This study focuses on the trends and issues of improving safety management of elevators in Korea. Frequency and severity of accidents in relation to conditional pass in periodic inspection, maintenance, market surveillance are analyzed based on the statistical data and social cost due to a variety of related fields in managing elevator safety was estimated first. The results of statistical analysis performed in this study will provide logical basis and future direction for improving the safety management system. The role of certification and supervision is particularly addressed to reduce the related accidents and the social cost. The effectiveness of such procedures can be found from the results of simple statistical analysis.

통합 메시징은 다양한 종류의 메시지 모두를 하나의 이용자 인터페이스로 가져와 모든 메시지에 대한 통지, 배달, 새로운 메시지의 송신, 그리고 수신 메시지에 대한 회신 및 포워딩을 제공하는 기술을 말한다. 통합 메시징 서비스가 현재 전세계적으로 유망한 차세대 통신 서비스로 가치를 인정 받고 있는 시점에서, 본 고에서는 2001년 정보통신부가 출연하여 수행한 50대 전략품목 조사분석 과제의 산출물인 통합 메시징 시스템 기술/시장 보고서의 일부분을 발췌하여 간략히 정리하였다.

전력반도체는 전력을 시스템에 맞게 배분하는 제어와 변환기능을 가진 소자이며, 에너지를 절약하고 제품을 축소하기 위하여 전력공급 장치나 전력변환 장치에 사용된다. 최근에는 모바일 기기의 증가와 전기자동차의 개발과 맞물려 전력반도체 적용 영역이 확대되고 있다. 선진국들은 산 학 연 관 중심으로 에너지를 절감할 수 있는 친환경 절전형 전력소자 공정, 회로, 모듈 및 시스템 기술 개발에 집중하고 있다. 국내는 원천기술 부족과 해외 특허 등으로 인해 90% 이상을 수입에 의존하고, 기술수준은 선진국대비 50~70%에 불과할 정도로 매우 취약한 편이다.

OLED 조명은 점이나 선광원 뿐 아니라 넓은 면적의 패널조명도 구현이 가능해 두께 2~3mm의 초슬림 제품도 제작할 수 있고, 눈부심도 거의 없어 은은한 빛이 필요한 실내조명에 적합하다. 그리고 수은 납 등 중금속을 사용하지 않고 친환경 유기소재를 이용한 발광다이오드로 양극구조의 면광원 조명으로 차세대 환경친화적인 조명이며, 에너지 절감효과가 우수한 고효율 특성을 갖고 있어 LED 조명과 함께 기존 조명을 대체할 차세대 광원으로 주목을 받아 왔다. 본 고에서는 OLED 조명의 산업구조와 시장전망 및 국내외 업체들의 개발현황을 분석하고자 한다.

최근 모바일 핸드셋을 포함한 모바일 서비스의 보급률이 향상되고, 소비자들의 다양한 요구를 충족시키기 위한 모바일 데이터 서비스들이 우리의 생활전반에 급격히 확산되고 있다. 그 중에서도 MLS(Mobile Location Services)에 대한 미국 정부차원의 의무화 규정과 상업적인 목적에서의 핸드셋 제조업체 및 이동통신 서비스 사업자들의 관심이 고조되고 있으며, 향후 MLS 시장 규모가 급성장할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 미국의 MLS 관련 기술과 시장 동향을 살펴보기로 한다.

최근 아이폰이 등장하면서 인터페이스는 새롭게 재조명받게 되었으며, 다양한 모바일 기기가 제공하는 컴퓨팅 능력을 제대로 활용하기 위해서는 반드시 사용자 인터페이스가 필요하며 중요하다. 과거 사용자 인터페이스라는 말은 컴퓨터에 제한적으로 사용되었지만, 다양한 디지털 기기 그 중에서도 스마트폰의 출시로 인해 그 의미가 점차 확장되고 있다. 또한, 최근 들어 기술 및 성능화의 차별화가 한계에 봉착하면서 인터페이스 중심으로 경쟁 패러다임이 점차 변화하고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 UI(User Interface)의 새로운 혁신을 이끌고 있는 스마트폰을 중심으로, 모바일 UI의 진화 방향 및 제조사별 UI 적용 현황을 살펴보고 이를 토대로 모바일 UI 기술동향과 모바일 UI 시장을 전망하고자 한다.
