Since SF6 gas was discovered in the early 1900s, it has been widely used as an insulation material for electrical equipment. While various indicators have been developed to diagnose oil-immersed transformers, there are still insufficient indicators for the diagnosis of gas-insulated transformers. When necessary, chemical diagnostic methods can be used for gas-insulated transformers. However, the field suitability and accuracy of those methods for transformer diagnosis have not been verified. In addition, since various types of decomposition gases are generated therein, it is also necessary to establish appropriate analysis methods to cover the variety of gases. In this study, a gas-insulated transformer was diagnosed through the analysis of decomposition gases. Reliability assessments of both simple analysis methods suitable for on-site tests and precise analysis methods for laboratory level tests were performed. Using these methods, a gas analysis was performed for the internal decomposition gases of a 154 kV transformer in operation. In addition, simulated discharge and thermal fault experiments were demonstrated. Each major decomposition gas generation characteristics was identified. The results showed that an approximate diagnosis of the inside of a gas-insulated transformer is possible by analyzing SO2, SOF2, and CO using simple analysis methods on-site. In addition, since there are differences in the types of decomposition gas generation patterns with various solid materials of the internal transformer, a detailed examination should be performed by using precise analysis methods in the laboratory.

We have produced electrolyte solution out of 1.15M $LiPF_6$ EC/EMC/DEC/PC(30/55/10/5 by vol%) as a reference, and at the same time, performed basic physical property test using a single solvent of 1.15M $LiPF_6$ DEC, DMC, EMC and a 2 component electrolyte solution of 1.15M $LiPF_6$ EC/DEC(1/2 by vol%) and PC/DEC(1/2 by vol%). Cyclic Voltammetry Analysis showed that, compared to existing carbonate organic solvent, the addition of DEC,DMC and EMC brought the de-decomposition peak of salt anion of $PF_6$ and the solvent at lower oxidization potential of 2.3V, 0.7V and 2.1V(vs. $Li/Li^+$). In addition, a kinetics current peak, in which intercalation of Lt is proceeded at 750mV, 450mV(vs. $Li/Li^+$), was confirmed. These findings suggest that the DEC solvent decomposition occurred at an electric potential lower than that of oxidization of existing carbonate organic solvent. Through the impedance analysis, we checked electric charge transfer resistance($R_{ct}$) according to the electric potential of $Li^+$ intercalation at 750mV(vs. $Li/Li^+$), which was the same as the resistance ($R_f$) and cyclic voltammetry of SEI film that was formed at Reference. By doing so, we found that the significant decrease of polarization resistance($R_p$) when Reference was played a part in the formation of compact SEI layer at the initial decomposition reaction.

Cyclic Voltammetry Analysis showed that, compared to existing carbonate organic solvent, the addition of DEC, DMC and EMC brought the de-decomposition peak of salt anion of PF$\sub$6/$\^$-/ and the solvent at lower oxidization potential of 2.3V, 0.7V and 2.1V(vs. Li/Li$\^$+/\`). In addition, a kinetics current peak, in which intercalation of Li$\^$+/ is proceeded at 750mv, 450mv(vs. Li/Li$\^$+/), was confirmed. These findings suggest that the DEC solvent decomposition occurred at an electric potential lower than that of oxidization of existing carbonate organic solvent. Through the impedance analysis, we checked electric charge transfer resistance(R$\sub$ct/) according to the electric potential of Li$\^$+/ intercalation at 750mv(vs. Li/Li$\^$+/), which was the same as the resistance (R$\sub$f/) and cyclic voltammetry of SEI film that was formed at Reference. By doing so, we found that the significant decrease of polarization resistance(R$\sub$p/) when Reference was played a part in the formation of compact SEI layer at the initial decomposition reaction.
For hazardous air pollutants(HAP) such as NO, $NO_2$ and $SO_2$ decomposition efficiency, power consumption, and applied voltage were investigated by SPCP(Surface induced discharge Plasma Chemical Processing) reactor to obtain optimum process variables and maximum decomposition efficiencies. Decomposition efficiency of HAP with various electric frequencies(5~50 kHz), flow rates(100~1,000 mL/min), initial concentrations(100~1,000 ppm) and additive($CH_4$) were measured and the products were analyzed with FT-IR. Experimental results showed that for the frequency of 10 kHz, the highest decomposition efficiency of 94.3 % for NO, 84.7 % for $NO_2$ and 99 % far $SO_2$ were observed at the power consumptions of 19.8, 20 and 19W, respectively, and that decomposition efficiency decreased with increasing frequency above 20 kHz. And decomposition efficiency per unit power were 5.21 %/W for $SO_2$, 4.76 %/W for NO and 4.24 %/W for $NO_2$ and the highest decomposition efficiency was observed with $SO_2$. Decomposition efficiency was increased with increasing residence times and with decreasing initial concentration of pollutants. When the additive of $CH_4$ was used, decomposition efficiency was increased with increasing $CH_4$ content, and NO, $NO_2$ and $SO_2$ were almost completely decomposed with the efficiency of 99 %, 98 % and 99 %, respectively and therefore $CH_4$ was a good additive material. The optimum power for the maximum decomposition efficiency were 7.5 W for $SO_2$, 9.5 W for NO and 15.5 W for $NO_2$, respectively. Optimum power with the maximum decomposition efficiency were 9.5 W at 1,000 ppm of NO, 7~8 W at 100~500 ppm of NO and 15.5 W at all concentration range of $NO_2$ and 11.5 W at 1,000 ppm, 4.9 W at 500 ppm, 3.7 W at 100~300 ppm of $SO_2$ and power efficiency was best in these case.

This paper describes a reinforced concrete crack model, which utilizes a strain decomposition technique. The strain decomposition technique enables the explicit inclusion of physical behavior across the cracked concrete surface such as aggregate interlock and dowel action rather than intuitively defining the shear retention factor. The proposed concrete crack model is integrated into the commercial finite element software ABAQUS shell elements through a user-supplied material subroutine. The FE results have been compared to experimental results reported by other researchers. The proposed bridge FE model is capable of predicting the initial cracking load level, the ultimate load capacity, and the crack pattern with good accuracy.
Mullite ceramics can be sintered by rf plasma sintering to densities as high as 97% compared to the theoretical density of the mullite, while SiC whisker-reinforced mullite matrix ceramic composites were not sintered by plasma sintering. Decomposition of mullite occurs in a superficial regins at the outside surface of the specimen by volatilization of SiO at elevated temperature by plasma. SiC whiskers were destroyed, and the matrix was converted to alumina from SiC-whisker reinforced mullite matrix ceramic composites during the plasma sintering. Accelerated volatilization from the SiC whisker in the mullite prevents sintering. The volatile species are mainly SiC and CO gas species. The effects of plasma on mullite and SiC-whisker reinforced mullite matrix composites are interpreted by thermodynamic simulation of the volatile species in the plasma environment. The thermodynamic results show that the decomposition will not occur during hot pressing.

In order to get oxidizing power enough for growth of a superconductive thin film with oxide gas, concentrated ozone was used. As a method for concentrating ozone, a method for concentrating ozone by adsorbing ozone selectively into silica-gel beads is adopted, and this concentration is analyzed by the ultraviolet absorption method, the thermal decomposition method and the Q-mass analyzing method. Thermal decomposition method is most effective for measurement of a high concentration of ozone. Ozone as concentrated by the adsorption method got to have a concentration of 97 mol % at the maximum, and it was identified that the concentration of the ozone gas was stable for the time while a thin film was formed.

An ozone condensation system is evaluated from the viewpoint of an ozone supplier for Bi-superconductor thin film growth. An ozone condenser by a selective adsorption on the silica gel surface is constructed. Ozone density is evaluated by three methods; ultraviolet absorption, thermal decomposition and Q-mass analyzing methods. Thermal decomposition method is found to be available to the density evaluation from dilute to highly condensed ozone. The highest ozone density condensed by the adsorption method is evaluated to be 97 mol%.

In this experimental study, methanol was chosen as a system material for a long -distance heat transportation. Not only transition metals but also noble metals were investigated as an active component, and several metal oxides, such as ${\gamma}$-$Al_2$,$O_3$, $SiO_2$, etc. as a support. In general, transition metal catalysts absorbed more heat than noble metal catalysts. The amount of heat absorption and CO selectivity depends on temperature and methanol partial pressure, and 25$0^{\circ}C$ Ni/$SiO_2$ catalyst showed the best result for methanol decomposition reaction.
