  • In this paper, we propose the techniques for effective management of profiles that necessary to provide adaptation content to an user. The profiles must be configured the related information of the user and can be exchanged according to periodic/aperiodic or event among user device, profile repository, contents adaptation server and contents storage server for providing adaptation content to an user. The profiles also must be supplied the contents services providers that need profiles for the adapted contents services. To support those function, we propose the management technologies of profiles and design profile framework supporting those. The proposed management framework of profiles is supported the profiles that are configurated using the various user's information and is used the Web Services for exchanging and providing regardless of the various devices and platform. The dynamic configuration method, metadata configuration method, and profiles providing methods using weight for effective management in the framework also are applied. The result of evaluation the proposed management techniques show effective profiles processing.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a framework based on Web Services for effective management of the profiles that were proposed to provide a user with personalized service. The profiles must be constituted the related information of the user and could be exchanged according to cyclic.acyclic or event among user's device, profile repository and service server for providing the user with personalized service. The profiles also must be supplied the services providers that need to the profiles for the personalized service. The profile framework is necessary to provide the functions like this for managing effectively of the personalized service. The proposed framework used the Web Services for exchanging and providing the profile regardless the various devices and platform. The framework also was applied the metadata constitute method and dynamic constitute method for managing effectively of the profile. The result of experiment using proposed framework was effective process and management of the profile and could exchange the profile with regardless of platform and device. The implemented system using the proposed framework was foundation of providing the personalized services with a user by through a effective management function of the profile.

  • Current construction simulation approaches mostly focus on operation aspects of construction projects, ignoring managerial aspects which can radically change operational profiles (e.g., number of resources, expected productivity level, or daily working hours) during the course of construction. As a result, these approaches may mislead construction managers into unrealistic execution plans as well as make them difficult to find potential performance improvement areas. As an effort to address this issue, this paper establishes a comprehensive construction modeling framework which integrates operational and managerial aspects of construction projects. The proposed modeling framework will provide construction managers with more accurate, more reliable, and more realistic simulation results thus reducing the likelihoods of schedule delays and cost overruns.

  • In this paper, we introduce the methodology for the automatic generation of the subject field hierarchy for Intellgent Expert Management Framework using WordNet. Intelligent Expert Management Framework, which is proposed as an appropriate method to manage valuable tacit knowledge within the organization, defines the expert profile structure and proposes the efficient method to automate the process to collect and update the expert profile information based on the profile structure defined. To increase the satisfaction level of users, additional intelligent search features are defined and users can be given the list of experts in related or similar expert fields when they perform expert searches based on the expert database being built. To enable automatic profiling of the organizational experts as well as intelligent expert searches, the subject field hierarchy, upon which the expert profiles are classified and expert searches for similar fields are performed, should be predefined. In this paper, we propose the WordNet library method that first eliminates the ambiguity of the senses of nominal data values, constructs the subject field hierarchy by overlapping the hypernym of the remaining senses, and lastly adjusts the derived hierarchy to the preference of users. Based on the proposed methodology, we expect to avoid the prohibitive costs in building large subject field hierarchies when manually done as well as maintain the objectivity of the hierarchies.

  • The Virtual organization is a alternative organization for redesigning the classical organization. With the advantages of the quickness of decision making and also connection with other organization, it can be well prepared for the consumer's need. With recent increased interest in virtual organization, there are many companies that consider the virtual organization as practical use. However, it is still in an early stage of the research and the concept has not been established for the virtual organization. The purpose of this research is to systematize the understanding of the virtual organization for the future organizational model. The differences of existing organizational structure can be compared with these three reasons of practical use for the virtual organization, the development of information technology, the importance of strategic choice and unreliable environment. Also, the framework for the virtual organization can be presented with its profiles. The use of this research can be appeared by analyzing the given framework from the companies that are already made practical application of the virtual organization. For the future, this research will give the direction and its viewpoint how this will be used for achieving the competitive advantage of companies and practical use for actual aspects with the pursuit of this research.

  • Process mining aims at mining valuable information from process execution results (called "event logs"). Even though process mining techniques have proven to be a valuable tool, the mining results from real process logs are usually too complex to interpret. The main cause that leads to complex models is the diversity of process logs. To address this issue, this paper proposes a trace clustering approach that splits a process log into homogeneous subsets and applies existing process mining techniques to each subset. Based on log profiles from a process log, the approach uses existing clustering techniques to derive clusters. Our approach are implemented in ProM framework. To illustrate this, a real-life case study is also presented.

  • The term color management system design, an ensemble of algorithm that provides a framework in which color information can be processed consistently throughout a digital imaging system. This is most commonly achieved through the use of special color transformation, known as device independent color transformation based on ICC device profiles. The purpose of this paper is to present some of the scientific principles of color management, and the original color management algorithms and solutions for digital soft color proofing system development.

  • In this paper, a client-side framework for processing of the profile that is necessary for providing adapted content to user's context in the client is designed and implemented. The profile must be constituted context information and various user's information for providing the adapted content to user's context. The client device also provides functionalities such as the creation, the management, and the transmission of the profile. The profile which is used in the proposed profile framework consists of various related information of a user for content adaptation. The technology such as creation, transmission and manage of the profile for effective processing is proposed and apply this technologies to client profile framework during the design are applied. As the result of evaluation, techniques of the proposed framework for processing profiles is more effective than previous techniques.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to discover how Korean expatriates that are currently employed in Korean subsidiaries operational in Malaysia possibly suffer from career dissatisfaction due to differences between Korean Corporate Culture (KCC) and Malaysian Corporate Culture (MCC). The integration of KCC into MCC is discussed. Research design, data, and methodology - The analysis herein is via a qualitative research. Forty-six interviewees voluntarily participated in in-depth interviews. Document analysis and qualitative interviews were utilized to develop participant profiles and to generate the framework. Interview data were transcribed and subsequently analysed to facilitate the development of themes and ultimately led to emerging patterns. The framework discusses the following Confucian pillars pronounced in KCC: Control Systems, Power Structures, Organisational Structures, Authority and Harmony and Stories and Myths. Those pillars are analysed and the results of the interviews are discussed in detail. Results - Korean expatriates on assignment in Malaysia endure struggles in all five selected Confucian pillars as they are not symmetrical with Korean Corporate Culture common at head companies in Korea. Conclusion - As a consequence, there is substantial disharmony which needs to be rectified if Korean companies are to continue their 'miraculous' economic movement into the country.

  • Several different classes of antidepressants(ADs) with newer drugs becoming available have been used for the phamacological management of a broad spectrum of mental disorders, among which depressive disorder is most commonly indicated. Successful clinical use of ADs requires a complete understanding of the psychopharmacological properties of ADs and on accurate knowledge of patients, characteristics based on clinical experience and theoretical framework. This paper aims at providing some practical information on the clinical use of ADs to assist clinicians in treating patients with major depression. The author describes (1) different classes of ADs and their presumed mechanisms of action, (2) clinical characteristics of ADs focusing on side-effect profiles, (3) some issues arising during the treatment course such as : a) pretreatment tasks, b) choice of ADs, c) therapeutic drug dose and monitoring of drug concentration, d) three stages of treatment and e) strategies in refractory depression and (4) ADs in special patient groups.
