$Ni_{0.5}Cu_{0.1}Zn_{0.4}Fe_2O_4$ Ferrite-Rubber Composite의 전파흡수특성에 미치는 열처리 온도의 영향 및 Carbon 첨가효과 (Effect of Carbon Addition and Influence of Heat-treatment Temperature on Electromagnetic Wave Absorbing Properties of $Ni_{0.5}Cu_{0.1}Zn_{0.4}Fe_2O_4$-Rubber Composite)

  • The structure, shape, size, and magnetic properties of Ni$_{0.5}$Cu$_{0.1}$Zn$_{0.4}$Fe$_2$O$_4$ have been investigated as a function of annealing temperatures. In order to control the microwave absorbing properties of ferrite-rubber composite and the complex losses (magnetic loss and conduction loss), the effect of carbon addition was also studied. It was found that the coercive force decreased with increasing heat-treatment temperatures. Relative complex permeability and reflection loss were measured by the network analyzer. As a result, the natural resonance occurred in the low frequency tinge, and the matching frequency of the ferrite-rubber composite prepared at 130$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be lower. As heat-treatment temperatures were increased, the magnetic loss ($\mu$$_{r}$", $\mu$$_{r}$′) and the dielectric loss ($\varepsilon$$_{r}$"/$\varepsilon$$_{r}$′) were increased. It was caused that the absorption characteristics of the absorber were improved. The conduction loss and magnetic loss were expected to be occurred together because two matching frequencies were shown with carbon addition. It was confirmed that the matching frequency of the microwave absorber could be controlled by controlling heat-treatment temperatures and carbon additions.ons.tions.

Impedance Matching Based Control for the Resonance Damping of Microgrids with Multiple Grid Connected Converters

  • This paper presents an impedance-matching-based control scheme for the harmonic resonance damping of multiple grid-connected-converters (GCCs) with LCL filters. As indicated in this paper, harmonic resonance occurs if a GCC possesses an output impedance that is not matched with the rest of the network in some specific frequency bands. It is also revealed that the resonance frequency is associated with the number of GCCs, the grid impedance and even the capacitive loads. By controlling the grid-side current instead of the converter-side current, the critical LCL filter is restricted as an internal component. Thus, the closed-loop output impedance of the GCC within the filter can be configured. The proposed scheme actively regulates the output impedance of the GCC to match the impedance of the external network, based on the detected resonance frequency. As a result, the resonance risk of multiple GCCs can be avoided, which is beneficial for the plug-and-play property of the GCCs in microgrids. Simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • TO-can 레이저 다이오드를 사용한 광송수신기 모듈의 주파수 대역의 특성을 관찰하였다. 레이저 다이오드의 등가회로를 추출하기 위한 R-L-C변수는 임피던스 분석기를 이용하였다. 칩콘덴서를 사용하여 패키지내의 도선에 의한 인덕턴스 성분과의 임피던스 정합을 시도하였으나 저주파수 대역에서 공진으로 인한 경사가 발견되었다. 표면실장 형으로 소자를 구성하여 사용함으로써 공진주파수를 이동시켜 원하는 주파수 대역에서 공진 경사를 제거할 수 있었다.

  • 저주파 능동 소나를 이용한 잠수함 탐지 기술이 개발됨에 따라, 기존의 수동 무반향 타일을 대치할 새로운 잠수함 스텔스 기술이 요구되는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 선체 표면과 같은 대면적에 적용 가능한 타일형 프로젝터를 이용하여 능동 임피던스 정합을 구현함으로써 저주파 반향음 감소를 도모하는 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 능동 임피던스 정합 기법의 기술적 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 유한요소 모델을 이용한 저주파 반향음 감소 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 타일형 프로젝터를 설계 및 제작하여 음향수조에서 저주파 반향음 감소 실험을 수행하였다.

하이브리드 마이코로파 광대역 증폭기용 임피던스 정합회로 설계 (Design of broad-band impedance matching networks for hybrid microwave amplifier applications)

  • In this paper, the synthesis procedufe of impedance matching network is presented for broad-band microwave amplifier design, whereby amplifier operating in the octave bandwidth is designed and fabricated in detail. The transfer function of the matching netowrks is synthesized by chebyshev approximation and element values for the networks of specified topology are calculatd for various MILs and ripples. After the transistor is modeled by negative-image device model, the synthesis procedure for matching networks is applied to broad-band amplifier design which has electrical performance of about 12dB gain in 4 to 8GHz range. Experimental results obtained from the fabricated amplifier are shown to approach the electrical performance designed in the given frequency range. Construction of the impedance matching networks by transfer function synthesis is very useful method for the design of broad-band microwave amplifiers.

삼차원 의학 영상에서 시각적으로 향상된 정합을 사용한 프랙탈 부호화 (Fractal Coding of Three Dimensional Medical Images with Perceptually Enhanced Matching)

  • A new three dimensional fractal coding is proposed with a perceptually enhanced matching. Since most of medical images (e.g. computed tomoyaphy or magnetic resonance images) have three dimensional characters, searching regions are extended to adjacent slices. For a perceptually enhanced matching, a high frequency boost filter is used for pre-filtering images to be encoded, and a least mean square error matching is applied to the edge enhanced Images rather than the original images. From simulation with magnetic resonance images($255\times255$, 8bits/pixel), reconstructed images by the proposed compression algorithm show much improved subjective image quality with higher peak signnal-to-noise ratio compared to those by existing fractal coding algorithms at compression ratios of about 10.

  • A three dimensional fractal coding with a perceptually enhanced matching is proposed. For perceptually enhanced matching, a high frequency booster filter is used for prefiltering of the original image, and the least mean square error matching is applied to this edge enhanced image rather than the original image. From the simulation with the magnetic resonance images ($255{\times}255$, 8bits/pixel). the proposed algorithm provides excellent image quality with compression rations higher than 10. Compared to existing fractal coding the algorithm also provides better subjective image quality with higher compression ratio.

실내 마이크로파 배전용 완전 정합형 전력 분배 스위치의 설계 (Matching-type Power Dividing Switch for Low Reflection in Indoor Microwave Power Distribution)

  • In a indoor microwave power distribution system, matching-type power dividing switch is proposed and designed with a various power dividing ratio. A matching coaxial cable probe is used behind the output probe for the reflecting power absorption. Reflecting characteristics of the matching coaxial cable probe are calculated by analyzing the S-parameter of this structure. Newly proposed matching-type switch shows a very low return loss less than -30dB at the operating frequency of 2.45GHz with a dividing power ratio of 50.2%. The simulated results by use of 3-stage power divider shows a good agreement with the theoretical estimation for the various combination of the different switching ratio.

Contactless Power Charger for Light Electric Vehicles Featuring Active Load Matching

  • Contactless power transfer technology is gaining increasing attention in city transportation applications because of its high mobility and flexibility in charging and its commensurate power level with conductive power transfer method. In this study, an inductively coupled contactless charging system for a 48 V light electric vehicle is proposed. Although this study does not focus on system efficiency, the generic problems in an inductively coupled contactless power transfer system without ferromagnetic structure are discussed. An active load matching method is also proposed to control the power transfer on the receiving side through a load matching converter. Small signal modeling and linear control technology are applied to the load matching converter for port voltage regulation, which effectively controls the power flow into the load. A prototype is built, and experiments are conducted to reveal the intrinsic characteristics of a series-series resonant inductive power charger in terms of frequency, air gap length, power flow control, coil misalignment, and efficiency issues.

Non-Foster 회로를 이용한 FM 안테나의 신호 대 잡음비 개선 (Signal-to-noise Ratio Improvement of a FM Antenna Using a Non-Foster Circuit)

  • In this paper, we demonstrate a Non-Foster matching method for an electrically small antenna to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of communication link. For the experiment, we used a general FM antenna whose resonance frequency is about 52-57 MHz and a floating type Linvill negative impedance converter(NIC)-based circuit as a Non-Foster matching element. By implementing the Non-Foster circuit to cover FM band, we can achieve a wide bandwidth matching covers 40-200 MHz. Our measurement shows 3-7 dB improvement of SNR for the same bandwidth though there are several spikes which means no improvement of SNR in the band.
