So, Revenue increase in overseas plant projects would boost up not only domestic construction industry but also growth of national economy. Recently, overseas plant-construction market is expanding dramatically. For instant, Middle-east countries are constantly increasing their orders for the construction of petro-chemical plants stimulated by sky-rocketing oil prices. The purpose of this research is to develop management techniques for plant projects such as work break-down structure, knowledge management system, logistics & procurement system, and risk assessment tools. • Studies focusing on the constantly changing buying behavior and product preferences of a booming teen market are rare and this is particularly true in the Philippines. To address this gap in the literature, this study focused on the supermarket brands of cologne preferred by teens in the Philippines such as Lewis & Pearl (L&P), Johnson's Baby Cologne, Juicy, Bench, Ellips, Fiona, Bambini and Baby Flo which are manufactured by various competing companies. Essentially, this study presented and described the profile and buying behavior of cologne users and non-cologne users and determined whether preferential differences existed between these brands. The respondents consisted of 473 teens all over the Philippines stratified in terms of general location via the three major groups of islands in the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Respondents came from selected schools in Quezon City in Metro Manila, Sariaya in Quezon Province, Cebu City, and Digos City to represent the Greater Metro Manila Area, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, respectively. Findings showed that almost all of the respondents used cologne at varying degrees. In general, teens use several scents and brands of cologne and continually shift from one scent/brand to another scent/brand. This made it difficult for any company to capture loyal consumers. The most popular brands used by teenagers were Bench (61.7%), Lewis and Pearl (59%), Juicy (42%), Afficionado (32%), Fiona (19.3%), Penshoppe (18%), Bambini (12.6%), Ellips (11.3%) and Zen Zest (7.5%). Fragrance or scent is the top priority of teenagers in choosing a cologne brand, followed by brand name, affordability, bottle design and endorser. The spray bottle type of colognes is preferred even if cologne spray bottles are priced higher than the splash cologne bottle type. Managerial implications of these findings for market players, marketing scholars and prospective investors are presented.

  • This paper addresses the development on supply-demand outlook model of Jeju winter radish and introduces a projection of supply-demand and market prices during 2014-2018 using the model. The supply-demand outlook model is specified as a partial equilibrium model of Jeju winter radish. Each equation in the model is estimated by using the econometric techniques. A review of the model stability is also carried out by the references based on RMSPE, MAPE, and Theil's inequality coefficients. According to the reference of RMAPE, the error rates of the forecasting values of the cultivation ares, production quantity, and consumption quantity show less than 4% and the error rate of market price is below 10%. The cultivation area and production quantity are projected respectively to be increased to 6,650ha and 433,310MT in 2018.

  • Korean economy has contains many economic problems during past 2-3 years. One of these problems is unemployment rate rise rapidly. So Korean government has proposed many programs to deal specifically with male and female unemployment. But important things are not only administratoin's programs but also unemployed persons' reservation wage. Accordingly the purpose of this thesis is to analyze why reservation wages differ between male and female. The data we are going to use is the unemployment survey by researcher in 1998. By the result of the estimation of reservation wage functions, we are found two fact. The first is the principle of determinants reservation wage are different between male and female. In esimation of male reservation wage function, early wage and age, education level, unemployment period are very important determinants. But in esimation of female reservation wage function, early wage and education level, age, licence are very important determinants. The second is the reservation wage-setting mechanisms are different between male and fermale. Therefore we conclude that because Korean labor market is stratified labor market, reservation wage-setting mechanisms are much different by sex.

  • The paper presents available options that Korea can adopt in an effort to promote eco-industrial development in a near future. What is missing and the reasons why Korea is behind the other countries in the area are: 1) Lack of holistic view and the integrated approach toward economy and environment in policy implementation, 2) Lack of understanding, among entrepreneurs, of the concept of productivity per input resource, and the fact that not only labor and capital productivity but also the total productivity enhancement is vital for industry's competitive edge; There has been no driving force in the market to develop economies of system integration to turn industrial wastes to valuable input resources, 3) Unsupportive regulatory system regarding the trade of by products, and 4) Lack of financing and incentive mechanism. 5) Lack of information forum. Regulatory reform should be taken for the direction that in effect increase the price of disposal and motivate firms to seek symbiotic relationship with other firms, and facilitate trade by-product between firms. Financing and incentive mechanism should be introduced in order for the industry to find easy access to the opportunities for organizing the network to transform wastes in negative value to the value added resources. Also information network should be established to provide a market for by-product exchange and public education to improve industry's environmental performance.

  • The purpose of this paper is to start off a debate in the current situation in which there exists two different logics about a newspaper company expanding their business field to the broadcasting market. In order to analyze the implications of the phenomenon, three points are raised and analyzed. First, Chosun-Ilbo, Jungang-Ilbo and Donga-Ilbo, who had a permission to get into the broadcasting arena, did not make their logic based on the fact while deriving the public opinion to be optimistic. Second, they strictly held their frames in order to support their logics which were an overall deregulation, to stimulate the economy and to create jobs without introducing various perspectives. Third, broadcasting of three major newspaper companies could monopolize the public sphere rather than contributing to the diversity of public opinions against three existing broadcasting companies KBS, MBC, SBS.

  • The smart phone industry has shown its continuous growth even under global economy crisis and its ecological surrounding is rapidly shifting. In order to retain its global competitive advantage, it is necessary to comprehend and implement a preemptive policy regarding ecological transition of smart phones. Many developed foreign countries including the United States and Europe endeavor to maintain competitiveness in the new ecology of smart phones. Korea, which was once the most leading country in the IT industry, has accepted the fact that it lost an opportunity to take competitive advantage in the market and now it is striving to regain its past reputation. This study aims to examine the new potential category of services and products in this rapidly changing smart phone market and also suggested necessary additional efforts from the government side.
