을 최소 30개층 마다 설정함과 동시에 계단실을 수직구획 하도록 규정하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중앙코아 방식의 80층 초고층건물 계단실 수직구획이 연돌효과 및 계단실 급기가압 성능에 미치는 영향을 시뮬레이션 해석을 통해 분석하였다. 해석결과, 계단실 수직구획이 없는 경우 연돌효과로 인해 최대 차압 250 Pa 이상이 발생하였으며, 계단실만 수직구획한 경우에는 10 Pa 정도만 감소하였으나 계단실과 승강기의 승강로를 동시에 수직구획한 경우 최대차압이 약 125 Pa로 낮아져 연돌효과가 약 50 % 감소하였다. 또한, 계단실을 급기가압 할 경우 계단실온도가 실내온도와 외기온도 차이의 약 1/2일 때가 소요급기풍량 측면에서 가장 효율적인 것으로 예측되었다.

  • This study was analysed influence of urban higher temperature in Busan about time series analysis of AWS data. The results are as follows. (1) The temperature of Busan show min $13.2^{\circ}C$ ~max $15.8^{\circ}C$ by 50 years, it is on the rise. (2) The seasonal adjustment series, summer appeared min $17.5^{\circ}C$ ~max $28.9^{\circ}C$ with primitive series similarly. The winter was min $-11.4^{\circ}C$ ~max $17.9^{\circ}C$, the minimum temperature was more lowly than primitive series and maximum temperature was more higher than primitive series. The results, seasonal adjustment series is guessed with influence difference urban structural element beside seasonal factor. (3) Regional analytical result, January appeared with range of min 28% ~max 196% of the seasonal factor and August appeared min 90% ~ max 106%. One of the case which is of 100% or more of the seasonal factor January 12nd~17th, August appears at the 15~17th.

치과도재용(齒科陶材用) 합금(合金)과 도재간(陶材間)의 잔류응력(殘溜應力) 및 결합강도(結合强度)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE RESIDUAL STRESS AND BOND STRENGTH OF CERAMO-METAL SYSTEM)

  • This study was carried out to investiagate the residual stress caused by the mismatch of thermal expansion and the bond failure resistance of alloy-porcelain specimens. The thermal expansions of alloys and porcelains were measured by using a straight push-rod dilatometer. Porcelain glass transition temperatures, thermal expansion coefficients, and thermal compatibility indices were derived from length-versus-temperature curves. Strain gauges were used to experimentally determine the Young's moduli of porcelains, the residual stresses of porcelain surface, and tensile bond strengths of the specimens of simulated porcelain metal crown. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The coefficients of thermal expansion for alloys were the minimum of $13.53\mu/^{\circ}C$ and the maximum of $20.11\mu/^{\circ}C$ in the range of $100\sim600^{\circ}C$ and those for porcelains were the minimum of $7.72\mu/^{\circ}C$ and the maximum of $31.24\mu/^{\circ}C$ in the range of $100\sim500^{\circ}C$. 2. The glass transition temperature of porcelains exhibited the same value without my relation to the healing rate, and the thermal disharmony of porcelain and alloy was more affected by porcelains than by the alloys. 3. The Young's moduli of body porcelains were larger than those of opaque porcelains(P<0.01) 4. It seemed that the residual stresses of porcelain surfaces in the porcelainalloy systems were more affected by porcelains than by alleys. 5. The bond strengths of the procelain-base metal alloy systems were larger than those of the porcelain-precious metal alloy systems. The fracture strengths of porcelain surfaces showed significant difference between porcelains (P<0.05).

도시화에 따른 부산과 대구의 일교차 변화 특성에 관한 연구 (Analysis on Variation of Diurnal Temperature Range of Busan and Daegu according to Urbanization)

  • In this study, changes in daily temperature range were investigated using daily maximum and minimum temperatures of Busan and Daegu for last 81 years (1934-2014), and also characteristics of daily temperature range and seasonal fluctuations by urbanization were examined. First, elapsing changes showed a lower decreasing trend in Busan ($0.32^{\circ}C$) than Daegu ($1.28^{\circ}C$) for last 81 years. Daily temperature range showed the highest rise in winter in both Busan and Daegu. Second, daily temperature range due to urbanization showed that Busan had a pronounced decreasing trend before urbanization meanwhile Daegu showed the same trend after urbanization. On seasonal changes, the results of Busan showed a decreasing trend in summer before urbanization, and in autumn after urbanization. For Daegu, the results showed a decreasing trend in spring before urbanization, and in winter after urbanization. Seasonal fluctuations of Busan showed little difference in the pre and post-urbanization, except in winter and summer. There was large difference in daily temperature range in winter after urbanization, and in summer before the urbanization. The results in Daegu showed that there was decreasing trend of daily temperature range in all seasons after urbanization.

기상관측소의 이전이 계절평균 일교차의 균질성에 미치는 영향 (The Relocation Effect of Observation Station on the Homogeneity of Seasonal Mean of Diurnal Temperature Range)

  • The relocation effect of observation station (REOS) on the homogeneity of seasonal mean of maximum and minimum temperature, diurnal temperature range (DTR) and relative humidity (RH) was investigated using surface observation data and document file. Twelve stations were selected among the 60 stations which have been operated more than 30 years and relocated over one time. The data from Chunpungryeong station were used as a reference to separate the impacts of station relocation from the effects caused by increased green house gases, urbanization, and others. The REOS was calculated as a difference between REOS of relocated station and REOS of reference station. Although the REOS is clearly dependent on season, meteorological elements, and observing stations, statistically significant impacts are found in many stations, especially the environment of observing station after relocation is greatly changed. As a result, homogeneity of seasonal mean of meteorological elements, especially DTR and RH, is greatly reduced. The results showed that the effect of REOS, along with the effect of urbanization, should be eliminated for the proper estimation of climate change from the analysis of long-term observation data.

Viscosity Characteristics of Waste Cooking Oil with Ultrasonic Energy Irradiation

  • Purpose: While rapeseed oil, soy bean oil, palm oil and waste cooking oil are being used for biodiesel, the viscosity of them should be lowered for fuel. The most widely used method of decreasing the viscosity of vegetable oil is to convert the vegetable oil into fatty acid methyl ester but is too expensive. This experiment uses ultrasonic energy, instead of converting the vegetable oil into fatty acid methyl ester, to lower the viscosity of the waste cooking oil. Methods: For irradiation treatment, the sample in a beaker was irradiated with ultrasonic energy and the viscosity and temperature were measured with a viscometer. For heating treatment, the sample in a beaker was heated and the viscosity and temperature were measured with a viscometer. Kinematic viscosity was calculated by dividing absolute viscosity with density. Results: The kinematic viscosity of waste cooking oil and cooking oil are up to ten times as high as that of light oil at room temperature. However, the difference of two types of oil decreased by four times as the temperature increased over $83^{\circ}C$. When the viscosity by the treatment of ultrasonic energy irradiation was compared to one by the heating treatment to the waste cooking oil, the viscosity by the treatment of ultrasonic energy irradiation was lower by maximum of 22% and minimum of 12%, than one by the heating treatment. Conclusions: Ultrasonic energy irradiation lowered the viscosity more than the heating treatment did, and ultrasonic energy irradiation has an enormous effect on fuel reforming.

Experimental Study on Flame Structure and Temperature Characteristics in a Lean Premixed Model Gas Turbine Combustor

  • Experimental study was carried out in an atmospheric pressure, laboratory-scale dump combustor showing features of combustion instabilities. Flame structure and heat release rates were obtained from OH emission spectroscopy. Qualitative comparisons were made between line-integrated OH chemiluminescence image and Abel-transformed one. Local Rayleigh index distributions were also examined. Mean temperature, normalized standard deviation and temperature fluctuations were measured by coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS). To see the periodic behavior of oscillating flames, phase-resolved measurements were performed with respect to the pressure wave in the combustor. Results on system damping and driving characteristics were provided as a function of equivalence ratio. It also could be observed that phase resolved temperatures have been changed in a well-defined manner, while its difference between maximum and minimum reached up to 280K. These results would be expected to play an important role in better understanding of driving mechanisms and thermo-acoustic interactions.
