The most widely known form of multifunctional aircraft structure is smart structures for structural health monitoring (SHM). The aim is to provide automated systems whose purposes are to identify and to characterize possible damage within structures by using a network of actuators and sensors. Unfortunately, environmental and operational variability render many of the proposed damage detection methods difficult to successfully be applied. In this paper, an original robust damage detection approach using output-only vibration data is proposed. It is based on independent component analysis and matrix perturbation analysis, where an analytical threshold is proposed to get rid of statistical assumptions usually performed in damage detection approach. The effectiveness of the proposed SHM method is demonstrated numerically using finite element simulations and experimentally through a conformal load-bearing antenna structure and composite plates instrumented with piezoelectric ceramic materials.

Polymer/silicate nanocomposites were prepared via two-step manufacturing process: a master batch preparation and then mixing with matrix polymer. A hybrid of PMMA and Na-MMT with exfoliated structure was first prepared by emulsion polymerization of MMA in the presence of Na-MMT. For the case that SAN24, miscible with PMMA, is used as matrix, we could prepare a nanocomposite with exfoliated structure. However, SAN31 nanocomposite shows the aggregation and/or reordering of the silicate layers due to the immiscibility between SAN31 and PMMA.

A voltage driving AMOLED(Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) is useful for large-sized, high resolution OLED display. The conventional 2-TFTs, 1-CAP AMOLED circuit suffer from the threshold voltage variation of TFT. In this paper, a new AMOLED structure is proposed. It is composed of 5-TFTs and 2-capacitors. It is described that the operating principle and the characteristics of the proposed structure and is verified the performance by HSPICE simulation. The result of simulation shows that the effect of the threshold voltage variation in this circuit, is able to neglect.
A new intelligent adaptive control scheme was proposed that combines observer disturbance-based adaptive control and fuzzy adaptive control for a composite structure with a mass-adjustable damper. The most important advantage is that the control structures do not need to know the uncertainty limits and the interference effect is eliminated. Three adjustable parameters in LMI are used to control the gain of the 2D fuzzy control. Binary performance indices with weighted matrices are constructed to separately evaluate validation and training performance using the revalidation learning function. Determining the appropriate weight matrix balances control and learning efficiency and prevents large gains in control. It is proved that the stability of the control system can be ensured by a linear matrix theory of equality based on Lyapunov's theory. Simulation results show that the multilevel simulation approach combines accuracy with high computational efficiency. The M-TMD system, by slightly reducing critical joint load amplitudes, can significantly improve the overall response of an uncontrolled structure.
This study is to analyse the transformation process of spatial structure of traditional small city structure in Jeollabuk-Do in the process of modern urbanization between 19th century and the year 2000. The small cities, IM-PI, YONG-AN, YEO-SAN, OK-GOO, GO-SAN, MU-JANG, GUM-MA, GO-BU, which have been local administrative center in CHO-SUN dynasty, have role of local administrative center of subdivision of country-myon, except OK-GOO. The method of this study is to investigate the transformation process of spatial structural elements of with the actual field surveys, the analysis of Gunhyun map made in 1872, land registration maps in 1910s and 2000, and various topological maps. The elements of analysis are the topological site and geographical situation conditions, the urbanized areas, the street systems, the function of streets, the focal points of urban land use, the land use systems, and the location of major facilities such as administration facilities, markets, bus terminals. The analytical point of view and the results are as follows. There is strong relationship between the transformation of internal matrix route system and the growth pattern of urbanized areas, Especially on the contrary to the matrix route with East-West direction which has the role of checking the growth of urbanized area, the South-North direction route acts as the leading line of the growth. The focal points structure of urban land use shows transformation process from the point of central space of administrative district in front of Nae-A, to the access point to administrative district or to the access point to housing and neighborhood commercial area. From the point of functional area structure and major facilities location, line-type commercial area is developed along the line of central axis route and access route to administrative district. Especially direction of the growth of commercial area is strongly connected with the interrelationship between the study area and its neighboring cities. Pattern of commercial district development is varied with the direction of matrix route. That is, commercial district, which shows one side development pattern along the East-West direction route, is developed on both sides of street along the South-North direction route.
Hydrocortisone (HC) sustained-release suppositories were prepared by using a solid matrix of methacrylic acid-methacrylic acid methyl ester copolymer $(Eudragit\;L_{100}^{R}:\;EL)$ as a poorly water soluble carrier and polyethylene glycole 1540 (PEG) as an water soluble carrier. HC release rate was controlled by complexation with ${\beta}-cyclodextrin$$({\beta}-CyD)$ which was confirmed by X-ray diffractometry, IR-spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Release rate of HC from the EL-PEG matrix suppositories decreased with increase of EL contents. The release rale from $HC-{\beta}-CyD$ complex decreased in the following order: $HC-{\beta}-CyD/PEG$ > HC/PEG > $HC-{\beta}-CyD/EL_{10%}-PEG$ > $HC/EL_{10%}-PEG$ > $HC-{\beta}-CyD/EL_{15%}-PEG$ > $HC/EL_{15%}-PEG$ > $HC-{\beta}-CyD/EL_{20%}-PEG$ > $HC/EL_{20%}-PEG$. The crystallinity of HC in polymer matrix was identified using X-ray diffractometer and the surface of matrix suppositories after release test was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The sustained release of HC from these matrix suppositories was attributed to the network structure of EL.
We in this note consider a new concept, so called $\pi$-McCoy, which unifies McCoy rings and IFP rings. The classes of McCoy rings and IFP rings do not contain full matrix rings and upper (lower) triangular matrix rings, but the class of $\pi$-McCoy rings contain upper (lower) triangular matrix rings and many kinds of full matrix rings. We first study the basic structure of $\pi$-McCoy rings, observing the relations among $\pi$-McCoy rings, Abelian rings, 2-primal rings, directly finite rings, and ($\pi-$)regular rings. It is proved that the n by n full matrix rings ($n\geq2$) over reduced rings are not $\pi$-McCoy, finding $\pi$-McCoy matrix rings over non-reduced rings. It is shown that the $\pi$-McCoyness is preserved by polynomial rings (when they are of bounded index of nilpotency) and classical quotient rings. Several kinds of extensions of $\pi$-McCoy rings are also examined.
The most important point in the QoS management system to ensure the quality of the IoT system design goal is quality measurement system and the quality evaluation system. This research study is a matrix model for the IoT based on key quality measures by diagnosis system structure and function. Developing for the quality metrics measured Internet of Things environment will provide the foundation for the Internet of Things quality measurement/analysis. IoT matrix system for quality evaluation is a method to describe the functional requirements and the quality requirements in a single unified table for quality estimation performed. Comprehensive functional requirements and quality requirements by assessing the association can improve the reliability and usability evaluation. When applying the proposed method IoT quality can be improved while reducing the QoS signaling, the processing, the basis for more efficient quality assurances as a whole.

This study proposes a simple method that uses a simple mass-spring model to predict the natural frequency of a soil-pile-structure system in sandy soil. This model includes a pair of matrixes, i.e., a mass matrix and a stiffness matrix. The mass matrix is comprised of the masses of the pile and superstructure, and the stiffness matrix is comprised of the stiffness of the pile and the spring coefficients between the pile and soil. The key issue in the evaluation of the natural frequency of a soil-pile system is the determination of the spring coefficient between the pile and soil. To determine the reasonable spring coefficient, subgrade reaction modulus, nonlinear p-y curves and elastic modulus of the soil were utilized. The location of the spring was also varied with consideration of the infinite depth of the pile. The natural frequencies calculated by using the mass-spring model were compared with those obtained from 1-g shaking table model pile tests. The comparison showed that the calculated natural frequencies match well with the results of the 1-g shaking table tests within the range of computational error when the three springs, whose coefficients were calculated using Reese's(1974) subgrade reaction modulus and Yang's (2009) dynamic p-y backbone curves, were located above the infinite depth of the pile.
