XML-GDM을 기반으로 한 UML 클래스 다이어그램으로 사상을 위한 XML문서와 질의의 객체 모델링 (Object Modeling for Mapping from XML Document and Query to UML Class Diagram based on XML-GDM)

  • 최근 다양한 분야에서 폭넓게 활용되고 있는 XML 문서는 유연하고도 개방적인 특성으로 인해 정보교환이나 전송을 위한 수단으로 널리 이용되고 있다. 한편 XML 문서를 위한 시각적, 직관적 질의 언어인 XML-GL은 질의에 대한 의미와 결과 문서의 구조를 시각적으로 표현할 수 있기 때문에 XML 문서에 대한 구조 검색과 정보의 공유가 용이하다. 그리고 UML은 정해진 표기법과 다양한 다이어그램을 이용하여 객체지향 분석과 설계를 위한 도구로 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 XML-GL의 데이터 모델인 XML-GDM을 기반으로 표현된 XML 문서를 UML 클래스 다이어그램으로 사상하기 위한 새로운 객체 모델링 방안을 제안한다. 이를 통해서 XML 문서를 직관적인 방법으로 객체지향데이터로 변환하고 저장/관리할 수 있다. 또한 객체지향 검색방법을 적용하면 보다 효율적으로 XML 문서를 검색할 수가 있다.

Concrete Reinforcement Modeling with IFC for Automated Rebar Fabrication

  • Automated rebar fabrication, which requires effective information exchange between model designers and fabricators, has brought the integration and interoperability of data from different sources to the notice of both academics and industry practitioners. Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) was one of the most commonly used data formats to represent the semantic information of prefabricated components in buildings, whereas the data format utilized by rebar fabrication machine is BundesVereinigung der Bausoftware (BVBS), which is a numerical data structure exchanging reinforcement information through ASCII encoded files. Seamless transformation between IFC and BVBS empowers the automated rebar fabrication and improve the construction productivity. In order to improve data interoperability between IFC and BVBS, this study presents an IFC extension based on the attributes required by automated rebar fabrication machines with the help of Information Delivery Manual (IDM) and Model View Definition (MVD). IDM is applied to describe and display the information needed for the design, construction and operation of projects, whereas MVD is a subset of IFC schema used to describe the automated rebar fabrication workflow. Firstly, with a rich pool of vocabularies practitioners, OmniClass is used in information exchange between IFC and BVBS, providing a hierarchy classification structure for reinforcing elements. Then, using International Framework for Dictionaries (IFD), the usage of each attribute is defined in a more consistent manner to assist the data mapping process. Besides, in order to address missing information within automated fabrication process, a schematic data mapping diagram has been made to deliver IFC information from BIM models to BVBS format for better data interoperability among different software agents. A case study based on the data mapping will be presented to demonstrate the proposed IFC extension and how it could assist/facilitate the information management.

  • It is well known that multipoint and computerized intraoperative mapping systems improve the results of surgery for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and show tremendous potential for opening an entirely new era of surgical intervention for the more common and lethal types of supraventricular tachyarrhythmias such as atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation. In addition, the ability to map and ablate the sometimes fleeting automatic atrial tachycardia is greatly enhanced by computerized mapping systems. In this study, we have developed 64 channel computerized data analysis system using microcomputer (Macintosh IIx) for basic research of electrophysiology and electrical propagation. The bipolar electrogram information is acquired from 64 cardiac sites simultaneously at a sampling rate of 1ksamples/sec with continuous and total data storage of up to 30 seconds. When the reference electrogram is selected and reference point is picked up, delay time from the reference point in displayed on two dimensional diagram of the heart. System design permits easy expansion to almost 256 simultaneous sites, This system is expected to enable us to study pathophysiology of cardiac arrhythmia and to improve the results of diagnosis and surgical treatment for cardiac arrhythmia.

  • New trends such as electronic commerce, virtual organizations, e-business applications, etc. increase the dependence of production management on information software systems and contribute to the needs for global, distributed object systems. This paper presents a component based approach for production management systems under the multi-tier distributed information system architecture using UML(Unified Modeling Language), CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and XML(eXtensible Markup Language) technologies, and propose rules for mapping a UML class diagram to a XML DTD (Document Type Definition). And we adapt it to the prototype system implementation. The components are implemented by CORBA and we use XML messages for the information exchange between components.

New or improved algorithms the mapping and establishing correspondence of grid points and elements, the camera calibration, and the subpixel measurement of grid points, are implemented. As an application of the present system the surface-strains of deformed blanks in the limitting dome height test, the square cup deep-drawing and punch stretching to obtain the forming limit diagram are measured. The results are compared with those obtained by conventional manual methods.

128채널 심장전기도 신호의 영상화 (The imaging of 128 channels cardiac activation signal)

  • 본 연구에서는 128채널 3차원 심장전기도 시스템의 영상화를 PC 기P반에서 구현하였다. 데이터를 받는 시간을 제외하더라도 실제적으로 구간을 설정하고 분석하는 시간은 1분도 걸리지 않아 짧은 시간 내에 분석해야 하는 심장 수술시 매우 유용함을 알 수 있었다. 특히 PC 기반으로 구현되었기 때문에 이동은 물론 데이터 보관이 용이하다. 또한 수술후에도 언제든지 데이터를 불러내어 분석 할 수 있으며 원하는 결과를 쉽게 확인할 수 있다.

대형디젤엔진의 열적 피로안전도 분석을 위한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis of Thermal Fatigue Safety for a Heavy-Duty Diesel Engine)

  • Finite element analysis was performed to analyze structural safety of a new heavy-duty direct injection diesel engine. A half section of the in-line 6-cylinder engine was selected as a computational domain. A mapping method was used to project heat transfer coefficients from CFD results of engine coolant flow onto the FE model. The accurate setting of thermal boundary condition on the FE model was expected to result in improved prediction of temperature, cylinder bore distortion, and stresses. Characteristics of high cycle fatigue were investigated by assuming the engine was operated under the following five loading conditions repeatedly; assembly force, assembly force with thermal loading, alternating maximum gas pressure loading at each cylinder combined with assembly force and thermal loading. Distribution of fatigue safety factor was calculated by using it Haigh diagram in which the maximum and the minimum stresses were selected from the five loading cases.

Seawater ballast tank 환경에서 저합금강의 내식성에 미치는 합금원소의 영향 (Effects of Alloying Elements on Corrosion Resistance of Low Alloyed Steels in a Seawater Ballast Tank Environment)

  • Co-application of organic coating and cathodic protection has not provided enough durability to low-alloyed steels inseawater ballast tank (SBT) environments. An attempt has made to study the effect of alloy elements (Al, Cr, Cu, Mo, Ni, Si, W) on general and localized corrosion resistance of steels as basic research to develop new low-allowed steels resistive to corrosion in SBT environments. For this study, we measured the corrosion rate by the weigh loss method after periodic immersion in synthetic seawater at $60^{\circ}C$, evaluated the localized corrosion resistance by an immersion test in concentrated chloride solution with the critical pH depending on the alloy element (Fe, Cr, Al, Ni), determined the permeability of chloride ion across the rust layer by measuring the membrane potential, and finally, we analyzed the rust layer by EPMA mapping and compared the result with the E-pH diagram calculated in the study. The immersion test of up to 55 days in the synthetic seawater showed that chromium, aluminium, and nickel are beneficial but the other elements are detrimental to corrosion resistance. Among the beneficial elements, chromium and aluminium effectively decreased the corrosion rate of the steels during the initial immersion, while nickel effectively decreased the corrosion rate in a longer than 30-day immersion. The low corrosion rate of Cr- or Al-alloyed steel in the initial period was due to the formation of $Cr_2FeO_4$ or $Al_2FeO_4$, respectively -the predicted oxide in the E-pH diagram- which is known as a more protective oxide than $Fe_3O_4$. The increased corrosion rate of Cr-alloyed steels with alonger than 30-day exposure was due to low localized corrosion resistance, which is explained bythe effect of the alloying element on a critical pH. In the meantime, the low corrosion rate of Ni-alloyed steel with a longer than 30-day exposure wasdue to an Ni enriched layer containing $Fe_2NiO_4$, the predicted oxide in the E-pH diagram. Finally, the measurement of the membrane potential depending on the alloying element showed that a lower permeability of chloride ion does not always result in higher corrosion resistance in seawater.

전파 매개변수 매핑을 통한 광 증폭 전송시스템의 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Optical Amplified Transmission System Using Propagation Parameter Mapping)

  • 본 논문에서는 장거리 광 전송로에 대한 시뮬레이션을 효과적으로 빨리 할 수 있는 전파 매개변수 매핑 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 많은 광섬유 섹션들과 증폭기들로 구성된 긴 전송로를, 매핑된 전파 매개변수를 갖는 단 하나의 광섬유 섹션의 전송로로 모델링 하는 것이다. 그리고, 본래의 전송로 대신 모델링된 전송로를 사용하여 시뮬레이션을 하고 성능을 분석한다. 그것의 성능을 eye diagram, 정상 시뮬레이션과 제안된 매핑 방법에 의한 eye-opening 들의 차이, 시뮬레이션 시간의 감소 정도를 통해 확인한다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 이 방법은 정상 시뮬레이션과 비교할 때 3% 이내의 eye-opening 차이를 가질 만큼 광 신호의 전파특성을 정확하게 서술하고 시뮬레이션 시간은 광섬유 섹션의 수가 20일 때 정상 시뮬레이션의 34.72%로 감소시켜 주는 것을 확인하였다.
