Green building information used by the AEC industry is diverse and extensive), causing difficulties for personnel regarding the collection and utilization of information in the form of inaccurate searches about related laws, inefficient management of searched information and overlapping works. Therefore, this research aims to propose a law search system utilizing metadata for more accurate and efficient searches of green building information. The proposed system is expected to contribute to improve productivity of construction projects by reinforcing the accuracy and efficiency of searches for the collection and utilization of green building information.

As the management and preservation of the environment become an important social issue, information required to support environmental task is required. So, there is an increasing demand for environmental information and appropriate systems to manage it. The vast volume of environmental data is distributed in different knowledge domains and systems. Environmental data objects have the complex structure containing environmental quality data and attribute data. Environmental information systems must be able to address these properties. This research has aimed at constructing well-defined schema design of environmental data, and making system architecture that environmental data kept by authorities should be made available to the public user. There are 3 major components in environmental information systems architecture ; User interface, Catalog libraries, Communication Provider. Web browsers provide consistent and intuitive user interfaces on Internet. The communication provider is a collection of diverse CGI functions. The main roles of the CGIs are to build interfaces between the Web, databases. Catalog libraries is libraries of various matadata including administration matadata. Administration matadata support the environmental administration and the managerial aspects of environmental data rather than explain a database itself or its properties.

Since EA includes huge information of a company, it takes long time and high cost for company's employees to search for what they need. We try to make the foundation to solve this problem by using ontology technology based on semantic web. In this paper, we try to verify efficiency of EA ontology by developing ontology for Business Enterprise Architecture(BEA). The purpose of this paper is to develop BEA ontology to provide new information by reasoner and to discover new relations between matadata by using extracted information and data. The EA ontology we developed will provide the new way of access and use for companies. The experience of ontology development will help EA ontology development in various domains. In the future, the development of other EAs which has more information resources will help to solve problems for interoperability between different EAs.

With the advance of internet and computer processing technique, users can easily access and use the multimedia contents involving the various pictures, videos and audios information. And users request more convenient and accurate multimedia services. In these environments, it is difficulties to integrate and manage metadata standards because there are various standards in multimedia applications according to types of services and data formats individually. In this paper, we design and implement the multimedia metadata management system for integrating from heterogeneous sources. In our system, we managed heterogeneous metadata by integrating to unified schema using mapping table. Through proposed system, users can search multimedia data easily without considering variety of application services.

동영상 정보에 대한 효과적인 검색도구로 메타데이터를 제안하였다. 메타데이터 체계를 구축하기 위한 기반으로는 인터넷 정보자원에 대한 대표적인 메타데이터인 더블린 코어와 MPEG의 새로운 표준이며 국제표준으로 개발되고 있는 MPEG-7을 이용하였다. 메타데이터 기술의 기반으로 RDF를 사용하였으며, 이에 따라 RDF 스키마인 Moving Image Core를 구축하였다. 아울러 ASP를 이용한 웹기반 메타데이터 데이터베이스 시스템을 구축하였으며 이를 통해 RDF/XML형식으로 기술된 동영상정보의 메타데이터를 웹에서 검색할 수 있다.

기술동향정보는 연구개발 활동과 과학기술정책의 결정과정에서 매우 중요한 요소이다. 그러나 기술동향정보 메타데이터에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이 연구는 뉴스분야에서 표준적 위치에 있는 NewsML을 참고하되, 국내 기술동향정보 서비스에서 사용된 요소를 고려하여 기술동향정보 메타데이터 요소와 스킴을 제안하였다. 이 연구 결과는 앞으로 국내의 실정에 맞는 기술동향정보 메타데이터 표준을 개발하기 위한 기초자료로 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

4D 기술이란 3D 혹은 일반영상과 함께 물리적 효과를 제공하는 것을 말한다. 이를 구현하기 위해선 영상의 재생 시간 및 프레임 데이터에 따른 4D용 메타데이터 제작이 필요하다. 본 논문은 영상의 컬러 정보에 따라 영상의 온도 상황을 판단하여 물리적 효과를 제공할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방안은 화재와 같은 영상의 컬러 정보를 파악하여 해당 상황에 맞게 물리적 효과를 제공할 수 있도록 한다. 제안하는 방안을 사용할 경우, 히터 장치와 같은 촉각체험을 위한 4D 메타데이터를 프로그래머의 개입 없이 자동으로 제작할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

최근 인터넷의 급속한 보급과 네트워크 자원을 비롯한 전자자료의 급증, 메타데이터의 출현 등으로 목록분야에 있어 환경이 크게 급변하고 있다. IFLA를 비롯한 관련 기관들이 이와 같은 변화에 대응하여 많은 연구와 함께 규칙들을 정비하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 디지털 전자자료의 목록과 관련하여 시대별로 주요한 흐름을 분석한 후, 전자자료의 목록과 직접적인 관련이 있는 ISBD(ER), AACR2R 2002 개정판, MARC 21, 더블린 코어, 한국목록규칙 제4판을 중심으로 보다 자세하게 살펴보았다. 그리고 오늘날 인터넷 자료를 조직하기 위해 시도되고 있는 대표적인 방법으로 인터넷상의 웹 페이지를 자동으로 색인하는 방법, 웹 자료를 기술하기 위해 고안된 더블린 코어 등과 같은 메타데이터를 이용하는 방법, 도서관에서 전통적으로 시행하고 있는 MARC 형식으로 목록하는 방법에 대해 비교 분석하였다.

본 연구에서는 의료정보시스템 간에 상호연동성을 지원한 수 있는 XML 기반의 심전도(electrocardiography, 이하 ECG) 데이터의 효율적인 저장구조 및 관리방법을 제시하고, 웹기반으로 ECG 정보서비스를 제공할 수 있는 ECG 메타데이터 시스템을 구현한다. ECG 메타데이터 시스템은 ECG 데이터와 메타데이터의 저장, 검색, 그리고 pdf 파일형식의 리포팅 서비스 기능을 포함한다. ECG 데이터의 저장구조는 심전도 데이터의 특성과 액세스 특성을 분석하여 비분할 저장방식을 사용하였고, 효율적인 검색기능을 제공하기 위해 HL7 aECG 데이터로부터 메타데이터를 추출하여 인덱스로 활용하였다. ECG 리포팅 서비스를 제공하기 위해 템플릿 메커니즘을 이용하여 텍스트 XML 형태의 데이터를 여러 데이터 포맷으로 변환한다.

행정정보소재 안내 서비스는 정보원에 대한 내용적 기술뿐만 아니라 위치정보, 접근 방법 등 외부적인 요소까지 기술함으로써 이용자의 정보에 대한 접근 및 이용을 가능하게 한다. 서비스 개선을 위해 현재 전자정부에서 제공하고 있는 소재정보안내시스템을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 문제점이 발견되었다. 첫째, 인터페이스적인 측면에서 검색결과 화면의 오류나 레코드 항목명을 이해하기 어려웠다. 둘째, 레코드 항목 중 내용이 기입되지 않은 항목이 다수 발견되었다. 셋째, 정보접근 방식에 대해 구체적으로 제시하지 않았다. 넷째, 비공개 혹은 제한적 공개 사유에 대한 근거를 명확히 제시하지 않았다. 따라서 발견된 문제점을 해결하여 정보소재안내 서비스를 활성화하기 위해서는 레코드 수집방법을 개선하고 소재 레코드 항목을 재구성하며 적극적인 홍보활동 및 인터넷을 이용한 정보접근 방법을 강화해야 한다.
