Cu wire catalyst was highly reactive toward catalytic wet peroxide oxidation of the highly refractory 1,4-dioxane. While complete removal of 1,4-dioxane could be achieved with the catalyst, the removed 1,4-dioxane could not totally mineralized into $CO_2$ and $H_2O$. In accordance with the disappearance of 1,4-dioxane, formaldehyde and oxalic acid were formed gradually with reaction time and they went through maxima. At around the time of maximum concentrations of these two intermediates acetaldehyde concentration was increased drastically and showed maximum value. With the disappearance of these three intermediates, formic acid together with ethylene glycol diformate began to increase gradually. The Cu wire catalyst was proved also to be highly stable against deactivation during the reaction.

Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (EC 2.4.1.19 : 1,4-$alpha$-glucan 4-$alpha$-D-(1,4-glucano) transferase, cyclizing; CGTase) was recovered by starch adsorption. The adsorption and desorption of CGTase to starch was studied as a function of pH, temperature, and starch type. The optimal pH, temperature, and starch for adsorption were, 8.0, $4^{circ}C$, and 1% (w/v) corn starch, respectively, per 205 U/mL enzyme activity in the presence of 25% (w/v) ammonium sulfate. The maximum adsorption ratio was 95%. On the other hand, the optimal pH, temperature, and starch type for desorption were 8.0 (tris-buffer), $50^{circ}C$, and oxidized starch, respectively. The maximum desorption ratio was 98% by tris-buffer solution at pH 8.0. The efficiency of adsorption and desorption were affected slightly by the removal of cells from the fermentation broth.

This paper proposes transmit power control techniques with fading channel prediction scheme based on recurrent neural network for high-speed mobile communication systems. The operation result of recurrent neural network which is derived interpretively solves complexity problems of neural network circuit, and channel gain of multiple transmit antenna is derived with maximum ratio combining(MRC) by using the operation result, and this channel gain control transmit power of each antenna. simulation results show that proposed method has a outstanding performance compared to method that is not to be controlled power based on channel prediction. Most of legacy studies are for robust receive technique of fading signals or channel prediction of fading signals limited low-speed mobility, but in open loop Power control, proposed channel prediction method decrease system complexity with removal of fading effect in transmitter.

$NO_x$ reduction of stationary exhaust was performed at atmospheric condition and the temperature ranging from $200^{\circ}C$ to $500^{\circ}C$ over ZSM-5 supported metal catalyst. The characteristics of the prepared catalysts were investigated using the analytical techniques such as SEM, XRD, EDX, ICP and ITR. The results of EDX and ICP analysis demonstrated that the most part of transition metal existed on the exterior surface of support. Maximum de-$NO_x$ yield over Fe/ZSM-5 shown between $380^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$ was presumed to be due to the maximum H2 reduction rate at $400^{\circ}C$ of ITR.

Porous alginate-based hydrogel beads (porous ABH) have been prepared through a facile and sustainable template-assisted method using nano-calcium carbonate and nano-$CaCO_3$ as pore-directing agent for the efficient capture of methylene blue (MB). The materials were characterized by various techniques. The sorption capacities of ABH towards MB were compared with pure sodium alginate (ABH-1:0) in batch and fixed-bed column adsorption studies. The obtained adsorbent (ABH-1:3) has a higher BET surface area and a smaller average pore diameter. The maximum adsorption capacity of ABH-1:3 obtained from Langmuir model was as high as $1,426.0mg\;g^{-1}$. The kinetics strictly followed pseudo-second order rate equation and the adsorption reaction was effectively facilitated, approximately 50 minutes to achieve adsorption equilibrium, which was significantly shorter than that of ABH-1:0. The thermodynamic parameters revealed that the adsorption was spontaneous and exothermic. Thomas model fitted well with the breakthrough curves and could describe the dynamic behavior of the column. More significantly, the uptake capacity of ABH-1:3 was still higher than 75% of the maximum adsorption capacity even after ten cycles, indicating that this novel adsorbent can be a promising adsorptive material for removal of MB from aqueous solution under batch and continuous systems.
A zeolitic material (Z-Y2) was synthesized from Coal Fly Ash (CFA) using a fusion/hydrothermal method under low-alkali condition (NaOH/CFA = 0.6). The adsorption performance of the prepared zeolite was evaluated by monitoring its removal efficiencies for Sr and Cs ions, which are well-known as significant radionuclides in liquid radioactive waste. The XRD (X-ray diffraction) patterns of the synthesized Z-Y2 indicated that a Na-A type zeolite was formed from raw coal fly ash. The SEM (scanning electron microscope) images also showed that a cubic crystal structure of size $1{\sim}3{\mu}m$ was formed on its surface. In the adsorption kinetic analysis, the adsorption of Sr and Cs ions on Z-Y2 fitted the pseudo-second-order kinetic model well, instead of the pseudo-first-order kinetic model. The second-order kinetic rate constant ($k_2$) was determined to be $0.0614g/mmol{\cdot}min$ for Sr and $1.8172g/mmol{\cdot}min$ for Cs. The adsorption equilibria of Sr and Cs ions on Z-Y2 were fitted successfully by Langmuir model. The maximum adsorption capacity ($q_m$) of Sr and Cs was calculated as 1.6846 mmol/g and 1.2055 mmol/g, respectively. The maximum desorption capacity ($q_{dm}$) of the Na ions estimated via the Langmuir desorption model was 2.4196 mmol/g for Sr and 2.1870 mmol/g for Cs. The molar ratio of the desorption/adsorption capacity ($q_{dm}/q_m$) was determined to be 1.44 for Na/Sr and 1.81 for Na/Cs, indicating that the amounts of desorbed Na ions and adsorbed Sr and Cs ions did not yield an equimolar ratio when using Z-Y2.

Current industrial flow is directed toward reducing the usage of raw materials by reusing parts, which is referred to as a circular economy (CE). Repair is one of the most value-added approaches in CE, which can be efficiently accomplished via additive manufacturing. The repair technology of metallic parts via the directed energy deposition process, which includes the selective removal and redeposition of damaged regions of metallic parts. Residual stress characteristics depend on the shape of the part and the shape of the redeposition region. The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of the radius and corner position of the substrate on the residual stresses for repair by using finite element analysis (FEA). The residual stress distribution of the 45° angle groove at the edge of the circular shape models on the outer and inner radii was analytically investigated. The analysis was accomplished using SYSWELD software by applying a moving heat source with defined material properties and cooling conditions integrated into the FEA model. The results showed a similar pattern of concentrated stress distribution for all models except the 40-mm and 60-mm radii, for which the maximum stress locations were different. The maximum residual stresses are high but lower than the yield strength, suggesting the absence of cracks and fractures due to residual stresses.

Earthworm casting was the natural fertilizer that contained high concentrations of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphate and potassium and of over $10^8$ CFU/ml of microorganisms. Greater than 80% of feed was excreted through the fermentation by the intestinal enzyme, after worm had eaten feeds such as fallen leaves and rotten roots under the ground. Also, the soil structure of casting was known to be very efficient in the aspects of the porosity, the water permeability, and deodorizing activities. In this research, the biofilter packed with a biomedia made of casting and waste polyurethane foam, a binder, which helped to improve the durability and perpetuity of casting, was investigated to degrade malodorous hydrogen sulfide gas. The biomedia had no need of extra supply of nutrients and of microbial inoculations. On the beginning of the operations, it showed 100% removal of hydrogen sulfide gas without lag phase. At SV of 50 $h^{-1}$, hydrogen sulfide gas from the outlet of the biofilter was not detected, when inlet concentration increased to 450 ppmv. After that, removal efficiency decreased as increasing inlet hydrogen sulfide concentration. Hydrogen sulfide removal was maintained at almost 93% until inlet concentration was increased up to 950 ppmv, at which the elimination capacity of $H_2S$ was 61.2 g $S{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$. Maximum elimination capacity guaranteing 90% removal was 61.2, 65.9, 84.7, 89.4 g $S{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$ at SV ranging from 50 $h^{-1}$ to 300 $h^{-1}$, but was 59.3 g $S{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$ at SV of 400 $h^{-1}$. The results calculated from Michaelis-Menten equation revealed that $V_m$ increased from 66.04, 88.96, 117.35, 224.15, to 227.54 g $S{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$ with increasing space velocity in the range of 50 $h^{-1}$ to 400 $h^{-1}$. However, saturation constant$(K_s)$ decreased from 79.97 ppmv to 64.95 and 65.37 ppmv, and then increased to 127.72 and 157.43 ppmv.
Nutrients removal by water hyacinth, Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms from nutrient enriched waters and swinery wastewater were evaluated. The contents of nitrogen and phosphorus of dried water hyacinth increased from 1.4 to 3.3% and 0.21 to 0.80% when water hyacinth available N and P in the culture medium were increased from 0.7 to 5.0 mgN/1 and 0.06 o 1.5 mgP/l. respectively. Maximum N and P contents were found to be 4.1 and 0.90%, respectively. The significant relationship was observed between the standing crop of water hyacinth and the biomass yield per unit area and time. Biomass yield increased gradually until standing crop reached 15 kg wet wt./m$^2$, and then rapidly decreased. The high biomass yield of up to 0.5 kg/m$^2$/day was obtained in the range of 7 to 20 kg/m$^2$of standing crop. The potential removal rates of N and P by the water hyacinth during summer were found to be 2,250 to 2,710 mgN/m$^2$/day and 570 to 595 mgP/m$^2$/day, respectively, when 15 kg/m$^2$in standing crop and nutrient concentrations of culture medium were ranged from 1.24 to 6.2 mgP/1 and 3.2 to 32.5 mgN/1, respectively, Inorganic N and P concentrations of swinery wastewater were in the range of 82 to 121 mgN/1 and 22 to 79 mgP/1, respectively. Nitrogen and P removal rates of water hyacinth cultured in swinery wastewater were found to be in the ranges of 2,000 to 2,600 mgN/m$^2$/day and 157 to 254 mgP/m$^2$/day, respectively, at 10 times diluted water of swinery wastewater.
