서남해 주요 도서 연안 어장 침적쓰레기의 분포 실태 조사 및 수거 처리 비용 추정 (Distribution Characteristics and Cost Estimation of Collection and Treatment of Deposited Marine Debris in Coastal Fisheries around the Southwestern Islands of Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 2007년도에 주요 연안 어장에서 이루어진 해저침적쓰레기 분포 조사 지역 중 왕등도를 포함한 5개 어장에서의 침적쓰레기 조사 결과와 그 수거처리 비용 추정 결과에 대해 소개한다. 주요 대상 해역의 해저면 특성에 따라 침적쓰레기 인양에 적합한 인양틀의 종류를 선택하여 사용하였으며, 관계자들의 자문을 얻어 설정한 조사 대상 어장 구역에 대하여 인양 조사 횟수와 수거된 총 쓰레기량을 고려한 전체 해저 침적쓰레기량을 추산하였다. 그 결과 왕등도 인근 해역에 대해 약 686 $kg/km^2$의 침적쓰레기량을 구할 수 있었다. 각 구역에서의 쓰레기 추정량에 근거하여 수거 및 운반에 필요한 적정 선단 규모를 가정하고, 처리에 이르기까지 소요되는 장비, 인건비 등 제반 경비를 계산한 결과 왕등도의 경우 총 247톤의 추정 해양 침적쓰레기에 대하여 약 39억원의 수거 및 처리 비용을 도출하였다.

경기만의 해사채취에 의한 생물군집 구조변동 (The Fluctuation of Biological Communities as an Effect of Marine Sand Mining in the Gyeonggi Bay)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of large scale marine sand mining on the marine ecological community. For the study, four stations along the coast were selected and monitored in 1998 and 2001 at mining areas and non-mining areas about the Gyeonggi Bay. The result revealed that in 1998, 9 species of fishes, 16 species of crustaceans, and 6 species of mollusks were collected where as in 2001, 11 species of fishes, 5 species of crustaceans, and 2 species of mollusks were collected, uncovering the fact that fishes have diversified while crustaceans and mollusks have reduced on a grand scale. Also, there were two key characteristics regarding the changes of biological communities in mining and nonmining areas. The first was the dwindling of crustaceans inhabiting the sand area. This outcome may be accounted for by the facts that physical removal of seabed sediments and re-sediment due to expansion of floating particles cause direct influence on the ocean floor ecosystem and have continuous effect on the communities of crustaceans which feed on them. Secondly, the newly arrived species and their population during spring and summer seasons have increased in the non-mining areas and have decreased in the mining area. It can be concluded that highly nomadic fish species migrate toward areas with less disturbance or destruction of ecosystem from marine sand mining, and consequently, the communities of fishes change in the sea area. Setting aside the characteristics of the investigated sea areas where the arriving conditions of species vary by seasons, the clear differences of population of organisms in those areas are due to environmental alterations owing to the marine sand mining ; if those large-scale marine sand mining activities continue in the Gyeonggi Bay, their effects on biological communities in the areas will only grow.

선박용 디젤기관의 지능적인 속도제어시스템 (An intelligent Speed Control System for Marine Diesel Engine)

  • The purpose of this study is to design the intelligent speed control system for marine diesel engine by combining the Model Matching Method and the Nominal Model Tracking Method. Recently for the speed control of a diesel engine some methods using the advanced control techniques such as LQ control Fuzzy control or H$\infty$ control etc. have been reported. However most of speed controllers of a marine diesel engine developed are still using the PID control algorithm But the performance of a marine diesel engine depends highly on the parameter setting of the PID controllers. The authors proposed already a new method to tune efficiently the PID parameters by the Model Mathcing Method typically taking a marine diesel engine as a non-oscillatory second-order system. It was confirmed that the previously proposed method is superior to Ziegler & Nichols's method through simulations under the assumption that the parameters of a diesel engine are exactly known. But actually it is very difficult to find out the exact model of the diesel engine. Therefore when the model and the actual diesel engine are unmatched as an alternative to enhance the speed control characteristics this paper proposes a Model Refernce Adaptive Speed Control system of a diesel engine in which PID control system for the model of a diesel engine is adopted as the nominal model and a Fuzzy controller is adopted as the adaptive controller, And in the nominal model parameters of a diesel engine are adjusted using the Model Matching Method. it is confirmed that the proposed method gives better performance than the case of using only Model Matching Method through the analysis of the characteristics of indicial responses.

서해 해양 침적폐기물의 성상별 분포 특성 연구 (A Study on the Distributional Characteristics to Properties of Marine Submerged Wastes in the West Sea of Korea)

  • 해양폐기물은 위치에 따라서 해안폐기물, 부유폐기물, 침적폐기물로 분류한다. 환경 문제에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 눈에 보이는 쓰레기들 외에 해양침적쓰레기에 대한 관리 및 수거가 필요하다. 우리나라 삼면의 바다 중 서해의 해양침적폐기물 종류별 분포 특성을 파악한 연구이다. 연구를 통해 폐합성수지, 고철, 폐타이어, 기타 순으로 많은 양이 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 서해 바다의 폐합성수지 심각성에 대해 보여주는 결과로 이로 인해 머지않아 해양생태계 뿐만 아니라 우리의 삶에도 막대한 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인다. 본 연구를 통하여 쉽게 알지 못하는 서해 침적쓰레기의 종류와 분포에 대해 인식하게 되고, 향후 수거활동에 도움이 되는 기초연구 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

신경망 회로 제어기를 이용한 선박 엔진 발전기의 여자기 제어 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on the Performance Improvement of Marine Engine Generator Exciter Control using Neural Network Controller)

  • 선박 발전기의 여자기는 출력 단자 전압을 일정하게 유지하기 위하여 여자전류 제어를 통해 자속을 조정한다. 여자기 내부에 있는 전압제어기는 통상적으로 비례 적분 제어방식이 사용되는데 게인과 시정수에 의해 결정되는 응답 특성은 적절치 못한 설정값에 의해 원하지 않는 출력을 내며 이로 인해 선내 전력의 품질과 안정성을 떨어뜨릴 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE에서 제공하는 AC4A 타입의 여자기 모델을 통해 얻을 수 있는 안정적인 입출력 데이터를 활용하여 신경망 회로를 학습시킨 후 기존의 비례 적분 제어방식의 전압제어기를 학습된 신경망 회로 제어기로 대체하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 그 결과 기존 대비 최대 9.63%까지 오버슈팅이 개선되었으며, 안정적인 응답 특성에 대한 우수성을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the research paradigm and to explore the characteristics and limitations of the representative evaluation models belonging to each paradigm. The research paradigm is Positivism, Interpretivism, Critical Theory, and Postmodernism. The evaluation models that represent each paradigm include Objective-oriented evaluation model, Forth generation evaluation model, Empowerment evaluation model, Connoisseurship & Criticism model. The characteristics of each evaluation model reflects the characteristics of their own research paradigm.

  • Experimental studies were performed to improve the THC emission characteristics by optimizing the flow in the exhaust manifold and CCC in a SI engine. For this purpose the flow characteristics in the exhaust manifold and CCC were measured by using LDV technique under various engine conditions, Referring to these data a new type exhaust manifold was designed to improve the cold-start emission characteristics and the response characteristics of {{{{ OMICRON _2}}}} sensor by optimizing the flow pattern and reducing the thermal inertia of the exhaust manifold system. It was found through the vehicle emission tests that the emission characteristics of THC of the new type exhaust manifold was improved by 12% through the optimizing the flow pattern in the exhaust manifold.

  • The flow and heat transfer characteristics at the surface of two-dimensional protruding heated blocks using confined impingement multiple slot jets were computationally investigated Numerical predictions were made for round-edged nozzles at several nozzle-to-target plate spacings and jet-to-jet distances, with turbulent jet Reynolds numbers ranging from 2000 to 7800. The commercial finite-volume code FLUENT was used to solve the heat transfer characteristics and flow fields using a RNG $\textsc{k}-\varepsilon$ model. The computed heat transfer characteristics at the surface of heated blocks were in good qualitative agreement with previous experimental data The results of heat transfer characteristics on the surface of protruding heated blocks are important considerations in electronics Packaging design.

  • In this paper, the static and dynamic characteristics in the sensor tube of a mass flow controller(MFC) were studied by experiments. In the sensor tube of MFC. the difference of temperature between inlet and outlet was necessary for calculating the mass flow rate. Therefore, the relations among flow rate, heat generated by heating wire. and sensor location were investigated to find optimized condition. Finally, the relation between sensor voltage through analog digital conversion(ADC) and flow rate in the sensor tube can be represented. Based on this study, static and dynamic characteristics of sensor tube can be used for design of mass flow controller.

  • Industrial agitators are used in various industrial fields where they are necessary to intimately mix two reactants in a short period of time. However, despite their widespread use, complex unsteady flow characteristics of industrial agitators are not systematically investigated. The present study alms for clarify unsteady flow characteristics induced by various impellers in a tank. Impellers are pitched blade turbine(PBT) types, Screw type and Rushton turbine type. In this study flow characteristics of the impeller using CFD. The rotating speed of impellers fixed about 100RPM. These three types of Impeller show that typical flow characteristics of axial turbine and suitable for mixing powder
