고령에서 일차 항결핵 화학요법에 의한 약물 이상반응이 치료에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Adverse Drug Reactions on First-line Anti-tuberculosis Chemotherapy in the Elderly Patients)

  • Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is still common disease among the elderly patients in Korea where the overall incidence of TB is decreasing. Adverse drug reactions (ADR) associated with anti-TB drugs occurs frequently. Especially the aged tends to have more frequent ADRs than younger ones. These ADRs can cause significant morbidity, compromise therapeutic effects of drugs and even induce drug resistance. Therefore we evaluated the effect of ADRs on the first-line anti-TB drugs in elderly patients with active pulmonary TB. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the charts and radiological findings of the patients with 65 and older who were bacteriologically confirmed as active TB and treated with standard anti-TB drugs for at least 6 months. Major ADR was defined with temporary or continuous stop of any first-line drugs intake. Results: An ADR was noted in 54% of all patients. The incidence of major ADR was 32% in all elderly patients. Dermatologic ADR (9%) was the most common among the major ADRs. GI trouble (8%), arthralgia (6%), visual change (6%), hepatotoxicity (4%), and fever (1%) were also noted. The drugs responsible for major ADR were ethambutol (62%), pyrazinamide (35%), rifampin (18%) and isoniazid (9%). Major ADRs were associated with higher ESR level at the initiation of anti-TB drugs. Conclusion: First-line anti-TB drugs in elderly patients frequently caused the major ADRs. Therefore the elderly patients receiving anti-TB drugs should be closely monitored and better tolerable therapy should be considered as part of a TB research agenda.

  • As the device geometry continuously shrink down less than sub-quarter micrometer, DRAM makers are going to replace conventional tungsten-polycide with tungsten bit-line structure in order to reduce the chip size and use it as a local interconnection. In this paper we showed low resistance and leakage tungsten bit-line process with various RTP(Rapid Thermal Process) temperature. As a result we obtained that major parameters impact on tungsten bit-line process are RTP Anneal temperature and BF2 ion implantation dopant. These tungsten bit-line process are promising to fabricate high density chip technology.

Line Security Evaluation of WANS Considering Protectability of Relays and Vulnerability of Lines

  • Maloperation of protective relays is one of the major causes for cascading tripping in WANS. Another line trip followed by a previous line trip may occur due to overloading of the line, because of the load redistribution or unwanted trip of a backup relay due to change in the flow of fault current. Evaluation of each line is required by considering both of these effects. A new index named Line Security Index (LSI) is proposed in this paper which combines both Vulnerability Index (VI) and Protectability Index (PI) to completely evaluate the security of individual lines and their importance in the power grid. Computer simulations have been performed on the Korean power grid data to establish the feasibility of the proposed idea.

  • To ease traffic congestion Seoul Metropolitan Government formulated the 2nd Phase of Seoul Subway Construction Scheme in 1989. The scheme calls for the construction of %60 km of subway which includes addition of 4 more subway lines and extension of 3 existing subway lines in addition to the existing 118 km of subway. As a final stage of the scheme subway line 6 is under planning and design. The line 6 is 36.1 km-long route connecting Ungam-Samgakchi-Changsin-Sinnae. Except for the depot main line wilts be underground and major construction methods are cut and cover and tunnelling. As a tunnelling method New Austrian Tunnelling Method will be adapted. The line will be opened by the end of 1997. With the completion of the line Seoul will have 278 km of subway network and the transport share by subway will be increased from 25% in 1992 to 50% in 1997.

한국산 붕장어과 어류 2 미기록종 (First Record of Two Congrid Eels (Anguilliformes, Congridae) from Korea)

  • 1995년 남해 거제도 부근에서 채집된 어류를 동정한 결과 지금까지 우리나라에서는 서식이 알려지지 않은 Chaunax abei와 Bembrops curvatura로 확인되어 이 2종을 한국산 미기록종으로 보고한다. C. abei는 외부형태적으로 C. fimbriatus와 유사하나 체표의 녹색 무늬 형태가 원형이고 등지느러미의 앞쪽에는 노란 반점과 그 뒤에 약간 패인 곳이 없으며, 유인돌기와의 주변에는 돌기가 없다는 점이, 그리고 B. curvatura는 B. caudimacula와 유사하나 뒷지느러미 연조수 및 측선린 수와, 측선이 깊게 내려간 점 그리고 제 1 등지느러미의 첫 번째 막이 검다는 점 등이 이들 유사종들과 잘 구별되었다. 이들의 한국명으로는 Chaunacidae "점씬벵이과", Chaunax "점씬벵이속", C. abei를 "점씬벵이"로, 그리고 B. curvatura는 "줄굽은눈퉁이"라고 명명하였다.

Emerging Role of Hepatobiliary Magnetic Resonance Contrast Media and Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound for Noninvasive Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Emphasis on Recent Updates in Major Guidelines

  • Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) can be noninvasively diagnosed on the basis of its characteristic imaging findings of arterial phase enhancement and portal/delayed "washout" on computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in cirrhotic patients. However, different specific diagnostic criteria have been proposed by several countries and major academic societies. In 2018, major guideline updates were proposed by the Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), Korean Liver Cancer Association and National Cancer Center (KLCA-NCC) of Korea. In addition to dynamic CT and MRI using extracellular contrast media, these new guidelines now include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using hepatobiliary contrast media as the first-line diagnostic test, while the KLCA-NCC and EASL guidelines also include contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) as the second-line diagnostic test. Therefore, hepatobiliary MR contrast media and CEUS will be increasingly used for the noninvasive diagnosis and staging of HCC. In this review, we discuss the emerging role of hepatobiliary phase MRI and CEUS for the diagnosis of HCC and also review the changes in the HCC diagnostic criteria in major guidelines, including the KLCA-NCC practice guidelines version 2018. In addition, we aimed to pay particular attention to some remaining issues in the noninvasive diagnosis of HCC.

시계열 분석 모델을 이용한 조선 산업 주요물가의 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Major Prices in the Shipbuilding Industry Using Time Series Analysis Model)

  • Oil and steel prices, which are major pricescosts in the shipbuilding industry, were predicted. Firstly, the error of the moving average line (N=3-5) was examined, and in all three error analyses, the moving average line (N=3) was small. Secondly, in the linear prediction of data through existing theory, oil prices rise slightly, and steel prices rise sharply, but in reality, linear prediction using existing data was not satisfactory. Thirdly, we identified the limitations of linear prediction methods and confirmed that oil and steel price prediction was somewhat similar to actual moving average line prediction methods. Due to the high volatility of major price flows, large errors were inevitable in the forecast section. Through the time series analysis method at the end of this paper, we were able to achieve not bad results in all analysis items relative to artificial intelligence (Prophet). Predictive data through predictive analysis using eight predictive models are expected to serve as a good research foundation for developing unique tools or establishing evaluation systems in the future. This study compares the basic settings of artificial intelligence programs with the results of core price prediction in the shipbuilding industry through time series prediction theory, and further studies the various hyper-parameters and event effects of Prophet in the future, leaving room for improvement of predictability.

대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용동기 및 결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Motivations and Determinants of College Students' On-line Bookstore Utilization)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용실태를 실증적으로 규명한 것이다. 본 연구의 문제는 다음과 같다 첫째, 대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용 동기 구조는 어떠한가? 둘째, 대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용 및 구매행위의 결정요인은 무엇인가? 셋째, 대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용행태와 구매하는 도서장르와의 관계는 어떠한가? 본 연구는 215 명의 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 2005 년 10 월 10 일에서 17 일까지 8 일간 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과를 보면, 첫째 대학생의 인터넷 서점 이용 동기 구조는 모두 3 가지 요인 - 편의추구 동기, 대인관계 추구 동기, 정보추구 동기 -로 나타났다. 둘째, 편의 추구 동기가 많은 대학생일수록, 인터넷 서점에 대한 관여도와 만족도가 높은 대학생일수록 자주 방문하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 독서시간이 낮은 학생일수록 인터넷 서점에서 책을 구매하는 경향이 많았다. 인터넷 서점에 대한 높은 신뢰도와 만족도를 가진 대학생들 이 인터넷 서점을 통하여 지속적으로 책을 구입할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 인터넷 서점에 대한 관여도가 높은 대학생일수록 이용에 있어서 만족도가 높았다. 또 인터넷 서점 관여도가 높은 대학생들은 소설이외의 문학도서, 실용취미도서, 국내외소설, 교양도서 순으로 구입하였다. 향후 인터넷 서점의 활성화 정책은 주요 독서 계층인 대학생의 욕구를 만족시키고 이들의 신뢰를 확보하는 방향으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

자동차 엔진공장의 크랭크샤프트 라인설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 사례연구 (A Case Study of Simulation for the Design of Crankshaft Line in an Automotive Engine Shop)

  • 자동차 엔진을 구성하는 주요부품은 실린더블록, 실린더헤드, 크랭크샤프트, 커넥팅로드, 캠샤프트 등으로 구성되는데 이들의 영문명을 따서 5C라고 부른다. 따라서 일반적으로 엔진공장은 5C를 생산하는 라인과, 엔진 조립라인을 포함하는 6개의 라인으로 구성이 된다. 엔진공장은 소품종대량생산의 특성을 가지기 때문에 장비의 배치형태는 흐름라인의 형태를 따른다. 본 논문에서는 국내 자동차 회사 엔진공장의 크랭크샤프트라인 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 사례를 소개한다. 크랭크샤프트 라인은 기계가공을 중심으로 하는 라인이다. 따라서 라인설계에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대해 소개하고, 라인 효율에 미치는 영향을 $QUEST^{(R)}$라는 3차원 시뮬레이션 도구를 이용하여 분석하였다. 기술팀에서 제시한 초기배치안에 대해 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축한 후 실험을 통하여 시스템 효율을 개선시키기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

Comparison of Muscle Fiber and Meat Quality Characteristics in Different Japanese Quail Lines

  • The aim of this study was to compare the growth performance, fiber characteristics of the pectoralis major muscle, and meat quality characteristics in the heavy weight (HW) and random bred control (RBC) quail lines and genders. The HW male exhibited more than two times greater body (245.7 vs 96.1 g, p<0.05) and pectoralis major muscle (PMW; 37.1 vs 11.1 g, p<0.05) weights compared to the RBC female. This growth performance in the HW line was associated with a greater muscle fiber area (1,502 vs $663.0{\mu}m^2$, p<0.001) compared to the RBC line. Greater muscle mass of the HW male was accompanied by a higher percentage of type IIB fiber compared to the HW female (64.0% vs 51.0%, p<0.05). However, muscle fiber hyperplasia (increase in fiber number) has had a somewhat limited effect on PMW between the two lines. On the other hand, the HW line harboring a higher proportion of type IIB fiber showed rapid pH decline at the early postmortem period (6.23 vs 6.41, p<0.05) and lighter meat surface (53.5 vs 47.3, p<0.05) compared to the RBC line harboring a lower proportion of type IIB fiber. There were no significant differences observed in the measurement of water-holding capacity including drip loss (2.74% vs 3.07%, p>0.05) and cooking loss (21.9% vs 20.4%, p>0.05) between the HW and RBC lines. Therefore, the HW quail line developed by selection from the RBC quail, was slightly different in the meat quality characteristics compared to the RBC line, and a marked difference was found in growth performance between the two quail lines.
