3차원 지형모델링에 의한 경관정보 분석과 Web GIS 구현 (Analysis of Landscape Information and Web GIS Implementation of Using 3D Topographic Modeling)

  • 본 연구에서는 연구지역을 대상으로 항공사진과 수치지형도를 이용하여 3차원 지형 모델링을 제작하였고 이를 이용하여 가시권 분석과 동아대학교에 대한 Web GIS를 구현하였다. 연구지역은 부산광역시 사하구 하단동 일대를 지정하였으며, 축척 1:20,000의 항공사진과 축척 1:5,000의 수치지형도를 사용하였다. 항공사진은 GCP선정과 영상정합을 통하여 보정된 영상을 추출하고 영상재배열 과정과 정밀미분편위수정을 거쳐 최종 정사보정된 영상을 제작하였다. 그리고 ArcView 프로그램을 이용하여 수치지형도에서 DEM을 생성하였고, 도로 레이어와 건물 레이어를 추출하여 3차원 지형 모델링을 제작함과 동시에 동아대학교에 대한 Web GIS를 구현하였다.

On-line Motion Planner for Multi-Agents based on Real-Time Collision Prognosis

  • In this paper, we propose a novel approach to decentralized motion planning and conflict-resolution for multiple mobile agents working in an environment with unexpected moving obstacles. Our proposed motion planner has two characteristics. One is a real-time collision prognosis based on modified collision map. Collision map is a famous centralized motion planner with low computation load, and the collision prognosis hands over these characteristics. And the collision prognosis is based on current robots status, maximum robot speeds, maximum robot accelerations, and path information produced from off-line path planning procedure, so it is applicable to motion planner for multiple agents in a dynamic environment. The other characteristic is that motion controller architecture is based on potential field method, which is capable of integrating robot guidance to the goals with collision avoidance. For the architecture, we define virtual obstacles making delay time for collision avoidance from the real-time collision prognosis. Finally the results obtained from realistic simulation of a multi-robot environment with unknown moving obstacles demonstrate safety and efficiency of the proposed method.

  • Due to the increasing use of very large databases, mining useful information and implicit knowledge from databases is evolving. However, most conventional data mining algorithms identify the relationship among features using binary values (TRUE/FALSE or 0/1) and find simple If-THEN rules at a single concept level. Therefore, implicit knowledge and causal relationships among features are commonly seen in real-world database and applications. In this paper, we thus introduce the mechanism of mining fuzzy association rules and constructing causal knowledge base form database. Acausal knowledge base construction algorithm based on Fuzzy Cognitive Map(FCM) and Srikant and Agrawal's association rule extraction method were proposed for extracting implicit causal knowledge from database. Fuzzy association rules are well suited for the thinking of human subjects and will help to increase the flexibility for supporting users in making decisions or designing the fuzzy systems. It integrates fuzzy set concept and causal knowledge-based data mining technologies to achieve this purpose. The proposed mechanism consists of three phases: First, adaptation of the fuzzy membership function to the database. Second, extraction of the fuzzy association rules using fuzzy input values. Third, building the causal knowledge base. A credit example is presented to illustrate a detailed process for finding the fuzzy association rules from a specified database, demonstration the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Landslide Susceptibility Mapping for 2015 Earthquake Region of Sindhupalchowk, Nepal using Frequency Ratio

  • Globally, landslides triggered by natural or human activities have resulted in enormous damage to both property and life. Recent climatic changes and anthropogenic activities have increased the number of occurrence of these disasters. Despite many researches, there is no standard method that can produce reliable prediction. This article discusses the process of landslide susceptibility mapping using various methods in current literatures and applies the FR (Frequency Ratio) method to develop a susceptibility map for the 2015 earthquake region of Sindhupalchowk, Nepal. The complete mapping process describes importance of selection of area, and controlling factors, widespread techniques of modelling and accuracy assessment tools. The FR derived for various controlling factors available were calculated using pre- and post- earthquake landslide events in the study area and the ratio was used to develop susceptibility map. Understanding the process could help in better future application process and producing better accuracy results. And the resulting map is valuable for the local general and authorities for prevention and decision making tasks for landslide disasters.

  • 토양침식은 산악지역에서 산림조성에 중요한 문제를 일으키며 비옥한 토양을 침식시켜 식생의 성장을 저해시키며 인도에서 수집한 자료와 GIS를 이용하여 인도의 서부산맥 모야유역의 토양침식을 분석하였다. 주제도의 레이어로 산림, 지형경사, 배수 등에 대한 자료가 사용되었으며 토양침식 지도분석에서 48%의 지역이 중간정도의 침식을 보였다. 또한 35%지역은 높은 침식을 보였으며 가장 높은 침식은 식생지역의 7%를 차지하였다. 이러한 토양침식 분석도는 유역에서의 토양침식을 방지하기 위한 대책을 수립하는데 주요한 자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study was performed to provide medical service providers with useful information for their market competitiveness and decision making. It is regarding positioning map and repositioning map strategy to enforce market competitiveness through bench marking of a specific hospital which has been relatively underestimated in the market. With AHP and biplot analyses for this study, we could identify priority of properties that medical service consumers consider when they choose a university hospital and market competitiveness of alternative university hospitals. It is expected that the study of repositioning strategy to Strengthening Market Competitiveness will provide efficient problem solving method to allocation restricted resources by repositioning the specific university hospital through benchmarking with evaluation factors of the most market competitiveness university hospital. When Inje University Paik Hospital was benchmarked and repositioned, the share of Paik hospital increased and there was only 3.1% difference from Dongah Dong-A University Hospital, which occupied the first place in market competitiveness. Such the results of this study may suggestion management strategies to provide efficient problem solving methods when companies responding to rapidly changing management environments allocation restricted resources.

  • This paper discusses a multi-dimensional analysis for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). For this, We propose a decision-making methodology which employs three analysis models. The first model is a three-dimension positioning map to derive a strategy which achieves the Process Value Line (PVL). The second model is the web-shape analysis model to visibly understand the individual based on the customer CSI (Customer Satisfactory Index) data. The third model which supports the web-shape analysis model, is the relative satisfactory analysis model. It considers a satisfaction level after purchasing against before purchasing. Then we perform overall analysis based on the three analysis models to provide marketing strategies to decision makers.

항만계획에 있어서 등대부지측량의 고찰 (Consideration of Surveying the Site for Lighthouse in Harbor Plan)

  • Harbor design and construction plan in Korea becomes the most hot issue both in the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office and in the related port industries. Production of the plane and cross section maps together with the profile map for harbor project is done firstly and is important in all procedure because it is the most basic datum in counting the constructional expense for determination of the area and capacity. As the expense assigned on surveying part among the total expenses of harbor planning and construction in Korea is very small, it is difficult to make exact maps. Moveover, because the method used to make such maps is mostly traditional surveying such as plane table surveying , offset surveying, stadia surveying and level surveying, etc, it is difficult to get precise three dimensional maps. Therefore, for making more precise map in the harbor project, we have to use the newest surveying equipment. This study discusses the method of old surveying and recent surveying used for the three dimensional map of the site for lighthouse which gives navigational aids for the in-and out-bound ships. The authors are proposing a method for more precise three dimensional positioning in this study.

Development of a Sustainable Community-based Hazard Map Creation Support System for Traditional Towns with Local Heritage

  • This paper describes design and development of a system that supports continuous creation of hazard maps by local residents in their daily life. We made an interview survey to design our system in a model traditional town in Saga, Japan. The results show that in spite of continuous efforts, many practical problems remain and residents feel unsafe. Based on these results, we designed and developed a unique ICT-based support system which contributes to community-based disaster prevention/reduction. The continuous resident participation and posting design are core concept for our sustainable community-based approach. Our system continues to support making a hazard map by integrating the community-based hazard information. Local residents register information about the spot (disaster types, a risk level, a photograph, comments, positional information) that can be dangerous in case of disaster. We have evaluated the usefulness and possibilities of our prototype system implemented as an iOS application.

  • As the degree of economic development of society increases, the maintenance issues on the existing social overhead capital becomes essential. Accordingly, the adaptation of the concept of Level of service in highway maintenance is indispensable. It is also crucial to manage and perform the service level such as road assets to provide universal services to users. In this regards, the purpose of this study is to improve the maintenance service rating model and to focus on the assessment items and weights among the improvements. Particularly, in determining weights, an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is performed based on the survey response results. After then, this study conducts unsupervised neural network models such as Self-Organizing Map (SOM) and Davies-Bouldin (DB) Index to divide proper sub-groups and determine priorities. This paper identifies similar cases by grouping the results of the responses based on the similarity of the survey responses. This can effectively support decision making in general situations where many evaluation factors need to be considered at once, resulting in reasonable policy decisions. It is the process of using advanced technology to find optimized management methods for maintenance.
