본 연구는 상황학습 기반 수업이 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 수학학습에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하는데 주요한 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 실험집단에는 상황학습 기반 수업을 적용하였으며 비교집단에는 교과서 중심의 일반적 수학 수업을 적용하였다. 본 연구는 두 집단의 수학 학업성취도와 수학적 태도에 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 알아보았으며, 또한 수업 상황에 대한 질적 분석을 통해서 수업에서의 교사의 역할과 학생들의 수업 참여 방식을 살펴봄으로써 상황학습 기반 수업의 교육적 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 상황학습 기반 수업은 학생들의 수학 학업성취도와 수학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 상황학습 기반 수업에서 교사는 학습 촉진자의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 상황학습 기반 수업에서 학생들은 수업 상황 중에 서로에게 도움의 대상, 배움의 대상이 됨으로써 문제해결을 위한 협력적 태도와 적극적인 노력을 보였다.

Let ${\wp}_1$, ${\wp}_2$ be the radical classes of rings. Y. Lee and R. E. Propes have defined their sum by ${\wp}_1+{\wp}_2=\{R{\in}{\omega}:{\wp}_1(R)+{\wp}_2(R)=R\}$. They have shown that ${\wp}_1+{\wp}_2$ is not a radical class in general. In this paper, a few results of Lee and Propes are generalized and also new conditions are investigated under which this sum becomes a radical class.

In this paper we introduce the notion of a (pre-)Coxeter algebra and show that a Coxeter algebra is equivalent to an abelian group all of whose elements have order 2, i.e., a Boolean group. Moreover, we prove that the class of Coxeter algebras and the class of B-algebras of odd order are Smarandache disjoint. Finally, we show that the class of pre-Coxeter algebras and the class of BCK-algebras are Smarandache disjoint.

In this paper we show that Helton class preserves the nilpotent and finite ascent properties. Also, we show some relations on non-transitivity and decomposability between operators and their Helton classes. Finally, we give some applications in the Helton class of weighted shifts.

The object of the present paper is to derive some properties of functions in the class M(p, λ, μ).

Recently a new type of educational method through the internet, distance education, has been developed with technology development. To find out any complement between distance education and traditional in-class education, a series of study with junior high school mathematics were conducted. Both distance education and in-class education have merits and shortcomings. Some advantages with distance education shown from the study can be used for complement to in-class education depending on the contents and subjects. Distance education in mathematics education can be a good turning point for future education.

The notion of hypercyclicity was localized by J-sets and in this paper, we will investigate for an equivalent condition through the use of open sets. Also, we will give a J-class criterion, that gives conditions under which an operator belongs to the J-class of operators.

In this paper, we provide some fundamental properties and basic theoretical results of K-class-based dedicated storage policy in a unit load system assuming the constant-space assumption that the number of storage locations for a class is not the maximum aggregate inventory position for a class but the sum of space requirement for products assigned to the class. The main theorem is that there exists a (K+1) -class-based storage layout whose expexted single command (SC) travel time is not greater than that of a K-class-based storage layout, i.e, $E(SC^*_{K+1}){\leq}E(SC^*_K)\;for\;K=1,{\cdots}$, (n-1).
