The purposes of this study were to identify leadership competences of rural leaders and to analyze leadership competency of leaders. The study carried out by questionnaire and focus group interview on expert panels. To analyze leadership competency, the data was collected from 273 rural leaders by stratified random sampling. SPSSWIN/ver10 program was used for analyzing data with t-test and IPA method. The study suggests twenty low types of leadership competences which were information, vision, decision making, motivation communication, education residents, managing residents, loaming, flexibility, problem solving, presentation program management, customer orientation service knowledge, making relationship, creative idea, business understanding, brand development, conflict resolution negotiation, assessment, business management, coaching and feed back. Whereas leaders with middle school educational career required developing program management, maintaining achievement and benchmarking, leaders with high school were morel likely to develope self-learning, to benchmark their knowhow and brand development competency. Whereas leader with less low years experiences as leader have been considered as developing coaching/feedback brand development and program development, leaders with more five years as leader should consider developing benchmarking, resident education, and brand development. The study suggests that the extension agents on public should develop leadership program according to the competency differences of leaders.
Purpose - This study aims to analyze the causality relationship between Islamic leadership style on employee engagement through empirical testing and anthropology economics approach. Research design, data, and methodology - The sample of this study 117 respondents who are employees of various levels of management in one of the FCMG industry in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Data collection with surveys. Data analysis through three steps, i.e., Pearson Correlation, The Second order modeling and also regression using SPSS. Results - Islamic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. The Islamic leadership that we developed in this study can be an alternative solution for organizations in today's modern business. Apart from those anthropological elements in the viewpoint of contemporary activity in the example in this study illustrate that to realize employee engagement, the role of organizational atmosphere and leadership, as well as management and team support has a genuine impact on accomplishing the company's goals and sustainability. Conclusions - The Islamic leadership that we developed in this study can be an alternative solution for organizations in today's modern business. The critical elements in embodying employee engagement are mainly in the skills, reliability, and level of trust of a leader in the organization.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to suggest an efficient human-resources direction for the management of dental hygienists, the study analyzes the influential relationship between superior's coaching leadership as perceived by dental hygienists and their on the job satisfaction, and proves the moderating effects of leader trust and of followership in the process. Methods : To test the empirical model, data were collected by survey using structural self-administered questionnaires that were distributed to 300 dental hygienists working at dental clinics in the Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeonggi areas, from 27 March to 10 April, 2015, 286 cases were used in final analysis. Results : Coaching leadership is found to have a significant influence on job satisfaction. Trust in a leader showed a significant main moderating effect on job satisfaction, on the other hand, followership showed a significant main effect, but no significant moderating effect, on job satisfaction. Conclusions : The results of this study imply that leadership factors such as coaching leadership and leader trust are crucial for improving the job satisfaction of dental hygienists, therefore, a program for enhancing the leadership skills of dental managers is needed in dental health organizations.

The study investigates by empirical methods the effect of motivation, leadership, and organizational culture on job satisfaction, and employee performance at Wahana Resources Ltd North Seram District, Central Maluku Regency, Indonesia. This examination intends to be a critical review for academics researching the field of human resources management (HRM). The study's sample consisted of 155 employees who were selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling method. At the same time, data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling on Amos. The results of data analysis showed that work motivation and organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on performance, but did not significantly influence employee job satisfaction. While leadership has a substantial impact on employee job satisfaction, it does not affect performance. The results of testing the coefficient of determination show that job satisfaction is influenced for 57.4% by motivation, leadership, and culture variables, while employee performance variables are influenced for 73.5% by motivation, leadership, culture, and job satisfaction variables. Other factors outside this study influence the rest. Motivation, leadership, and organizational culture of employees need to be improved to increase job satisfaction. Invariably, if employee job satisfaction increases, employee performance will also increase.

Fraud cases that are committed by top management or people who have high positions or organization can be called character assassination crimes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethical leadership on organizational citizenship behavior and the effect of ethical leadership on job satisfaction and job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior. This study uses quantitative methods with SEM analysis tools partial least square (PLS) with the population of this study being all civil servants in the Kediri city government with 125 organizational members. This research instrument uses a questionnaire divided into three main parts: (1) leadership ethics as measured by 6 indicators and 12 items. (2) Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as measured by 7 dimensions and 14 items (3) job satisfaction as measured by 4 indicators and 8 items. Based on the results of the discussion of data analysis that has been carried out through data processing and proof of hypotheses, it can be concluded that an increase in ethical leadership will have an impact on increasing organizational citizenship behavior, an increase in ethical leadership variables will affect job satisfaction and that job satisfaction has no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior.
The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the effects of transformational leadership and transactional leadership on the hospital member's organizational commitment and turnover intention, (2) to provide with fundamental data in enhancing organizational effectiveness. For this purpose, the types of leadership, organizational commitment and turnover intention were evaluated among hospital members. A survey was conducted with 827 respondents working in a general hospital in Sungnam-shi. For the data analysis SPSS 10.0 was utilized. To verify the reliability and validity of variables, Chronbach's ${\alpha}$ and confirmatory factor analysis were processed. After descriptive analysis, regression analysis was conducted. In these progresses all the statistical significant levels were set at ${\alpha}$= 0.05. Results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the types of leadership had differences in the level of organizational commitment and turnover intention of the hospital members and then transformational leadership had a more influence than did transactional leadership. Second, there were significant correlations for organizational commitment and turnover intention with overall characteristics of leadership(p<.05). Third, the factor influencing hospital member's organizational commitment and turnover intention were transformational leadership(p<.001). Total explanatory powers($R^2$) were 20.2% (organizational commitment) and 12.1%(turnover intention). Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that organizational commitment significantly high when transformational leadership was higher and it also showed turnover intention was significantly lower. In conclusion, the results of this study show that the leadership influence hospital member's organizational commitment and turnover intention and they are different the types of leadership. This results suggest that in order to be as successful leaders in hospital, the leaders should know their employee's behaviors and change their leadership styles.

Existing models of knowledge processing do not feature a systemic meaning of knowledge management and ignore the role of leadership and social energy in the knowledge processing system (KPS). This conceptual paper introduces the Leadership Invigorating Flows of Energies, (LIFE) Model as an attempt to remedy that situation and provide a more useful description of the KPS. The LIFE Model highlights the role of emergent leadership and flows of social energies as forces encouraging knowledge creation and dynamic diffusion within an organization through the Knowledge Processing Cycle in eight activities interacting with its social knowledge base in a self-organizing system.

This study investigated the effect of emotional leadership on the job satisfaction of dental hygienists. Therefore, we tried to determine a way to improve job satisfaction through emotional leadership, which is one of the skills that dental hygienists should have. The study subjects were 237 dental hygienists working in dental clinics in Jeollabuk-do from April 16, 2018 to April 28, 2018. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 program. The following results were obtained. The emotional leadership of the subjects was lowest for leadership ability (3.15), and the average job satisfaction was 3.43. Salary levels were low, ranging from 2.49 to 2.98. The final academic achievement and dental career had significant influences on emotional leadership (p<0.05). Marital status, self-cognition ability, self-management ability, and relationship management ability influenced the subjects' job satisfaction. The explanatory power of the multiple regression model was 26.5% and the validity of the model was statistically significant (p<0.05). Based on the above results, it was determined that self-recognition ability, self-management ability and relationship management ability of emotional leadership are all highly related to the job satisfaction of dental hygienists. Thus, emotional leadership of dental hygienists can be strengthened to enhance empathy, understanding and management of others' feelings. Therefore, institutional support should be provided for developing an emotional leadership program based on education and training.
Among public organizations, does variation in organizational structure explain variation in public managers' leadership styles (e.g., transformational and transactional leadership)? The study of leadership in public organizations is increasingly an area of scholarly interest partly sparked by movements to reform public organizations, particularly in the context of emergency management. There is, for example, a need for effective leadership that can help organizations respond to disasters (Kapucu et al. 2010; Van Wart and Kapucu 2011; Stern 2013). There are numerous documented cases where the lack of leadership skills has been linked to major social and economic losses as a result of poor disaster response (e.g., Hurricane Katrina in the U.S.). Yet, leadership is a complex concept and numerous theoretical frameworks have been developed to help explain it (Van Wart 2005). Practically speaking, the existence of different theories of leadership suggests that public managers can decide to exercise various styles of leadership. The style of leadership that a public manager exhibits matters because some styles are perceived to be more effective than others (Trottier et al. 2008). While the effects of leadership have been extensively studied, antecedents or predictors of leadership style have received little scholarly attention (Wright and Pandey 2009; Nielsen and Cleal 2011). The purpose of this research note then is to explore the potential causal relationship between the structure of an organization and the ability of a public manager to exercise transformational leadership in the context of emergency management in two Asian countries: South Korea and Japan. This research note consists of three main sections. The following section explores the relationship between leadership and organizational structure. The second section examines how certain concepts of leadership and organizational structure were applied in two case studies of disaster response. The final section presents some directions for future research.
This study is a descriptive survey study for nurses in general hospitals to understand the effects of self-leadership, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment on safety management activities. The subjects of the study were nurses at three general hospitals located in G City. An online survey was conducted in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Data collection was from August 20 to August 30, 2021. As a result of the study, self-leadership (r=.618, p<.001), self-efficacy (r=306, p<.001), organizational immersion (r=0518, p<.001) showed a positive correlation with safety management activities. In addition, self-leadership, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment explained 38.2% of safety management activities (F=20.478, p<.001). Therefore, it would be helpful to provide regular leadership education and self-efficacy education to increase patient management activities of general hospital nurses. In addition, if a positive work environment, legal standards for nurse work, and an appropriate compensation system are established to improve organizational commitment, it will have a positive effect on environmental safety management activities.
