Malling culture, which refers to the enjoyment of shopping in multi-complex malls with shopping, cultural, and leisure facilities, has emerged as a major trend in society. However, few studies have researched malling culture in depth. This study classified people who go to multi-complex shopping malls as belonging to the baby-boom generation, X-generation, or Y-generation to investigate consumer culture in malls, with an emphasis on user satisfaction and entertainment experiences. Consumers who had shopped in a multi-complex shopping mall during the last 6 months were surveyed. Data were collected through a research company, and responses from 417 subjects were used in the analysis. Among the 417 subjects, 130 were baby-boomers, 136 were from the X-generation, and 151 were from the Y-generation. Investigating the components of multi-complex shopping malls that stimulate entertainment experiences, this study found that exploratory, emotional, and leisure experiences were enhanced when users were more satisfied with the image, atmosphere, and events of shopping malls. In addition, mall image and atmosphere contributed to the improvement of social experiences. With regard to generation, baby-boomers and subjects from the X-generation were generally more satisfied with mall atmosphere, image, and events and had more exploratory and leisure experiences. This study holds significance in that it examined malling culture from a wider perspective than simply the younger generation and presented scholarly and marketing implications based on insights into generational malling culture.
The purpose of the study is to survey the effective methodology of composition and connection for the third pedestrian routes in mixed-use building by case studies. The study is performed as follows: First of all, pedestrian routes are classified into malling route, evacuation route, and the Third route. Secondly, case studies are conducted based on the classification. Thirdly, it is investigated about the composition and connection of the malling and the Third pedestrian route. The investigation is focused on gate, path, central area, vertical circulation(EV and escalator) and the four circulation elements. Finally, the effective methodology is extracted for setting the Third route in mixed-use buildings. The conclusion of the study is as follows: The enhancement of consistency and connection between the main route and the Third route is important for providing convenient paths especially to users who needs shortcut, EV/ES users. Additionally, the connections between EV and gate, between shortcut and EV/ES should be increased to enable users choosing their path as needed.
The purpose of the study is to be the pedestrian integrated circulation system of malling route and the third route in Mixed-use Building based on User Behavior. The study has performed by the following approaches: Initially, literature reviews are performed related to a pedestrian route by user in mixed-use building. Second, general and stroller users moving route are analyzed based on the outcome of the case study. Finally, the study develops the efficient pedestrian integrated circulation system of malling route and the third route in Mixed-use Building. According to the study, the following conclusions were made: First, An integrated plan for escalators and EVs, which are accessible to both users and strollers, is needed. Second, The entrance automatic door and circulation elements should be connected for continuous move by the stroller users. Finally, The circulation system of complex buildings should be a simple spatial structure and route plan that users can easily recognize.

Rapid apple decline (RAD) is a complex phenomenon affecting cultivated apple trees and particularly dwarf rootstocks on grafted young apple trees. Since its first appearance in the United States, RAD has been reported worldwide, for example in Canada, South America, Africa, and Asia. The phenomenon has also been observed in apple orchards in Korea, and it presented similar symptoms regardless of apple cultivar and cultivation period. Most previous reports have suggested that RAD may be associated with multiple factors, including plant pathogenic infections, abiotic stresses, environmental conditions, and the susceptibility of trees to cold injury during winter. However, RAD was observed to be more severe and affect more frequently apple trees on the Malling series dwarf rootstock. In this study, we reviewed the current status of RAD worldwide and surveyed biotic and abiotic factors that are potentially closely related to it in Korea.
