16-QAM 신호에 대한 CCA 적응 등화 알고리즘 성능 분석 (The Performance Analysis of CCA Adaptive Equalization Algorithm for 16-QAM Signal)

  • 본 논문은 시분산 통신 채널에서 부호간 간섭을 수신측에서 경감시키기 위하여 사용되는 CCA (Compact Constellation Algorithm) 적응 등화 알고리즘의 성능을 비교하였다. 이 알고리즘은 기본적으로 CMA 등화기의 위상 미복원 문제를 해결하기 위하여 등장하였으며 DDA(Decision Directed Algorithm)와 RCA(Reduced Constellation Algorithm)의 개념을 조합하였다. DDA는 단일 레벨 신호에 대해서는 안정된 수렴 특성을 갖지만 다중 레벨의 수가 큰 QAM 신호에 대해서는 매우 불안한 문제점을 가지며, RCA는 초기 수렴 상태가 보장되지 않거나, 수렴후 안정 상태에서 misadjustment에 의한 등화 잡음이 DDA보다 큰 문제점이 있으므로, 이와 같은 점들을 개선하기 위해 CCA 적응 등화 알고리즘이 등장하였다. CCA 적응 등화 알고리즘의 성능 분석을 위하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 이를 위해 수신측에서의 등화기 출력 신호인 복원된 신호 성상도, 잔류 isi와 MD (Maximum Distortion) 곡선에 의한 수렴 특성 및 SER (Symbol Error Rate) 성능을 DDA, RCA와 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 모든 성능 지수에서 DDA가 가장 우월하였지만 수렴이 보장되지 않으며, 멀티 레벨 신호에서의 불안정성이 있으므로 이를 해결할 수 있는 CCA가 RCA보다 우월한 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다.

Generating Motion- and Distortion-Free Local Field Map Using 3D Ultrashort TE MRI: Comparison with T2* Mapping

  • Purpose: To generate phase images with free of motion-induced artifact and susceptibility-induced distortion using 3D radial ultrashort TE (UTE) MRI. Materials and Methods: The field map was theoretically derived by solving Laplace's equation with appropriate boundary conditions, and used to simulate the image distortion in conventional spin-warp MRI. Manufacturer's 3D radial imaging sequence was modified to acquire maximum number of radial spokes in a given time, by removing the spoiler gradient and sampling during both rampup and rampdown gradient. Spoke direction randomly jumps so that a readout gradient acts as a spoiling gradient for the previous spoke. The custom raw data was reconstructed using a homemade image reconstruction software, which is programmed using Python language. The method was applied to a phantom and in-vivo human brain and abdomen. The performance of UTE was compared with 3D GRE for phase mapping. Local phase mapping was compared with T2* mapping using UTE. Results: The phase map using UTE mimics true field-map, which was theoretically calculated, while that using 3D GRE revealed both motion-induced artifact and geometric distortion. Motion-free imaging is particularly crucial for application of phase mapping for abdomen MRI, which typically requires multiple breathold acquisitions. The air pockets, which are caught within the digestive pathway, induce spatially varying and large background field. T2* map, that was calculated using UTE data, suffers from non-uniform T2* value due to this background field, while does not appear in the local phase map of UTE data. Conclusion: Phase map generated using UTE mimicked the true field map even when non-zero susceptibility objects were present. Phase map generated by 3D GRE did not accurately mimic the true field map when non-zero susceptibility objects were present due to the significant field distortion as theoretically calculated. Nonetheless, UTE allows for phase maps to be free of susceptibility-induced distortion without the use of any post-processing protocols.

계통연계형 태양광 인버터의 새로운 최대 전력점 추종과 태양전지의 전류리플 감소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the New Maximum Power Point Tracking and Current Ripple Reduction of Solar Cell for the Grid-connected PV Inverter)

  • 태양광 인버터는 항상 태양전지 어레이의 최대 전력을 추종하며 동작해야 한다. 또한 태양광 인버터는 폭넓은 태양전지의 최대 전력점 전압과 관계없이 최대 전력점을 추종해야 한다. 태양전지의 전류리플이 발생한다면 최대 전력점 추종 기능이 저하되고 일사량 변동이나 최대 전력점 변동 시 정상적으로 추종하기 어려워진다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 고효율의 새로운 최대 전력점 추종 알고리즘과 태양전지의 전류리플 감소 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 4KW급 계통연계형 태양광 인버터에 적용하여 실험한 결과 최대 전력점 추종 효율이 99.97%, 인버터 출력 효율은 97.5%, 인버터 전류의 고조파 총 왜곡률은 1.05%로 우수한 성능을 보였다. 또한 0.5초 동안 일사량을 100% -> 10%, 10% -> 100%로 급격히 변동하였을 때에도 안정된 최대 전력점 추종이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we composed utility interactive photovoltaic generation system of current source inverter, and controlled that low harmonic and high power factor are hold by supposing control and compensation method which is concerned with synchronous signal distortion and modulation delay. And we put parallel resonant circuit into dc link, so, magnitude of direct reactance was reduce by restraining direct current pulsation which had accumulation of pulsating power in alternating electrolytic condenser. Also we controlled that modulation factor is operated around maximum output of solar cell.

Optimum MVF Estimation-Based Two-Band Excitation for HMM-Based Speech Synthesis

  • The optimum maximum voiced frequency (MVF) estimation-based two-band excitation for hidden Markov model-based speech synthesis is presented. An analysis-by-synthesis scheme is adopted for the MVF estimation which leads to the minimum spectral distortion of synthesized speech. Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly improves synthetic speech quality.

  • In this paper, SA (shape adaptive)-DCT is implemented using a datapath with 4 MACs (multiplication & accumulator). DCT is a well-known bottleneck of real-time video compression using MPEG-like schemes. High-speed pipelined MACs presented here implement real-time DCT. A datapath in this paper executes DCT/IDCT algorithms for QCIF 15fps(frame per second), maximum rate of VLBV(very low bitrte video) in MPEG-4. A 32bit accumulator in a MAC prevents distortion caused by fixed-point process. It can be applied to various operations such as ME (motion estimation) and MC(motion compensation) with a absolutor and a halfer.

고조파 주입에 의한 PWM 인버터의 출력전압 증대 (Output Voltage Increment of a PWM Inverter by The Harmonic Injection Method)

  • A method to increase the output voltage of the PWM inverter within linear range is considered. A new modulation wave is used, which is made by injecting the third harmonic wave into the sinusoidal wave. The optimum region for improving the output voltage keeping the linear control characteristic is obtained by digital simulation. Furthermore, the distortion factor in the optimum region is less than that calculated when the maximum output voltage can be obtained in the sinusoidal PWM inverter.

Signal Processing for Perpendicular Recording Systems

  • Longitudinal recording has been the cornerstone of all two generations of magnetic recording systems, FDD and HDD. In recent, perpendicular recording has received much attention as promising technology for future high-density recording system Research into signal processing techniques is paramount for the issued storage system and is indispensable like longitudinal recording systems. This paper focuses on the performance evaluation of the various detectors under perpendicular recording system. Parameters for improving the their performance are examined for some detectors. Detectors considered in this work are the partial response maximum likelihood (PRML), noise-predictive maximum likelihood (NPML), fixed delay tree search with decision feedback (FDTS/DF), dual decision feedback equalizer (DDFE) and multilevel decision feedback equalizer (MDFE). Their performances are analyzed in terms of mean squared error (MSE) and noise power spectra, and similarity between recording channel and partial response (PR) channel.

  • The visual evoked potentials(VEPs) is used to assist in the diagnosis of specific disorders associated with involvement of the sensory visual pathways. The P100 latency is an important parameter which is diagnosis of optic nerve disorders. There are characteristics of latency delay, wave distortion, amplitude deduction in abnormal subjects. It is difficult to diagnose in the case of producing peak at the P100 latency. In this paper, difference of pattern between normal VEPs and abnormal VEPs using the Choi-Williams distribution method is studied. We observed the relationship about time and spectrum. The result shown that normal VEPs had maximum spectral value at 20Hz~26.7Hz and abnormal VEPs had maximum spectral value at 16.7Hz~20Hz. Also normal VEPs spectrum is higher than abnormal VEPs spectrum.

속도맥동 및 위치오차를 최소로 하는 전류원 TPWM 인버터의 변조도 결정 (Decision of Modulation Index of Current-Source TPWM Inverter for Minimization of Speed Ripple and Position Error)

  • In this paper, we determined the modulation index for minimization of speed ripple and position error using maximum speed ripple (SRF) and maximum position error(PEF) in current source TPWM inverter. Through computer simulation, we compared with total current harmonic distortion, SRF and PEF for square wave modulation method and TPWM method. As a result, it turns out that square wave modulation method is superior to TPWM method of 3 pulses per half cycle in speed ripple and position error contents. And TPWM is better than square wave method when pulse number is more than 5. Also, in these pulse numbers, moduladtion index of minimum speed ripple and munimum position error is 0.91.
