탄소중립을 위한 친환경선박 인증제도의 개선방향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement for Greenship Certification Scheme to Achieve Net-Zero )

  • Total shipping accounts for 2.9 % of the annual average percentage of global anthropogenic GHG emissions. The International Maritime Organization implements EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index), Energy Efficiency eXisting-ship Index (EEXI), and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) as regulatory frameworks for shipping decarbonization. The Republic of Korea has enforced the Act on Development and Popularization of Greenship from 2020 and publicly announced the 1st national plan which was named 『2030 Greenship-K Promotion Strategy』 for the activation of a greenship market. The Greenship Certification Scheme is going on for the sustainability of Korean shipbuilding and shipping industries, to secure clean maritime environments, as well as to contribute to the national economy. Greenship Certification guarantees the credit of such eco-friendly technologies and products for shipping. The certification is going to be the basis of industrial competitiveness in coastal and international shipping. This study investigates an existing certification process, identifies the limitations, and proposes the process improved with several case studies. The improved certification scheme may have rationality for Net-zero with regard to climate alignment.

  • 국내에 수입되어 판매되는 해외식품 수입액은 매년 급증하는 추세이며, 원재료를 수입하여 가공하는 것을 포함하면 규모는 더 클 것으로 예상된다. 수입 농수산물 완제품에 대한 화물신고 시 원재료에 대한 원산지는 표기되나, 원재료에 대한 검사 정보는 아직 미흡한 편이다. 이에 농수산물 제품 구매 시 원재료 또는 제품에 남아 있는 방사능 존재 여부, 생산 이력 관리 등에 대한 우려가 커지고 있다. 국내 수입농수산물의 위해식품정보는 관리되고 있으나, 미생물, 잔류농약, 식품첨가물, 알레르기 성분 등 주로 글로벌 이슈가 되는 위해요소들이 대부분이다. 그러므로 원재료의 생산이력 및 검사정보의 체계적인 관리를 위해서는 전체 운송과정에서의 물류 주체들 간 관련 데이터의 공유와 활용도 제고를 위한 아키텍처, 비즈니스 모델 등에 대한 표준화가 필요하다고 판단된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 수입농수산물 운송 중 상태 추적을 위해 단계별 정보를 수집, 가공, 처리하기 위한 아키텍처를 설계하고, 비즈니스 프로세스 간에 발생하는 업무 흐름을 정의하였다. 또한 도출한 데이터 엘리먼트로 정보 모델을 정의하고 UBL 기반의 XML 스키마를 정의하였다. 제안한 표준 모델을 통해 물류 주체 간 정보 유통 및 공유가 용이할 것이며, 실시간 관리가 필요한 농수산물 운송에 대한 가시성, 신뢰성, 안전성 및 신선도 체계 수립이 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

세계 관상어산업의 경쟁력 분석을 통한 우리나라 관상어산업의 육성 방향 (Fostering direction of the Ornamental Fish Industry in Korea through a competitive analysis of International Ornamental Fish Industry)

  • This research examined a task to foster into the export industry, through analyzing the competitiveness of the ornamental fish industry and identifying the position of Korea's ornamental industry in the world. Ornamental fish in Korea holds the world's leading aquaculture technology, but products are limited to a few species, lacking competitive products. In the case of aquarium supplies, the Korean technology level is receiving relatively positive marks in the global market, but ornamental fish products are lagging behind the global trend. In other words, Korea's ornamental fish industry has the overall technical foundation, but lacks differentiation in the global market. Meanwhile, Korea's market share of world trade market in fishery products is minimal. Growth was also analyzed not high compared to other countries. Various trade competitiveness index results rated very low in competitiveness, but it is hard to compare Korea with other countries which have already built a strong foundation in the ornamental fish industry. Therefore, for the mid to long term Korea should adapt a "Choice and concentration" strategy and focus on the production of ornamental fish and aquarium supplies, which will enable Korea to become differentiated in the global market and capture the world exports.

대형선망어업의 생산력 재편과 경영 개선 과제 (The Study on the Reorganization of the Large Purse Seine Fisheries in Korea)

  • The aims of this study are to examine urgent problems for reorganization into future-proof large purse seine fisheries in order to positively cope with rapidly changing domestic and foreign fisheries circumstances. First, this paper provides current situations of the large purse seine fisheries. The current situations of it are composed of fisheries influence such as vessel number, vessel power, and fisher number, use of resource and fishing places, and changes in products and sales of species caught by the large purse seine. Secondly, this paper reviews current problems of the large purse seine fisheries including cost reduction and increase of value added. Thirdly, this paper suggests basic development direction and countermeasures for strengthening competitiveness of the large purse seine fisheries. In conclusion, urgent problems of the larger purse seine fisheries can be summarized as inefficiency of distribution structures and retarded landing system and facilities as well as the worse of profitability according to shrink of fishing places, reduction of products, lack of workers, and increase in oil price. To solve the urgent problems, the large purse seine fisheries should be changed into an industry with low cost and high efficiency, and also need to introduce of new production system, strengthen autonomous management of natural resource, and increase in value added to products.

Corrosion Characteristics of Welding Zones Welded with 1.25Cr-0.5 Mo Filler Metal to Forged Steel for Piston Crown Material

  • A heavy oil of low quality has been mainly used in the diesel engine of the merchant ship as the oil price has been significantly jumped for several years. Thus, a combustion chamber of the engine has been often exposed to severely corrosive environment more and more because temperature of the exhaust gas of the combustion chamber has been getting higher and higher with increasing of using the heavy oil of low quality. As a result, wear and corrosion of the engine parts such as exhaust valve, piston crown and cylinder head surrounded with combustion chamber are more serious compared to the other parts of the engine. Therefore, an optimum repair welding for these engine parts is very important to prolong their lifetime in a economical point of view. In this study, 1.25Cr-0.5Mo filler metal was welded with SMAW method in the forged steel which would be generally used with piston crown material. And the corrosion properties of weld metal, heat affected and base metal zones were investigated using electrochemical methods such as measurement of corrosion potential, anodic polarization curves, cyclic voltammogram and impedance etc. in 35% $H_2SO_4$ solution. The weld metal and base metal zones exhibited the highest and lowest values of hardness respectively. And, the corrosion resistance of the heat affected and weld metal zones was also increased than that of the base metal zone. Furthermore, it appeared that the corrosive products with red color and local corrosion like as a pitting corrosion were more frequently observed on the surface of the base metal zone compared to the heat affected and weld metal zones. Consequently, it is suggested that the mechanical and corrosion characteristics of the piston crown can be predominantly improved by repair welding method using the 1.25Cr-0.5Mo electrode.

한-에콰도르를 중심으로 한 아시아-남미 직항물류망 연구 (A Study on Direct Logistics Lines between Asia and South America through Korea and Ecuador)

  • 우리나라와 중국을 비롯한 아시아권과 브라질 칠레 등 남미 간 무역거래량이 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 그 주요 품목은 농수산물, 공산품, 광물 등 원자재를 비롯하여 매우 다변화 되고 있는 추세에 있다. 이에 따른 국제물류수단은 주로 항공 및 컨테이너 라이너에 의존하고 있으나 대부분 여러 기항지를 경유하고 있으므로 소요시간이 많이 길고 환적 등 다소 복잡한 수송루트를 거쳐야 하는 애로사항이 있어 화주들이 물류비절감에 애로를 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 태평양을 마주하며 대권항법에 따라 지리적으로 인접하고 특히 동북아시아와 남미의 허브로 기능할 수 있는 한국과 에콰도르의 주요 항만을 이용한 두 지역 간의 직항물류망을 개설함으로써 물류에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보고자 한다.

부산 태종대 굴통머리 미역(Undaria pinnatifida)의 화학적 특성 및 항산화 효과 (Chemical Characteristics and Antioxidant Effects of Sea Mustard Undaria pinnatifida from the Gultongmeori Area, Taejongdae, Busan)

  • We investigated the nutritional characteristics and antioxidant effects of sea mustard Undaria pinnatifida fractions from Gultongmeori in Taejongdae, Youngdo, Busan. Based on dry weight, the moisture, crude protein, crude lipid, crude ash, and crude fiber contents were 34.98%, 11.55%, 0.43%, 17.82%, and 3.45%, respectively. To evaluate the antioxidant effect, we used radical scavenging (DPPH and ABTS), reactive oxygen species (ROS) production measurement, and DNA oxidation assays. Total flavonoid and phenol contents were higher in the n-hexane fraction than in other fractions. The n-hexane fraction was more effective at scavenging free radicals than other fractions as assessed using DPPH and ABTS assays (P<0.05). The ROS production assay showed that all sea mustard fractions decreased H2O2 induced cellular ROS production compared to that seen in the control (P<0.05); however, the n-hexane fraction reduced cellular ROS production to a greater extent than the other fractions. Furthermore, the n-hexane fraction from Gultongmeori significantly inhibited genomic DNA oxidation. These results indicate that the antioxidant effect of sea mustard is associated with its high flavonoid and phenol content. This study proposes that processed food products supplemented with sea mustard can be developed as functional foods to promote health in the local population.

Synthesis of a new class of carbon nanomaterials by solution plasma processing for use as air cathodes in Li-Air batteries

  • Li-air batteries have a promising future for because of their high energy density, which could theoretically be equal to that of gasoline. However, substantial Li-air cell performance limitations exist, which are related to the air cathode. The cell discharge products are deposited on the surfaces of the porous carbon materials in the air electrode, which blocks oxygen from diffusing to the reaction sites. Hence, the real capacity of a Li-air battery is determined by the carbon air electrode, especially by the pore volume available for the deposition of the discharged products. In this study, a simple and fast method is reported for the large-scale synthesis of carbon nanoballs (CNBs) consisting of a highly mesoporous structure for Li-air battery cathodes. The CNBs were synthesized by the solution plasma process from benzene solution, without the need for a graphite electrode for carbon growth. The CNBs so formed were then annealed to improve their electrical conductivity. Structural characterization revealed that the CNBs exhibited both an pore structure and high conductivity.

자외선 형광반응을 이용한 오폐수 검출장치 개발 (Development of a Wastewater Detection System using UV Fluorescence Reaction)

  • Oil-related products have provided many benefits to humanity, but are significant contributors to environmental pollution. As per the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements, in the future, all ships must be equipped with filtering equipment and 5ppm bilge alarms that can help remove or reduce oil products during wastewater treatment. In this study, a UV fluorescence measurement system that can detect the oil components in wastewater containing both water and oil was developed. When an excitation wavelength of 254nm was used to irradiate the wastewater, the amount of UV at a divergent wavelength of 360nm was measured to measure the contamination. Based on the measurement, it was concluded that this system is suitable for use as the 5ppm bilge alarm proposed by IMO.
