FPGA기반 뉴럴네트워크 가속기에서 2차 타일링 기반 행렬 곱셈 최적화 (Optimizing 2-stage Tiling-based Matrix Multiplication in FPGA-based Neural Network Accelerator)

  • The acceleration of neural networks has become an important topic in the field of computer vision. An accelerator is absolutely necessary for accelerating the lightweight model. Most accelerator-supported operators focused on direct convolution operations. If the accelerator does not provide GEMM operation, it is mostly replaced by CPU operation. In this paper, we proposed an optimization technique for 2-stage tiling-based GEMM routines on VTA. We improved performance of the matrix multiplication routine by maximizing the reusability of the input matrix and optimizing the operation pipelining. In addition, we applied the proposed technique to the DarkNet framework to check the performance improvement of the matrix multiplication routine. The proposed GEMM method showed a performance improvement of more than 2.4 times compared to the non-optimized GEMM method. The inference performance of our DarkNet framework has also improved by at least 2.3 times.

황산염침식을 받은 실리카 퓸 혼합 시멘트 경화체의 성능 평가 (Evaluation on the Performance of Silica Fume Blended Cement Matrix Exposed to External Sulfate Attack)

  • 본 연구는 실리카 퓸을 사용한 시멘트 경화체의 황산염침식 저항성을 평가하기 위하여 수행되었다. 실리카 퓸을 시멘트 중량에 대하여 0, 5, 10 및 15%의 4단계로 대체한 모르타르 및 0 및 10%의 2단계로 대체한 페이스트를 제조하여 침지실험을 실시하였다. 황산나트륨용액에 510일 동안 모르타르 및 페이스트를 침지한 후 재령별 외관조사, 팽창, 압축강도 감소율 및 공극특성을 조사한 결과, 실리카 퓸 대체율에 관계없이 실리카 퓸을 대체한 시멘트 경화체는 황산염침식에 대하여 저항성이 매우 우수하였으나, 보통포틀랜드시멘트 모르타르 및 페이스트는 황산염침식에 의한 극심한 성능저하 현상이 관찰되었다.

On the thermo-mechanical vibration of an embedded short-fiber-reinforced nanobeam

  • This work investigates the thermo-mechanical vibration frequencies of an embedded composite nano-beam restrained with elastic springs at both ends. Composite nanobeam consists of a matrix and short fibers as reinforcement elements placed inside the matrix. An approach based on Fourier sine series and Stokes' transform is adopted to present a general solution that can examine the elastic boundary conditions of the short-fiber-reinforced nanobeam considered with the Halpin-Tsai model. In addition to the elastic medium effect considered by the Winkler model, the size effect is also considered on the basis of nonlocal strain gradient theory. After creating an eigenvalue problem that includes all the mentioned parameters, this problem is solved to examine the effects of fiber and matrix properties, size parameters, Winkler stiffness and temperature change. The numerical results obtained at the end of the study show that increasing the rigidity of the Winkler foundation, the ratio of fiber length to diameter and the ratio of fiber Young's modulus to matrix Young's modulus increase the frequencies. However, thermal loads acting in the positive direction and an increase in the ratio of fiber mass density to matrix mass density lead to a decrease in frequencies. In this study, it is clear from the eigenvalue solution calculating the frequencies of thermally loaded embbeded short-fiber-reinforced nanobeams that changing the stiffness of the deformable springs provides frequency control while keeping the other properties of the nanobeam constant.

두툽상어 matrix metalloproteinase 유전자 cDNA의 클로닝 (Cloning of a matrix metalloproteinase cDNA from Scylliorhinus torazame)

  • Matrix metalloproteinases(MMP)는 배발생 및 재조직화 등의 정상적인 생체형성과 관절염, 암전이, 치근막염, 골조송증 등의 질병과정에서 collagen이나 proteoglycan과 같은 세포외기질의 구성성분을 분해하는 아연(zinc)효소군이다. 지금까지 다양한 종에서 mmp의 유전자가 클로닝되고 그 기능이 연구되어 왔지만 아직 어류에서는 연구결과가 보고된 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 부산연안에 많은 연골어유 투툽상어(Scylliorhinus toraxzame)로부터 RT-PCR(reverse transcriptase dependent polymerase chain reaction)의방법으로 mmp cDNA의 일부를 클로닝하였다. 이것은 염기서열에서 인간, 쥐 및 닭의 membrane type matrix matalloproteinase-3(mt3-mmps)의 염기서열과 74% 동일성을 보이며, 아미노산서열에서는 90%이상의 동일성을 갖고 있다. 또한 MMP에 나타나는 cysteine switch domain, zinc binding domain(HExGH motif), propeptide cleavage site, and RRKR motif등을 가지고 있다. 이러한 결과로부터 본 연구에서 클로닝된 RT-PCR단편은 두툽상어의 mt3-mmp 또는 이와 유사한 유전자의 cDNA이라 믿어진다.

유드라짓과 알긴산 나트륨 매트릭스를 이용한 4-Aminopyridine의 서방성 제제설계 (Formulation Design of Sustained-Release Matrix Tablets Containing 4-Aminopyridine)

  • 4-Aminopyridine (AP) is a potassium channel blocker used in the treatment of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer disease. AP‘s window of therapeutic effect appears to correlate with its plasma halflife (3.5 hours). It demonstrates pH-dependent solubility because of a weakly basic drug. In addition, the resulting release from conventional matrix tablets decreases with increasing pH-milieu of the gastrointestinal tract. The aim of this study is to design sustained release matrix tablet containing AP, overcoming this problem. $Eudragit^{\circledR}$ L 100 (EuL) and sodium alginate were used in an effort to achieve pH independent drug release. The effect of sodium alginate and EuL on drug release from matrix tablet was investigated. The drug release behavior from the different tablets was analyzed by $t_{20%},\;t_{40%},\;t_{60%}$, The exponential diffusion coefficient n, kinetic constant K were calculated according to the Korsmeyer-Peppas equation. The drug release from matrix tablets prepared with sodium alginate was decreased with increasing the content of sodium alginate in pH 7.4 while there is no significant difference in pH 1.2. The exponent n values were determined to be approximately 0.5 and 0.8 respectively, in both pH 1.2 and 7.4. These values indicate diffusion-based anomalous mechanism and erosion-based anomalous mechanism, respectively. The drug release from sodium alginate matrix tablets prepared with solid dispersion of EuL containing drug showed a slow drug release in an acidic medium and a more fast drug release in phosphate medium, compared with sodium alginate matrix tablets prepared with physical mixture. These results may be attributed to the gel forming ability of sodium alginate and pH dependent solubility of EuL. Therefore, sustained-release AP matrix tablets using sodium alginate and EuL were successfully prepared.

  • Recently, the construction structure repeats the brilliant development including the shper high rising, high functionalization, environmental friendliness, conversion to ubiquitous, and etc. upon with the construction industry development and it is continually soothed. Meanwhile, as to the construction structure of the modern society, the research for corresponding to the box-frame construction way where the response to the diversity of the life of the occupant is difficult is needed. Thus, the lightweight of the structure is the important factor in order to secure the functionality. Therefore, this research tries to study the water absorption ratio and flexural strenght of the magnesium oxide light weight matrix according to the powdery modified sulfur addition ratio.

Seed 첨가에 의한 Sr-Ferrite의 미세구조 제어 (Microstructure Control of Sr-Ferrite by Seed Addition)

  • In Sr-ferrite system, it has been attempted to inhibit the abnormal grian growth using Sr-ferrite powders synthesized by molten salt method as the matrix and the seeds, respectively. At each sintering temperature, the addition of seed more than 15% suppressed the abnormal grain growth, and the uniform microstructure resulted. Particularly, at 12$25^{\circ}C$, it was observed that the maximum number of the abnormal grain growth nuclei was achieved since the abnormal grain growth was suppressed even by the addition of 10% seed.

  • DDR4와 같은 고속동작을 위한 메모리 제품에서, 데이타의 신뢰도 증가를 위해 CRC 기능이 추가되었다. 기존의 CRC 방식은 많은 부가회로 면적과 지연시간이 요구되기 때문에 고속동작의 메모리 제품에서 CRC 계산을 위한 내부 타이밍 마진의 부족현상이 증가한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 matrix형 CRC 방법을 제시하고 CRC 계산을 빠르게 할 수 있는 XOR/XNOR 게이트를 제시하였다. matrix형 CRC는 모든 홀수 비트오류를 검출 가능하며, 4의 배수비트 오류를 제외한 짝수비트오류도 검출가능하다. 또한 단일오류(single error)에 대해서는 오류 정정이 가능하여 메모리 제품과 시스템간의 CRC 오류로 인한 데이터 재 전송의 부하를 감소시킬 수 있다. 또한 기존 방식대비 부가회로면적을 57% 개선할 수 있다. 제안한 XOR/XNOR는 6개의 TR.(트랜지스터)로 구성하였으며, 기존의 CRC 대비 35%의 면적 오버헤드를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 50%의 게이트 지연을 감소시킬 수 있다.

SNS대상의 지능형 자연어 수집, 처리 시스템 구현을 통한 한국형 감성사전 구축에 관한 연구 (Research on Designing Korean Emotional Dictionary using Intelligent Natural Language Crawling System in SNS)

  • Purpose The research was studied the hierarchical Hangul emotion index by organizing all the emotions which SNS users are thinking. As a preliminary study by the researcher, the English-based Plutchick (1980)'s emotional standard was reinterpreted in Korean, and a hashtag with implicit meaning on SNS was studied. To build a multidimensional emotion dictionary and classify three-dimensional emotions, an emotion seed was selected for the composition of seven emotion sets, and an emotion word dictionary was constructed by collecting SNS hashtags derived from each emotion seed. We also want to explore the priority of each Hangul emotion index. Design/methodology/approach In the process of transforming the matrix through the vector process of words constituting the sentence, weights were extracted using TF-IDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency), and the dimension reduction technique of the matrix in the emotion set was NMF (Nonnegative Matrix Factorization) algorithm. The emotional dimension was solved by using the characteristic value of the emotional word. The cosine distance algorithm was used to measure the distance between vectors by measuring the similarity of emotion words in the emotion set. Findings Customer needs analysis is a force to read changes in emotions, and Korean emotion word research is the customer's needs. In addition, the ranking of the emotion words within the emotion set will be a special criterion for reading the depth of the emotion. The sentiment index study of this research believes that by providing companies with effective information for emotional marketing, new business opportunities will be expanded and valued. In addition, if the emotion dictionary is eventually connected to the emotional DNA of the product, it will be possible to define the "emotional DNA", which is a set of emotions that the product should have.

Toll-like receptor 9-매개에 의한 matrix metalloproteinase-9 발현에서 NF${\kappa}B$의 역할 (ROLE OF NF${\kappa}B$ IN TOLL-LIKE RECEPTOR 9-MEDIATED MATRIX METALLOPROTEINASE-9 EXPRESSION)

  • Background: CpG DNA plays an important role in immune cell function. This study examined whether the temporal control of toll-like receptor (TLR)9 by CpG DNA can regulate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9). Methods and materials: Macrophages were cultured in the presence of 10% FBS. For the various MMP genes analysis, RT-PCR and real-time PCR were performed. In addition, zymography assay performed for the MMP activity. The phosphorylation assay did for the ERK1/2 and NF${\kappa}B$ activation, and luciferase promoter assay was for the NF${\kappa}B$ activity. Results: CpG DNA induced the mRNA expression of MMP-2, MMP-9, and MMP-13, but not of MMP-7, MMP-8, and MMP-12, in a time-dependent manner. Especially, the mRNA expression of MMP-9 was strongly induced by CpG DNA using real-time RT-PCR. The TLR9 inhibitor, chloroquine, suppressed CpG DNA-induced MMP-9 expression and its activity. Moreover, CpG DNA induced the phosphorylation of ERK and the inhibition of ERK by U0126 suppressed CpG DNA-induced MMP-9 expression and its activity. CpG DNA stimulated $I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$ degradation and luciferase activity. In addition, pretreatment of SN-50, the inhibitor of NF${\kappa}B$, strongly blocked the CpG DNA-induced MMP-9 expression and activity. Conclusion: These observations suggest that CpG DNA may play important roles in the activation of macrophages by regulating the production of MMP-9 via the sequential TLR9-ERK-NF${\kappa}B$ signaling pathway.
