The virtual try-on technologies of the current level have limitations with material expression as well as some difficulties with commercialization. There are differences in simulation results and subjective evaluations perceived by consumers according to the types and physical characteristics of materials used in virtual try-on simulations. This study were to analyze the exterior clothing shapes and visual images from 3D virtual try-on simulations with materials whose drapability was differentiated and then test the accuracy of the expression of the drapability of the materials. The study carried out 3D virtual try-on simulations by selecting flared skirts as an item to best express differences in drapability along with five materials of different physical properties and offered some basic data for greater utilization of virtual try-on simulations by comparing and analyzing them with the exterior shapes and visual images of actual flared skirts. The analysis results of hemline shapes between actual and virtual try-on according to the types of materials showed no match among the quantitative items of exterior shapes factors. There were no significant differences in the visual images except for "soft" according to the simulation methods, which means that the items can serve as part of a scale for visual image comparison. It is necessary to reflect quantitative numbers regarding "drapability" proposed in the study simulation software and to continue to build a systematic database for virtual simulations by investigating and testing various materials.

Rubber deposited during aircraft landing is known as the main cause of reducing surface friction force on wet surfaces. Thus, rubber deposits are removed at regular intervals for sae airplane landing. The high-pressure waterblast method, widely used for the removal of rubber deposits, is regarded as the main cause for the loss of surface material because in this method, water hits the surface directly at a high pressure. In this study, a rubber removal primer is developed to reduce surface damage by lowering the pressure of waterblast relatively during the removal of rubber deposits such that the deposits are removed efficiently even with a lower water pressure. To achieve this, basic materials appropriate for the primer were selected and their performance, penetration rate, and site applicability were evaluated. Based on the evaluations, the proportion of additive required for improving the performance of the basic materials was first determined. Then, the optimum mix ratio was derived through the evaluation of the effect on pavements, and the development of the rubber removal primer was completed.

Hydrogen charging station was invested and supported around the world. In this study, the extent of damage caused by VCE in the charging station handling liquefied hydrogen was calculated, and the human and material damage was estimated through the Probit model. In addition The optimal height of vent stack for low temperature hydrogen was set. The damage range is 8.24m in small scale, 14.10m in medium scale, and 22.38m in large scale based on interest overpressure 6.9kPa. In case of death due to pulmonary hemorrhage, 50m of the small and medium scale and 100m of the large scale were injured. Structural damage was 200m in small scale, 300m in medium scale and 500m in large scale. The optimum height of the vent stack is 4.7 m in small scale, 8.8 m in medium scale and 16.9 m in large scale.
Fur garment has long been the conventional symbol for luxury, or conspicuous consumption. However, as fashion items began to diversify as part of overall fashion trend, fur items are now more about individual taste and style than just lavishness. Synthetic fur is especially emerging as a new promising fashion material, with a touch almost like natural fur at an affordable price. Along with the emergence of 'Vegan Fashion' trend, synthetic fur is establishing itself as a popular fashion textile. This study is an attempt to investigate subjective evaluation and physical properties of natural and synthetic furs, whose results will further serve as basic data in developing synthetic fur materials. Sensory and emotional evaluations are carried out on natural and artificial furs. For analysis, factors such as weight, thickness, air permeability, gloss and compressibility were surveyed to observe how they influence the physical properties. According to the subjective evaluation, natural and artificial fur samples do not differ in conspicuous ways in appearance. Experiments on physical properties, specifically warm/cool touch experiment, show that natural fur has a slightly higher warm sensation than artificial fur. Luster analysis by using a microscope revealed that there are subtle qualitative differences between natural and artificial fur. During the subjective evaluation, subjects found it hard to state distinct quantitative differences in luster. A survey as a means of assessing qualitative differences in gloss seems to be necessary to complement the evaluation. Results from this study will potentially serve as resources for diversification of fashion product designs using synthetic fur.
Cell-separating enzyme (Sumyzyme MC) was used to investigate enzymatic maceration of strawberry, sweet persimmon, kiwi, onion, garlic, and cucumber, Maceration rate, volume, brix, color, particle size distribution, and viscosity were determined, and microscopic observation made on suspensions containing single cells. Sweet persimmon and strawberry showed over 90% meceration rates, and kiwi showed 80%. Color, storage test, and sensory evaluations of single-cell suspensions and their filtrates were performed before and after sterilization. Total dietary fiber contents of raw material and single-cell suspension of garlic were 30.77 and 18.55%, respectively, Results indicate fruit and vegetable suspensions produced through enzymatic disintegration using cell-separating enzyme can be utilized as basic materials in the manufacture of single-cell foods.

The continuing demand for increasingly slimmer and brighter liquid crystal display (LCD) panels has led to an increased focus on the role of light guide panels (LGPs) or optical films that are used to obtain diffuse, uniform light from the backlight unit (BLU). The most basic process in the production of such BLU components is the micromachining of V-shaped grooves. Thus, given the current trend, micromachining of V-shaped grooves is expected to play increasingly important roles in today's manufacturing technology. LCD BLUs comprise various optical elements such as a LGP, diffuser sheet, prism sheet, and protector sheet with V-shaped grooves. High-aspect-ratio patterns are required to reduce the number of sheets and enhance light efficiency, but there is a limit to the aspect ratio achievable for a given material and cutting tool. Therefore, this study comprised a series of experimental evaluations conducted to determine the machining limit in microcutting V-shaped grooves on electroless nickel plated die materials when using single-crystal diamond tools with point angles of $20^{\circ}-80^{\circ}$. Cutting performance was evaluated at various cutting speeds and depths of cut using different machining methods and machine tools. The experimental results are that V-shaped patterns with angles of $80^{\circ}$ or up can be realized regardless of the machining conditions and equipment. Moreover, the feed rate has little effect on machinability, and it is thought that the fly-cut method is more efficient for shallow patterns.

In this study, new design method of prosthetic foot was suggested which can evaluate the performance of prosthetic foot by implementing amputee's gait simulation using the finite element analysis. The basic shape of ESPF(Energy Storing Prosthetic Foot) was designed which is suitable for the below-knee amputee considering mechanical properties and kinematic properties. And, the performance evaluations were performed using the Taguchi method with orthogonal array L25. As a result, average main effect of factors for the ESPF's performance were calculated and then optimum condition of given shape was selected. Essential particulars for the performance evaluation from the simulation result were the quantity of external work needed in stance phase, the quantity of transferred energy from the ESPF through the knee, and the vertical displacement of knee at toe-off. Reasonable optimum condition was obtained from the using performance index. From this study, it was found that it is necessary for the design of ESPF to consider the geometrical data related to the magnitude of load on elastic material.

Liquid crystal known as a rheological barrier to coalescence of oil droplets, increases emulsion stability, water-holding capacity and promotes active material penetration to skin. Some investigation for its rheological characteristics have been reported but its relations to consumer perception have been rarely published. In this study, oil/water emulsion and oil/liquid crystal/water systems were manufactured using the same composition or Behenyltrimethylammonium chloride/Cetostearyl alcohol/Lanolin oil. and rheological properties or each system were investigated with Cone and Plate rheometer. The formation of liquid crystalline phase was observed with polarized microscope and Differential Scanning Calorimeter. Continuous shear experiment, creep, yield and water holding capacity were measured for oil/water and oil/liquid crystal/water systems. The results were compared with sensory evaluations. Oil/liquid crystal/water system showed higher, viscosity at the same shear rate. higher viscoelasticity and higher yield stress than oil/water system. These properties were expected to show good spreadability and excellent richness without waxiness in hair can: products of creme type. This expectation was consistent with the results of sensory experiments. Water-holding capacity was evaluated by measuring residual water of specimens at specific temperature and relative humidity. Oil/liquid crystal/water system was proved to have higher ability to hold water in comparison with oil/water system. The results indicated that oil/liquid crystal/water system was of benefit to rheological properties creme type hair care products.

In recent years, river maintenance projects using natural methods have been continuously implemented in urban areas and methods emphasizing ecology are being developed and constructed in revetment areas. However, there is insufficient technical review on the hydraulic stability of those revetment methods during the event of flood. Therefore, a hydraulic analysis is necessary for the stream where revetments are applied. This study was conducted to develop an objective test method for the hydraulic stability of green revetment media. For this purpose, hydraulic model tests were performed for the green base materials for revetments. Tests were conducted using experimental devices for the hydraulic model which were installed to simulate the rapid current during the flood. Loss of soil by the hydraulic condition was compared and analyzed with that of dry green revetment media, and the evaluations were made on the corrosion resistance, tractive force, and contractile force. Test results showed that green revetment media had higher corrosion resistance in non-vegetation condition compared to dry green revetment media, and the loss of base materials by the rooting of vegetation showed significant reduction by the vegetation. In addition, results of the allowable tractive force of the base material indicated it is relatively stable in vegetation condition but scouring can occur in non-vegetation condition. Therefore, the development of vegetation in revetment areas is anticipated to be effective for the stability of revetment areas by reducing external forces interacting with the corrosion resistance and stream bank. The green revetment media in expected to contribute to the stability of revetment areas.
Alveolar ridge defects may limit or restrict placement of implants. The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical and histopathologic results which occur following guided bone regeneration using platelet-rich plasma, bovine bone powder and e-PTFE membrane in the localized alveolar bone defects. Ten patients who required guided bone regeneration in implant placemnet, were slelected. Alveolar crest height and width were measured at baseline and, afer 2nd surgery 5 months later At 5 months , we obtained histopathological results as follows: 1. Alveolar crest height was an average of $8.20{\pm}3.74$ mm preoperatively and decreased to an average of $7.40{\pm}1.84$ mm postoperatively. There was no significant difference. 2. Alveolar crest width was an average of $4.25{\pm}2.03$ mm preoperatively and significantly increased to an average of $7.20{\pm}2.44$ mm postoperatively (P<0.01) 3. The change of Alveolar crest height and width were $0.80{\pm}1.40$ mm, $2.95{\pm}1.09$ mm 4. Histopathological evaluations revealed new bone formation with graft material and laminated bone containing the presence of osteocyte-like cell In conclusion, guided bone regeneration using platelet-rich plasma, bovine bone powder and e-PTFE membrane would provide a viable therapeutic alternative for implant placement in the localized alveolar defect or implant failure
