노후 콘크리트 구조물의 실용적 유지관리를 위한 콘크리트 구조물 안전진단 지침 분석 (Analysis of Safety Evaluation Guidelines for Practical Maintenance of Existing Concrete Structures)

  • In South Korea, problems caused by material deterioration of time-worn concrete structures have been increased recently. Because severe material deterioration could damage the structure's safety, it's important to evaluate the old structure's condition and structural capacity regularly to keep its proper performance. The safety evaluation of concrete structures has been initiated and performed periodically since 1995 according to a guideline in accordance with a law in Korea. The guideline prescribes the evaluation types, intervals and methods of the target structure. A lot of cost and labor have been invested every year to carry out the regular safety evaluation. However, it's not clear that the current manual could inspect the old structure's condition and assess the structural capacity precisely. Thus, the verification study initiated to figure out the Korean safety evaluation manual's practicalness. First, the Korean manual was analyzed and then compared with that of other countries for concrete bridges which are representative concrete structure. After that, the previously written evaluation reports were collected and analyzed to find out how the safety evaluation has been carried out. Based on the study results, the parts requiring verification of the manual were drawn. A research program is in progress in order to verify the parts by performing tests with actual structural members from decommissioned concrete bridges.

  • Despite of the low productivity, the manual programming for NC machining is still widly used because of it's economical reasons. In this study, the computer assisted manual programming system CAMP which assits the efficient verification of MCD(Machine Control Data) is presented. The system can detect sysntax errors, graphically display tool motions and eventually diagnose programming techniques. The case study is applied for the NC turning operations.

Automatic Speech Database Verification Method Based on Confidence Measure

  • In this paper, we propose the automatic speech database verification method(or called automatic verification) based on confidence measure for a large speech database. This method verifies the consistency between given transcription and speech using the confidence measure. The automatic verification process consists of two stages : the word-level likelihood computation stage and multi-level likelihood ratio computation stage. In the word-level likelihood computation stage, we calculate the word-level likelihood using the viterbi decoding algorithm and make the segment information. In the multi-level likelihood ratio computation stage, we calculate the word-level and the phone-level likelihood ratio based on confidence measure with anti-phone model. By automatic verification, we have achieved about 61% error reduction. And also we can reduce the verification time from 1 month in manual to 1-2 days in automatic.

  • 방조제 시공구간의 사석 및 돌망태의 적정규모를 산정하기 위한 매뉴얼을 개발하였다. 본 매뉴얼은 새만금 방조제 끝막이 구간의 상고공, 바닥보호공, 1차 사석재 구간을 대상으로 한 재료의 이동한계유속을 측정한 수리모형실험 결과와 기존의 경험공식에서 산정되는 규모별 이동한계유속의 비교 및 검증을 통해 개발되었다. 또한 현재까지 수행되지 않았던 사석과 돌망태를 혼용할 경우에 대하여도 이동한계유속을 측정하여 매뉴얼에 추가하였다. 본 매뉴얼은 새만금방조제 끝막이 기간 동안 발생유속에 대한 일별로 시공구간별 적정규모를 제시하였으며, 새만금방조제 끝막이가 끝난 후 그 적용성이 상당히 높게 평가되었다.

견인곡사포용 이동대차형 포탄 이송장치의 인간공학적 적합성 검증 (Ergonomic Verification of Suitability of the 4-Wheeled Hand Cart to Transfer a Projectile for Towed Howitzer)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the ergonomic verification of suitability of the 4-wheeled hand cart to prevent musculoskeletal problems in the firing test range. Because of the increasing amount of firing test, the needs to develop a projectile transferring device such as 4-wheeled hand cart has been increased. For the 4-wheeled hand cart, the lifting and carrying activity in the manual handling method were transformed to pushing activity. The risk of low back pain for lifting and carrying the projectile by manual was estimated by NLE and 3D SSPP. On the other hand, the risk for pushing the 4-wheeled hand cart was estimated by psychophysical and biomechanical method such as Mital's equation, Snook's table and 3D SSPP. It was shown that the 4-wheeled hand cart reduced the risk of low back pain drastically with higher efficiency and design compatibility.

A Study on the Modeling of Transient Response in Automated Manual Transmission for Hybrid Trucks

  • Modern transmission technologies such as automated manual transmission(AMT) and dual clutch transmission(DCT) are interested to all manufactures due to their fuel efficiency and driver's convenience, especially in a hybrid system. AMT has advantages in that they have a high efficiency of manual transmissions(MT) and offer operation convenience similar to automatic transmissions(AT), but it has some disadvantages in that they have torque gap during gear shift and shift time. To reduce disadvantages, it is necessary to evaluate errors and characteristics as a developing simulation model before experimental verification. The purpose of this study is to develop virtual components and simulate the transient response of AMT. A dynamic AMT model and a control logic for an integrated vehicle model have been developed using Matlab/Simulink as a simulation platform. In this paper, the clutch model to describe the stick-slip transition mode and the transmission model to describe the neutral gear shifting is introduced and compared with each other.

A-SMGCS 개발에 따른 적정성 평가와 검증방법에 관한 연구 (A Verification & Validation Methodology Study on the Development of A-SMGCS)

  • In this paper, we states the verification and validation methodology for the modular system of A-SMGCS which defined in the ICAO Manual on Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems. Such systems aim to maintain the declared surface movement rate under all weather conditions while maintaining the required level of safety. With the complete concept of an A-SMGCS, air traffic controllers, vehicle drivers, flight crews, and are assisted with surface operations in terms of surveillance, control, routing/planning and guidance tasks. A-SMGCS verification and validation for the development of Real Time Simulation, shadow mode trials, operational trials are conducted through three methods. In this study, the characteristics and the need for such a verification method was examined.

온라인 게임 서버의 파티 시스템 검증을 위한 스핀 모델 체커 적용에 관한 연구 (A Case Study on Model Checking Online-Game Server Party System Using SPIN)

  • 모델 체킹 방법은 가능한 모든 경우를 자동으로 확인할 수 있으며, 코드가 구현되기 이전의 명세서나 디자인의 검증에도 적용할 수 있어 고위험 시스템의 검증에 활발히 적용되어왔다. 그러나 이러한 엄밀한 검증기법에 대한 일반적인 이해 부족과 테스팅에 비해 높은 검증 비용으로 인하여, 일반적인 소프트웨어들은 여전히 인력에 의한 테스팅과 같은 기초적인 방법에 의존하여 검증이 수행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 그 대표적인 예인 온라인 게임 서버를 대상으로, SPIN 모델 체커(SPIN model checker)를 이용한 자동화 검증 방법을 적용하는 실험적인 연구를 수행하여 검증 비용 대비 효과에 근거한 적용성을 판단하였다. 연구 결과, 5~7GB 이내의 메모리와 10분 이내의 시간 내에서 온라인 게임 서버 파티 시스템의 주요 특성들을 검증할 수 있음을 보였고, 이 과정에서 기존에 파악하지 못한 오류도 검출하였다. 이로부터 인력에 의한 테스팅에 비해 납득할만한 수준의 검증 비용으로 엄밀하고 효과적인 검증이 가능하다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다.

Safety Ontology Modeling and Verification on MIS of Ship-Building and Repairing Enterprise

  • Shipbuilding and repairing enterprise has the characteristics of many hazards and accidents. Therefore, the safety management ability of shipbuilding and repairing MIS (management information system) must be effectively guaranteed. The verification on safety management is the necessary measure to ensure and improve the safety management ability of MIS. Safety verification can not only increase the safety of MIS, but also make early warning of potential risks in management to avoid the accidents. Based on the authoritative standards in the field of safety in shipbuilding and repairing enterprise, this paper applied modeling and verification method based on ontology to safety verification of MIS, extracted the concepts and associations from related safety standards to construct axiom set to support safety verification on MIS of shipbuilding and repairing enterprise. Then, this paper developed the corresponding safety ontology modeling and verification tool-SOMVT. By the application and comparison of two examples, this paper effectively verified the safety of MIS to prove the modeling method and the SOMVT can improve the safety of MIS in a much more effective and stable way to traditional manual analysis.

고속 SoC 검증을 위한 자동 가상 플랫폼 생성 (Automatic Virtual Platform Generation for Fast SoC Verification)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상 플랫폼을 이용하여 빠르고 효과적으로 시스템을 검증하기 위한 추상레벨의 자동생성에 대하여 제안한다. 추상레벨 가상 플랫폼은 효과적인 검증 방법이긴 하지만 시스템이 변경될 때마다 가상 플랫폼을 재생성하고 추가적인 설계/검증을 요구되며 이 작업은 매우 많은 시간을 요구한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 CPU, 메모리, UART 등을 기본적인 요소로 구성하여 추상레벨의 라이브러리로 생성하였다. 이 라이브러리를 이용하여 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하는 툴을 개발하였다. 이 툴은 임베디드 RTOS를 구성하는 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하며 HW/SW 간의 통신을 위한 메모리 맵과 디바이스 드라이버 등도 생성한다. 제안한 방법은 JPEG과 H.264에 성공적으로 적용하였으며 기존의 수동 작업에 비하여 매우 빠르게 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성할 수 있었다.
