Speed Controller for an Induction Motor Using a 2DOF Controller (2자유도 제어기를 이용한 유도전동기 속도제어)

  • 2DOF is applied to induction moor in order to supply these weak points of PI speed control method in this paper. and proposed method utilize the combination of the voltage model based on stator equivalent model and the current model based on rotor equivalent model, which enables stable estimation of rotor flux. And it also emphasizes the improvement of the control characteristics in low speed region where established schemes have many problems. To prove the propriety of this paper, the various simulations carried out adequacy and stability using Matlab, and at the same time real system is made, so it is proved. As the results of embodying the system, the robust system is realized.

  • This paper deals with a pitch control for reducing load of the wind turbine system. To make a model of the wind turbine system, the Momentum Theory and Blade Element Theory are used. Considering wind shear, wind model was also built. Due to a difference of the wind speed between upper parts and lower parts of the sweep area, overturning moment of the wind turbine is generated. So, in this paper through analyzing of the system model of the wind turbine, a control algorithm which was able to achieve both maintaining power and reducing overturning moment was proposed. Using matlab simulink, controller performance was verified.

Neural network based model for seismic assessment of existing RC buildings

  • The objective of this study is to reveal the sufficiency of neural networks (NN) as a securer, quicker, more robust and reliable method to be used in seismic assessment of existing reinforced concrete buildings. The NN based approach is applied as an alternative method to determine the seismic performance of each existing RC buildings, in terms of damage level. In the application of the NN, a multilayer perceptron (MLP) with a back-propagation (BP) algorithm is employed using a scaled conjugate gradient. NN based model wasd eveloped, trained and tested through a based MATLAB program. The database of this model was developed by using a statistical procedure called P25 method. The NN based model was also proved by verification set constituting of real existing RC buildings exposed to 2003 Bingol earthquake. It is demonstrated that the NN based approach is highly successful and can be used as an alternative method to determine the seismic performance of each existing RC buildings.

  • 게임이론에서의 기본적인 Cournot Model과 같은 형태는 실제 전력 시장에서의 복잡성을 모두 반영하지는 못한다. Pool 기반 전력시장에서의 송전과 가격 결정은 명백하게 전송 제약뿐만 아니라 ancillary service의 상호간의 최적화도 고려되어야하기 때문이다. 이 논문은 다중재화의 상호간 최적화를 다루는 다중시장의 Cournot Model을 확장시킨 모델의 해석과 사례연구를 논한다. 사례연구로는 제주도 전력 시장의 형태를 적용시켜 2개 발전사업자가 2개의 상품을 가지고 경쟁할 때의 최적화를 MATLAB을 이용하여 구현해본다.

  • PV model is presented based on the shockley diode equation. The simple model has a photo-current source, an single diode junction and a series resistance and includes temperature dependences. An accurate PV module electrical model is presented, matching with boost converter MPPT strategy and demosnstarted in Matlab for a typical general purpose solar cell. Given solar insolation and temperature, the model returns current vector and MPP.

  • By using the signal error test, model structure of total antilock braking system consisting of electromagnetic system and hydraulic system is determined as 9th order system. For determining parameters of the ABS, using time discrete model of parametric method, parameters in time discrete model are searched by least square method. By bilinear transform, we have found the model of ABS in s domain. Afterward, experimental output data is compared with simulated output data by MATLAB haying identified parameter. As the result, experimental data is agreed with simulated data very well.

  • This paper presents a simulation model to analyze effects of electrical faults for the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drive system. The major fault modes of system are investigated and an intuitive system model is developed using MATLAB/Simulink. The developed model provides useful environments to inject and remove the various faults. Simulation results show the dynamic performances of system during the transient state from normal to fault, and those will be a great help to make a system more reliable.

  • This paper presents a discrete analysis approach to investigate the performance of dual mass flywheel (DMF). In the discrete analysis, arcspring installed between the flywheels is modeled as N- discrete elements. Each element consists of mass, spring and nonlinear friction element. LuGre friction model is used to describe nonlinear friction characteristic. Based on the dynamic models of the DMF, clutch, engine, manual transmission and vehicle, a DMF performance simulator is developed using MATLAB Simulink. Simulation results of the engine speed, driveshaft torque and vehicle velocity are compared with test results. It is found that the discrete DMF model describes the vehicle behavior closely, especially during the clutch actuation period.

  • In this study an ANFIS-based trajectory tracking motion control algorithm is proposed for autonomous garage and parallel parking of a model car. The ANFIS controller is trained off-line using data set which obtained by Mandani fuzzy inference system and thereby the processing time decreases almost in half. The controller with a steering delay compensator is tuned through simulations performed under MATLAB/Simulink environment. Experiments are carried out with the model car for garage and parallel parking. The experimental results show that the trajectory tracking performance is satisfactory under various initial and road conditions
