To proceed mass production and improve its quality, we fermented potatoes using pilot system and investigated the changes in components during fermentation. After liquefaction and saccharification of potatoes by Nuruk(group I), crude enzyme(group II) and glucoamylase(group III), sugar contents in all groups were 18brix equally. However sugar contents in group(II) and group(III) after 24hrs decreased deeply to 7.2 and 8.8 % respectively, after 24hrs. Alcohol content in group(I) increased slowly and was the highest such as 6.8% after 48hrs. Fusel oils in all groups were n-propanol, isobutanol and isoamylalcohol. The major fusel oil in all groups was isoamylalcohol. At the early stage of fermentation, free sugars were glucose, maltose and lactose. Glucose decreased deeply during fermentation and at latter of the fermentation, galactose was detected in all groups. The contents of total free amino acid were 516.57~569.98 mg% in group(I), 193.97~292.11 mg% in group (II) and 186.31~270.53 mg% in group(III). The contents of aspartic acid, serine, glutamic acid, alanine, arginine, and histidine were high in all groups.

This study has examined the shift in fashion styles in Korea by analyzing trends in fashion environment and fashion image by seasons in Korea to understand the domestic fashion flow from 2000 to 2006. Since 2000, with the well-being trend, polarization of consumption, preference in luxury orientation, and digital revolution, consumers became individualized and detail oriented. They also became smart consumers equipped with information and knowledge in making choice and purchasing products suiting their taste. To satisfy the consumer trend, fashion market also saw changes such as expansion of advanced distribution, totalization of brands, growing of on-line shopping mall, expansion of outdoor-wear market, and formation of masstage(mass+prestage) market. Fashion images in domestic women's wear since 2000 are analyzed as classic, elegant, minimalism, romantic, bohemian & vintage, ethnic, glam, girlish, kidult, sportive, femiculine, military, and lingerie image. Classic, romantic, and bohemian & vintage are the images that were popular throughout 2000 to 2006. Fashion images of domestic women's wear showed changes in three periods: Sportive image was popular in FW 2002; military image in SS 2003 to SS 2005; and femiculine, glam, and minimalism images in FW 2005 to FW 2006. Through information and detail-oriented emotion, the wide-ranging acceptance of global trends, the consumer tendency towards purchasing products quickly and conveniently, the speedy supply of trendy products both on-line and in-store, and the evolution of the fashion market towards providing one-stop shopping and a cultural space, different fashion images have all emerged at the same time in Korea. It looks like this phenomenon is set to continue for a while.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of daily exercise before steroid treatment on mass, the type I and II fiber cross-sectional area, and myofibrillar protein content of hindlimb muscles in a rat model. Method: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a control group(n=10) that had a normal saline injection for 7days, a steroid group(n=10) that had a steroid injection for 7days, and an exercise-steroid group(n=10) that ran on the treadmill for 7days before a steroid treatment. Body weight and food intake were measured every day. At 15 days all rats were anesthetized and the soleus, plantaris and gastrocnemius muscles were dissected. Result: The exercise-steroid group showed significant increases as compared with the steroid group in body weight, muscle weight of the soleus and gastrocnemius, type II muscle fiber cross-sectional area of plantaris, and myofibrillar protein content of the soleus, plantaris, and gastrocnemius. As compared with the control group, the steroid group showed significant decreases in body weight and diet intake, muscle weight, the type II fiber cross-sectional area and myofibrillar protein content of the soleus, plantaris, and gastrocnemius muscles. Conclusion: Daily exercise before steroid treatment attenuates hindlimb muscle atrophy, with type II muscle changes more apparent than type I muscle changes.

The consumer affair is one of the rapidly evolving problems in the process of recent economic growth. As the society and its economy changes, the nature and the scope of the consumer affairs also changes. while the main concept of the consumer affaires originated from the market mechanism, it is now expanding beyond the market mechanism to include everyday lives of consumers. In solving the problems which arise form the status difference between the manufacturer and the consumer the manufacturer's action is no less important the consumer's self-improvement of its status. The manufactures with the purpose of getting maximum profits from the consumers are conducting the consumer oriented managerial marketing, but this sis done form the manufacturer's point of view with the consumer's position being neglected. It is the purpose of this paper to investigate the nature and direction of the marketing from the consumer's position being neglected. It is the purpose of this paper to investigate the nature and direction of the marketing from the consumer's point of view. For this study a couple of pre-investigations were done. First, I surveyed the changing consumers with economic growth the developing process of marketing, and the cause and characteristics of the today's consumer affaires. Second, I studied the concept change of the modern marketing, and the concept of the consumerism which was materialized by this concept change. I further studied, with the consumer's point of view, the socioecological marketing which is based on the consumerism. The conclusion of this investigation is that the manufacturers should convert the in humanized marketing to the more human and environment conscious socioecological marketing because the consumer affairs which arise from the mass consumption of the modern days are expanding to include everyday's problems. This conversion naturally should be based on the human concept based consumerism. To be more effective, the manufactures should assume more social responsibilities and conduct the socioecological marketing voluntarily and willingly.

Seunglamdonoli was a traditional board game played during the Chosun Dynasty. In this article, I interpret its features as a board game and discuss the possibility of turning it into a mass market game like Milton Bradley's 'The Game of Life' in the U.S. Seunglamdonoli uses the dice to determine movements around a board shaped like Korea, teaching players about important geographic locations, and traditional characters in a game that relies on strategy as well as luck. With appropriate changes such as introducing a standardized game board or digitalization for use on computers, Seunglamdonoli has potential to again become a popular pastime as well as become tool for learning about Korean history, geography, and society. Furthermore it can be adapted as an educational game for any location with minimal changes.

With the increase of mass contents data, a method of a scene change detection is required for analysis, indexing and editing. Although many researchers are studying a variety of scene change detection method, it is too difficult to accurately detect various movements of the cameras and scene changes. Also, earlier scene change detection methods take too much time to apply to UHD video contents. That is because the UHD video contents with 4K (3820x2160) resolution or higher have greater amount of data. Therefore a method for detecting a scene change by using the next-generation codec, HEVC, is required. In this paper, we propose four scene change detection methods using the coding additional information of HEVC, and a new pixel-based scene change detection system. Furthermore, through the experimental results, we check the possibility of detecting the scene changes of UHD videos encoded in HEVC format.

People have been getting interested in the Orientalism and it has come up in various areas due to scientific progress. I designed uniforms, which was simple and western, to show its symbolic meanings in the Orientalism. And I have been trying to generalize uniforms with originality and beauty. I have studied the process of the Orientalism and its changes and transitions, concepts and origins in history. And I applied the styles of Korean, Japanese and Chineses costume on it. I also referred to characters of uniforms, which already had images of Korea, Japan and China. Firstly, Korean styles have a contrast in colors by application of Taegeuk. And they gave lines with dark colors in black one-piece dress. This makes people who are wearing looking slimmer. White ramie top looks fresh and Korean traditional tie called Maedeup is set up for button. Secondly, Japanese styles were mainly Kimono style, one piece. They changed into two pieces designed to be active. So, it has emphasized the image of Kimono with Obi at the waist. Thirdly, Chinese styles basically are Chipao style, which has a Chinese collar and a long skirt, which has opening. But they gradually changed into short skirts and more open in the chest. For one of them, they gave lines in the side of chest, sleeves and skirt to be more natural. The costumes have kept their positions as a part of mass society that grows and changes with speed. And oriental uniforms are not just uniforms any longer only for work. It is quite symbolic like a 'second face' as it represents images for their countries and enterprises.

The purpose of this is to analyze the aesthetics characteristics of our modern sports fashion, and thereby, discuss them in the light of the overall mentality or the 20th century, and thus, present the conditions or sports fashion design meeting modem people's divers aesthetics values and desired. Modern sports fashion sues can be categorized into futurist sports style, erotic sports style and American sheet sports style. And the 20th century mentality characterized by changes of lifestyle, identity and aspiration has influenced the aesthetic features of such sports fashion sues, which can be summed up as follows; first, the futurist sports style applies the functional items and details of active sportswear to design, while heralding a positive and hopeful message of technology and future by using the material of hi-tech functions and senses. This sports style was affected much by shift from social status, attraction and wealth to demonstration of state-of-the-art science, pursuit of functionality in terms of shapes and materials, convenience through See combinations of sportswear items or design elements. Second, the erotic sports style based on minimalism attempted to express the erotic body beauty indirectly by exposing some parts of body or using the material pressed against the body. This sports style was closely related with the changes of sexual identity such as neutral sexualism, bi-sexualism and homo-sexualism. Lastly, the American street sports style was born from black Americarns' sports and dances. This spors style pursues “youth” beyond TPO concept As mass media and commercial sports developed, the young generation copied sports stars' uniforms or fashions to share honor, wealth and youth with them. In sort, the American sheet sports style was affected much by the so-called “heroism”. Such a changed object of aspiration influenced the aesthetic characteristics of American shot sports style directly.

The main focus of this paper is to analyze trend of event informations in a variety of mass media by graphical visualization in axis of the time and location. Especially, continuity analysis based on user-generated social media can reflect the social impact of a certain event according to change time and location and their directional changes. To reveal the characteristics of continuous events, we survey the data set collected from news articles and tweets during two years. Based on case studies on 'disease' and 'leisure', we verify the effectiveness and usefulness of our proposed method. Even though some events occurred during same period, we showed directional changes which have high-impact in social media referred user interest's, compared with fact-based continuous visualization results.

Purpose: Malignant changes of Marjolin's ulcer arising from chronic burn scar are rare. The majority of them are squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma. Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is a deep seated pleomorphic sarcoma, which occurs principally as a mass of the extremities, abdominal cavity, or retroperitoneum in adults. Methods: We report a 58-year-old male patient who was admitted due to $3.5{\times}5cm$ chronic ulceration of anterior chest wall on the center of old burn scar. His scar had been occurred by boiling oil and treated with conservative treatment 45 years ago. Preoperative punch biopsy showed suspicious malignant changes and contrast enhanced chest CT showed well-defined, irregular shape enhancing lesion on anterior chest wall without intrathoracic metastasis. Results: The tumor was widely excised and defect was covered with skin graft without infection, necrosis and any other complication. The pathologic findings are compatible with malignant fibrous histiocytoma(storiform - pleomorphic type). The patient underwent 3 cycles of chemotheraphy. Although distant metastasis to the lung developed 6 months later and the patient died 9 month later, there was no local reoccurrence. Conclusion: Aggressive and early excision is needed because malignant fibrous histiocytoma has characteristics of high malignancy with a propensity for early and distant spread. Furthermore, the patient's education about disease entity and postoperative regular follow-up for local recurrence or metastasis is very important. To prevent malignancy from secondly healing burn scar, early skin graft is recommended for patients with deep second degree burn.
