The Analysis and Control of Compressed Gas Discharging System (압축가스 방출 유압시스템 해석 및 제어)

  • The hydraulic system for discharging compressed gas is composed of compressor tank, proportional flow control servo valve, expulsion spool valve and discharging tube. Purpose of this study is to control of expulsion spool valve. First, we analyzed the hydraulic system. The flow control servo valve is modeled as a 2nd order transfer function and friction force of the expulsion spool valve is modeled as nonlinear model with stribeck effect. However, it is difficult to include the flow reaction force in modeling. So, we exchanged from the simplified flow reaction force of the compressed gas affection into the flow analysis code written in FORTRAN code. Our simulation of the oil pressure system for discharging gas used MATLAB/Simulink. So, we realized 'Level -2 S-Function Fortran' to cooperate for MATLAB/Simulink and FORTRAN code. PD controller is selected to control in this system. Simulation results show that with given conditions the controllers give a good tracking performance.

  • In this paper a new space vector RPPWM(Random Position PWM) is proposed. In the propsed RPPWM each of three phase pulses is located randomly in each switching interval. Based on the Space vector modulation technique the duty ratio of the pulses is calculated Along with the randomization of the PWM pulses. we can obtain the effects of spread spectra of votlage, current as in the case of randomly changed switching frequency, To verify the validity of the proposed RPPWM simulation study was tried using Matlab/Simulink The main model described in Simulink block diagrams includes the space vector modulation block pulse position randomization block inverter block 3 phase induction motor block and so on By the simulation study, the harmonics of the output voltage and the current of inverter are predicted in different PWM methods- SVPWM, LLPWM proposed RPPWM.

  • A growing dynamic electrical demand has created an increasing interest in utilizing nonconventional energy sources like Photovoltaic (PV), wind power, etc. In this context, this paper focuses on the design and development of a composite power controller (CPC) in the decoupled double synchronous reference frame (DDSRF) combining the advantages of direct power control (DPC) and voltage oriented control (VOC) for a PV sourced grid connected inverter. In addition, a controller with the inherent active filter configuration is tested with nonlinear and unbalanced loads at the point of common coupling in both grid connected and autonomous modes of operation. Furthermore, the loss and reactive power compensation due to a non-fundamental component is also incorporated in the design, and the developed DDSRF model subsequently allows independent active and reactive power control. The proposed developed model of the controller is also implemented using MATLAB-Simulink-ISE and a Xilinx system generator which evaluate both the simulated and experimental setups. The simulation and experimental results confirm the validity of the developed model. Further, simulation results for the DPC are also presented and compared with the proposed CPC to further bring out the salient features of the proposed work.

  • This system is composed of fine and coarse apparatus, measurement system and control system. Piezoelectric actuator is designed for fine positioning. We make a study of precision apparatus that is used in the various industrial machine. The study was carried out to develope a precision positioning apparatus, consisting of servo motor and piezoelectric actuator. Coarse positioning using lead screw is drived by servo motor. Control system output a signal from laser interferometer to amplifier of servo motor and piezoelectric actuator after digital signal processing(DSP). Resolution of this apparatus measure with laser interferometer. In this study, design method and control system with ultra precision position apparatus are researched. As the first step, we have estimated for control performance and system stability before an actual apparatus is manufactured by MATLAB with SIMULINK including various functions those are composed of pre-design and system modeling.

  • Application of wind turbine generator system (WTGS) needs researches for performance prediction, pitch control, and optimal operation method. Recently a new type WTGS is developed and under testing. The notable feature of this WTGS is that it consists of two rotor systems positioned horizontally at upwind and downwind locations, and a generator installed vertically inside the tower. In this paper, a nonlinear simulation software developed for the performance prediction of the Dual Rotor WTGS and testing of various control algorithm is introduced. This software is hybrid in the sense that FORTRAN is extensively used for the purpose of computation and Matlab/Simulink provides a user friendly GUI-like environment.

The Modeling of ISL(Intergrated Schottky Logic) Characteristics by Computer Simulations (컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의한 ISL 특성의 모델링)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of schottky junction to develop the voltage swing of ISL, and simulated the characteristics with the programs at this junctions. Simulation programs for analytic characteristics are the SUPREM V, SPICE, Medichi, Matlab. The schottky junction is rectifier contact between platinum silicide and silicon, the characteristics with programs has simulated the same conditions. The analytic parameters were the turn-on voltage, saturation current, ideality factor in forward bias, and has shown the results of breakdown voltage between actual characteristics and simulation characteristics in reverse bias. As a result, th forward turn-on voltage, reverse breakdown voltage, barrier height were decreased but saturation current and ideality factor were increased by substrates increased concentration variations.

  • In this paper, for a software-based Global Positioning System receiver (SGR), the principle capturing Global Positioning System (GPS) signal is researched extensively in order to analyze the processing of the GPS raw data signal at the lowest level, and the process of capturing the GPS signal was simulated by Matlab. The simulation results show the accuracy and the feasibility of this method, which is comparable to study under a true environment. We know that the improvement of the receiving facilities is of very vital significance to the performance of this system, and the fine frequency can be found through comparing phases within a few tens of Hertz.

  • Recently micromachining using DPSSL(Diode Pumped Solid State Laser) with 3rd harmonic wavelength is actively studied in laser machining area. Micromachining using DPSSL have outstanding advantages as UV source comparing with excimer laser in various aspect such a maintenance cost, maskless machining, high repetition rate and so on. In this study micro-drilling of PCB type substrate which consists of Cu-PI-Cu layer was performed using DPSS Nd:YAG laser(355nm, wavelength) in vector scanning method. Experimental and numerical method(Matlab simulation, FEM) are used to optimize process parameter and control machining depth. The man mechanism of this process is laser ablation. It is known that there is large gap between energy threshold of copper and that of PI. Matlab simulation considering energy threshold of material is performed to effect of duplication of pulse and FEM thermal analysis is used to predict the ablation depth of copper. This study could be widely used in various laser micromachining including via hole microdrilling of PCB, and micromachining of semiconductor components, medical parts and printer nozzle and so on.

  • The latest vehicle yields a superior safety and reduction of driving burden by monitoring the driving state of vehicle and its environment with various sensors. To detect other vehicles and objects of the rear left and right-side blind spot area of driver, provide the information about a existence of objects inside the blind spot, and give a signal to avoid collision, this study proposes the intelligent outside rear-view mirror system. This study proposes SILS system with PreScan and Matlab/Simulink to verify practical applicability of developed BSDS. PreScan yields realistic driving environments and road conditions and vehicle model dynamics and collision warning is controlled by Matlab/Simulink.
