This paper proposes a dynamic magnetic field emulator (DMFE), which can electrically emulate information for the magnetic stripes of most widely used credit cards. Payment transactions with most common credit cards are performed by reading the card's information, encoded in magnetic stripes, using the reader head of a point-of-sale (POS) system. A stripe-type permanent magnet is attached to the back side of the credit card, and information for payments or value-added service is reorganized by exposing it to strong magnetic field. The process of data recording and retrieving as stated above has been pointed out as a major cause of illegal credit card use, because the information on the magnetic stripe is always exposed, and is thus vulnerable to forgery or alteration. A dynamic magnetic field emulator displays card information only when necessary by using the principle of solenoidal magnets. The DMFE proposed in this paper can prevent fraudulent use if it is operated with a device, like a smart phone, or a separate user-authentication procedure. In addition, because it is possible to display various information as needed, it can be utilized for a smart multi-card application, in which information for multiple cards is stored in one card, and can be selected and used as needed. This paper introduces the necessity of the DMFE and its manufacturing principles. As a result, this study will be helpful for making various application cases in payment, which is a core area of the Fintech (a newly-coined word of finance and technology) industry.

The latest technical development of steel plate girder railway bridge are developing in ways to maximize its durability of materials in use of high strength steel and efficiency of maintenance and management by the introduction of simplified and standardization ideas. In addition to this, it is also expected to reduce the cost of bridge construction and to simplify the process of bridge manufacturing. Referring to this, composite few plate girder railway bridge is highly recommendable that is very economical with the fine exterior. In this paper, it will analyse the variation of dynamic behavior of existing composite few plate girder railway bridge with ballast caused by modified Slab Track through interpretation of limited enzyme in order to obtain the existing data for improvement of Slab Track system from Ballast Track system. Consequently, it can help maximize economic efficiency and structural capability. As a results, although the natural frequency by modified Slab Track are decreased, it is hardly influencing on the safety of railway bridges. It is also evident in the case of slab deck with a reduced scale in comparison with Ballast Track. Therefore, it is expected to reduce the cost of a railway bridge plan. And, it can expect the synergistic effect of the ensure long term durability of bridge caused by decreased stresses of bottom flange due to reduced dead load. As a result, the analytical study are carried out to investigate the composite few plate girder railway bridge could be the optimal design method for the dynamic safety of a girder section.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the repeatability and reproducibility of two dental scanners. Methods: The master die and the stone replicas(Kavo, Germany) were digitized in touch-probe scanner(Incise, Renishaw, UK), white light scanner(Identica, Medit, Korea) to create 3-dimensional surface-models. The number of points in the point clouds from each reading were calculated and used as the CAD reference model(CRM). Discrepancies between the points in the 3-dimensional surface models and the corresponding CRM were measured by a matching-software(Power-Inspect R2, Delcam Plc, UK). The t-student test for one samples were used for statistical analysis. Results: The reproducibility of both scanner was within $3{\mu}m$, based on mean value. The mean value between measurements made directly on the touch probe scanner digital models and those made on the white light scanner digital models was $2.20-2.90{\mu}m$, and was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: With respect to adequate data acquisition, the reproducibility of dental scanner differs. Three-dimensional analysis can be applied to differential quality analysis of the manufacturing process as well as to evaluation of different analysis methods.
This paper aims to provide basic data for work environment control, prevention of worker exposure to asbestos and improvement of air quality to protect workers ‘health after measuring the level of airborne asbestos and workers' exposure in a shipbuilding repair businesses. For this study, a total of 27 samples were collected from 27 workers who had been exposed to asbestos during engine, piping, boiler and other manufacturing processes in 'A' Shipbuilding Repair Company in Gyeongnam. This research was conducted from Oct. 1 to 30, 2007 and had the following results: The target group (27 workers) consisted of all men with an average age of 35.9 years and 6.6 years of work on average. Among them, fifteen 15 (55.6%) were smokers. In terms of their duties at work, there were 12 plumbing repair engineers (44.4%), 8 boiler repair engineers (29.6%) and 7 engine engineers (25.9%). The geometric mean concentration of airborne asbestos was 0.004 f/cc. A total of 4 samples exceeded the exposure limit. In particular, three exceeded the legal limit by more than double, which means that some workers have been highly exposed to asbestos. In terms of the concentration of asbestos fibres by work process, plumbing repair was the highest (0.0071 f/cc($0.001{\sim}0.57\;f/cc$)) while boiler was the lowest (0.0015 f/cc($0.001{\sim}0.007\;f/cc$)). Based on this study, proper action needs to be taken as soon as possible to protect workers from the threat of asbestos.

The automation system uses PLC to monitor the manufacturing process status of the production product and processes the sensor information transmitted from the sensor. In this paper, we propose a remote surveillance system to monitor the status of control relay used in automation system. The proposed system consists of a control relay module, a one-chip processor module, a computer monitoring system, and a database system that inputs and manages the details of the control relay. The computer monitoring system is configured to monitor the operating condition and life time of the control relay. The database is configured so that the input date of the control relay can be input and corrected, and the operating state information of the control relay can be automatically printed. In the remote monitoring system, the failure status of the control relay is recognized in real time, and the time required for normal operation can be minimized by quickly replacing faulty parts.
Recently, many enterprises are introducing information systems for their competitive advantages. For enhancing the utilization level of enterprise information system, it is quite important to monitor the usage states of the information systems continuously. However, most enterprise information systems lack this functionality. Proposed in this paper is the framework of IAM (Information Activity Monitoring), which is defined as real-time reporting and alerting of significant information-related activities. This IAM framework provides 4 different views about the information system (data, IT system, business process, and participant) and is implemented as a part of integrated design/manufacturing information system developed by aerospace parts manufacturer. By using the IAM function, IT personnel can monitor significant information-related activities systematically and feedback to their users timely, and ultimately enhance the utilization level of information system.

Due to advancements in technology and manufacturing capability, it is not uncommon that life tests yield no or few failures at low stress levels. In these situations it is difficult to analyse lifetime data and make meaningful inferences about product or system reliability. For some products or systems whose performance characteristics degrade over time, a failure is said to have occurred when a performance characteristic crosses a critical threshold. The measurements of the degradation characteristic contain much useful and credible information about product or system reliability. Degradation measurements of the performance characteristics of an unfailed unit at different times can directly relate reliability measures to physical characteristics. Reliability prediction based on physical performance measures can be an efficient and alternative method to estimate for some highly reliable parts or systems. If the degradation process and the distance between the last measurement and a specified threshold can be established, the remaining useful life is predicted in advance. In turn, this prediction leads to just in time maintenance decision to protect systems. In this paper, we describe techniques for mapping product or system which has degrading performance parameter to the associated classical reliability measures in the performance domain. This paper described a general modeling and analysis procedure for reliability prediction based on one dominant degradation performance characteristic considering pseudo degradation performance life trend model. This pseudo degradation trend model is based on probability modeling of a failure mechanism degradation trend and comparison of a projected distribution to pre-defined critical soft failure point in time or cycle.
As the 4th industrial revolution progressing, manufacturers are trying to apply intelligent information technologies such as IoT(internet of things) and machine learning. In the semiconductor/LCD/tire manufacturing process, schedule plan that minimizes setup change and due date violation is very important in order to ensure efficient production. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest the deep learning based scheduling generation model minimizes setup change and due date violation in parallel machines. The proposed model learns patterns of minimizing setup change and due date violation depending on considered order using the amount of historical data. Therefore, the experiment results using three dataset depending on levels of the order list, the proposed model outperforms compared to priority rules.

Bronzes excavated from a Gulsansa temple site in Gangneung were investigated in order to study the production of technology and provenance in this area. The bronze artifacts were discovered to consist of copper-tin or copper-tin-lead alloys using chemical analysis(EDS and EPMA). The excavated bronzes were manufactured using a casting or hammering process, and a bronze belt was gilded with gold foil. The provenance of 25 bronzes was studied using lead isotope analysis(TIMS and LA-MC-ICPMS). The results reveal the use of raw materials found near the excavated site. The object of this study was to investigate the manufacturing techniques and provenance in Gangneung without the need for a lot of data. Our results will contribute to the study of Gulsansa and bronze artifacts in Goryo(12-13th century).
