  • In this paper, the powertrain efficiency is analyzed for the input split type hybrid electric vehicle. For considering the powertrain loss, the power loss models of planetary gear and motor are applied. And, the mathematic equations of powertrain speed and torque are found by using the lever analogy. With the above models and equations, the powertrain efficiency is analyzed for the 0 to 180 km/h vehicle velocity range. From the analysis results, it is found that the transmission efficiency with the power loss of planetary gear is smaller maximum 2.1% than the transmission efficiency without the power loss of planetary gear.

  • Real-time supply chain environments based on RFID will be an important topic in future society; Nevertheless, adopting RFID in real industry SCM is still in its infancy. The aim of this paper is to develop the physical framework of a fully adopting RFID system from manufacturing to recycle phase and measure the effect. So, we built a simulation station with fully appling RFID and analyzed benefits with mathematic model. Then, specifying the advantages and improvement scheme for real industry limitations were suggested. This work concluded that fully appling RFID in SCM gives improvement of quality and service to both production and consumer.

  • The modal controller of single-input system cannot stabilize the defective system with positive real part of repeated eigenvalues, because some of the generalized modes are uncontrollable. In order to stabilize the uncontrollable modes with positive real part of eigenvalues, the multi-input system should be introduced. This paper presents a recursive procedure for designing the feedback controller of the multi-input system with defective repeated eigenvalues. For a nearly defective system, we first transform it into a defective one, and apply the same method to manage. The proposed methods are based on the modal coordinate equations, to avoid the tedious mathematic manipulation. As an application of the presented procedure, two numerical examples are given at end of the paper.

  • The study is aimed to assess the usefulness of the mixture design for spent resin immobilization in cement. Although a considerable amount of research has been carried out to determine the limits for the composition of an acceptable resin-cement mixture, no efficient experimental strategy exists that explores the full properties of waste form against composition relationship. In order to gain an overall view, this report introduces the method of mixture design and mixture analysis, and describes the design of experiment of the 5-component mixture with the constraint conditions. The mathematic models of 28-day compressive strength varying with the ingredients are fitted, and the main effect and interaction effect of two ingredients are identified quantitatively along with the graphical interpretation using the response trace plot and contour plots.

  • This paper describes a software algorithm for automatic diagnosis of arrhythmia using the criteria of Minnesota code manual. This algorithm represents more accurate and more objective information to medical doctor by standardizing the criteria of diagnosis of arrhythmia. Because this algorithm doesn't need complicated mathematic processing, it carries out the real-time automatic diagnosis that is very important in clinic. The Decision-Table technology suggests the proper results for the given conditions. So it expresses the complicated medical problems simply and clearly, those are not solved by the mathematical methods. The Decision-Tables have very simple structure and so it is very easy to correct or expand the system by adding or correcting some rules.

  • We study the nonrelativistic limit of the Chern-Simons-Dirac system on ${\mathbb{R}}^{1+2}$. As the light speed c goes to infinity, we first prove that there exists an uniform existence interval [0, T] for the family of solutions ${\psi}^c$ corresponding to the initial data for the Dirac spinor ${\psi}_0^c$ which is bounded in $H^s$ for ${\frac{1}{2}}$ < s < 1. Next we show that if the initial data ${\psi}_0^c$ converges to a spinor with one of upper or lower component zero in $H^s$, then the Dirac spinor field converges, modulo a phase correction, to a solution of a linear $Schr{\ddot{o}}dinger$ equation in C([0, T]; $H^{s^{\prime}}$) for s' < s.

  • In this paper, we define conditional integrals on abstract Wiener and Hilbert spaces and then obtain a formula for evaluating the integrals. We use this formula to establish the existence of conditional Feynman integrals for the classes $A^{q}$(B) and $A^{q}$(H) of functions on abstract Wiener and Hilbert spaces and then specialize this result to provide the fundamental solution to the Schrodinger equation with the forced harmonic oscillator.tor.

  • Bearingless switched reluctance motors (SRM) have combined advantages of conventional SRM and magnetic bearings. Therefore in this paper based on novel structure of Bearingless SRM, an accurate mathematic model of radial force is deduced. Meanwhile in order to realize steady suspending, a novel radial force control method- Direct Instantaneous Radial Force Control (DIRFC) is presented. The effectiveness of new model and DIRFC is proved by the simulation results.

  • Wien Automatic System Planning Package (WASP) which is used to draw out generation expansion planning applies Dynamic Programming in Korea power system panning. While this package has an advantage that computes annual capacity, it has a disadvantage that can't consider environmental constraints. With the effectuation of the Kyoto Protocol in February, 2005, it is expected that CO2 emission has a severe effect on Korean power system. Therefore, as the most important issue, the generation expansion planning considering environmental constraints is rising in power system. This paper develops a mathematic model including not only generation expansion planning but transmission planning and considering regional supply-demand and environmental constraints, especially CO2 emission, and verifies propriety through the case study.

  • In this paper we give several necessary and sufficient conditions for an operator on the Hilbert space H to obey Browder's theorem. And it is shown that if S has totally finite ascent and $T{\prec}S$ then $f(T)$ obeys Browder's theorem for every $f{\in}H({\sigma}(T))$, where $H({\sigma}(T))$ denotes the set of all analytic functions on an open neighborhood of ${\sigma}(T)$. Furthermore, it is shown that if $T{\in}B(H)$ is a compact operator or a Riesz Operator then T obeys Browder's theorem and Weyl's theorem holds if and only if Browder's holds.
