  • The world-wide ship construction market is forecast that the considerable portion of shipbuilding and oceanic plant industry will be transferred consequently in China after 5 or 10 years. This point of view where the Korean ship construction industry seizes the initiative from the world-wide ship construction/oceanic field, we must cultivate technical power of base technology, and focus our interests on the development of core parts. In this study, our proprietary remotely operated valve actuator system with power line technology was developed to enhance the installation and commissioning process by our own technology. This paper describes the new design and functions of the remotely operated valve system for shipbuilding and offshore market especially for FPSO.

One of merits seems to be that operating environment of embedded system is the same as development environment using PC. That makes developing and manufacturing period shorten and also proper time to market Most of all machinery have sequential control system for their maneuvering which is composed of relays. contacts. timers. etc. In this paper. software sequential control system is proposed to be able to replace hardware sequential control system by using embedded system A lot of merits by the software sequential control system can be expected in the respect of economic reproduction, intelligent technologies and utilities, And porting of LINUX operating system to embedded system is carried out and device drivers and interface boards for LINUX 05 are designed for controlling air compressor by software Internet remote control and monitoring system of air compressor is implemented with Java script and CGI for these purposes. The experiment for operating air compressor system is taken through internet networks. The results show that developed system can be used for real plant.

A Study on Factors Affecting the Supply of Apartments in Changwon City (창원시 아파트 공급량에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine which factors are important in determining the amount of the apartment supply in Changwon City. Additionally, this study is to examine the changes in the determination of the amount of apartment supply in Changwon by dividing it into before and after 2016 as the city showed a large difference in apartment supply that caused structural changes during this time period. This study shows that the increase in the number of housing construction permits in Changwon before 2016 had a negative impact on the housing market as well as causing a decrease in the supply of apartments in Changwon after 2016. As a result of the shortsighted predictions on the housing market of Changwon from before 2016, it still affects the current housing market as of June 2020. The implication of this study is that through the housing market system of Changwon City, they can take the role as a control tower in Changwon City and propose principles and standards for supply control in order to better predict the demand of the housing market.

  • Along with the diversification of digital content services using wired/wireless networks, the market for the construction of base systems is growing rapidly. Cloud computing services are recognized for a reasonable cost of service and superior system operations. Cloud computing is convenient as far as system construction and maintenance are concerned; however, owing to the security risks associated with the system construction of actual cloud computing service, the ICT(Information and Communications Technologies) market is lacking regardless of its many advantages. In this paper, we conducted an experiment on a cloud computing security enhancement model to strengthen the security aspect of cloud computing and provide convenient services to the users. The objective of this study is to provide secure services for system operation and management while providing convenient services to the users. For secure and convenient cloud computing, a single sign-on (SSO) technique and a system access control technique are proposed. For user authentication using SSO, a security level is established for each user to facilitate the access to the system, thereby designing the system in such a manner that the rights to access resources of the accessed system are not abused. Furthermore, using a user authentication ticket, various systems can be accessed without a reauthorization process. Applying the security technique to protect the entire process of requesting, issuing, and using a ticket against external security threats, the proposed technique facilitates secure cloud computing service.

  • Recently, a quite large number of investigation is published on the subject of Flexible Manufacturing System which can cope with the volatile market demand and the variety of product. Minimum requirement of designing FMS is depicted and by investigating the communication system between the machine tool and the cell control computer, ana between the central computer and the cell control computer, when it is formed as a sub-system of an FEM, the software can be evolved to the control software of the total Flexible Manufacturing System. It is developed the communication system between the central computer and the cell control computer which is the basic structure of the control architecture of FMS under the concept of DNC (Direct Numerical Control). It is used CYBER 180-830 as the central computer, and GMC-1100 computer as the cell control computer, and the main basic program is developed and tested, thus forming a DNC system which can be used in educational environment.

  • During the past 100 years, Korean fisheries management policies have enforced the license system, it is the most typical regulation system in Korean fisheries. Even now, it has caused resource management failure, it has also invited economic inefficiency and inequity. Accordingly, the Korean government has recently introduced the self-regulatory management system for fishermen with the TAC system. These systems are one of the most market-oriented regulation systems in fisheries management systems. It is defined as regulatory policy tools other than regulations with command and control approach. It is also called “alternatives” which is composed of regulatory alternatives and non-regulatory alternatives. The self-regulatory management system and the ITQ system are cooperative-based co-management between government and fishermen as an alternative management strategy ; it is gaining the increasing attention to improve the effectiveness of fisheries management in Korea. It is expected not only to positively improve function in fisheries regulation, but also to decrease inefficiency in fisheries policies. However, these systems have many problems. The monopolization of rent is one of the typical examples. As solutions for the problem in the aspect of fishery management, fisheries policy is need of approach to industrial organization. For instance, Contestable market theory is one of the good theoretical background, it mean that market is able to free entry and free exit. Thus, fisheries management carry out policies such as revitalization of the used market of capital goods in fisheries, organize of the self-regulatory management group. Conclusively, as the exploiters and managers, fishers and the government should put emphasis on improving economic efficiency so that fishery would grow as an industry that contributes to the increase of social welfare, and the change to that direction will be the only way for our fisheries to preserve its importance.

Demand Response Impact on Market Operator's Revenue and Load Profile of a Grid Connected with Wind Power Plants

  • Economic properties of an integrated wind power plant (WPP) and the demand response (DR) programs in the sample electricity market are studied. Time of use (TOU) and direct load control (DLC) are two of the DR programs that are applied in the system. The influences of these methods and the incentive payments by market operator's (MOs) with variable elasticity are studied. It is observed that DR with TOU and DLC programs together yields better revenue and energy saving for MOs.

  • In this paper, we introduced a POS(Point of Sale) system for a wallpaper company. We designed the database schema for the POS system, and proposed various application areas of the POS system. Especially, we discussed such application areas as inventory control, marketing, product development, and distribution channel. The quality of product management is enhanced by precise ABC inventory control and safety stock control. Marketing strategies can be more precisely established, and their effects can be measured. The development time can be shortened and new products can be developed based on the real market demands. Distributors can improve their management quality using precise sales data.

  • Japanese manufacturers have seen the market swing from a sellers' market to a buyers' market by dint of changes in the economic environment. Therefore, they have found the need to establish a production system in which products can be manufactured at the speed at which they are being sold and which achieve a competitive advantage. FA activity in Japan today has begun to change from local automation to totally integrated automation. This paper introduces a bottom to top based JIT-FA system and describes how to approach and introduce a CIM supported by human based systems. A fully automated CIM system is not only flexible but also rigid. However we can realize a flexible production line system by partially introducing human based systems including a decision support system.
