  • Software education is inevitable for the success of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and university education also requires innovation to cope with revolutionary change of the society. The number of students seeking employment in the IT field is steadily increasing regardless of the major of the student. However, the existing software-related courses offered by universities or private educational institutions are limited. This paper analyzes the existing software curriculum of several major universities for non-IT major students. In addition, in-depth surveys by students at Seoul Theological University is conducted to figure out the demand for the advanced level computer science subjects. Finally, new software education curriculum is proposed to fulfill the needs of non-IT major students and to improve the employment rate of non-IT major students seeking tech companies. The new curriculum will help to cultivate intermediate level IT experts that bridge the gap between advanced level IT experts and primitive level computer technicians.

성별에 따른 이공계 전공교육만족이 일자리 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Job Satisfaction on the Major Satisfaction of Science and Engineering College Students According to Gender Differences)

  • This study is aim to the effects of job satisfaction on the major satisfaction of science and engineering college students and also analyzed the mediating effects of future outlook of job and major relevance in career choice. To do this, structural equation modeling(SEM) and multi-group SEM were applied to data from 2016 Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS). In the results of this study, the major satisfaction, future outlook of job and major relevance were positive effects on job satisfaction and the mediating effects of future outlook of job and major relevance were verified. And results of analysis according to gender difference, the coefficient of woman was smaller than man. Among major satisfaction had a positive effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction fell for women who value their relevance to the major when choosing a job. Based on such results, universities need to further strengthen their role in helping them enhance their expertise through skills and learning about their majors.

가상현실 교육에서 학교 급별 교육과정의 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Learner Characteristics in Virtual Reality by a School Level Curriculum)

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대의 교육방법과 함께 교육효과를 극대화하기 위한 방법으로 실감형 콘텐츠가 교육의 핵심방법으로 자리 잡고 있다. 그리고 실감형 콘텐츠의 중심에 가상현실(VR)이 자리 잡고 있다. 학교 현장에서 가상현실 활용 교육은 늘어나고 있지만, 가상현실 제작 교육에 관한 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구는 학생이 가상현실 콘텐츠를 직접 제작하는 과정을 위한 학교 급별 교육과정을 제시하였다. 초등학생, 중학생, 예비교사들의 특성의 분석을 위해 산출물과 설문지 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과로 학교 급별에 따라 집중도, 콘텐츠의 주제, 제작 시간 등은 많은 차이가 나타났으며, 초등학생은 자기와 관련된 주제, 중학생은 학습과 관련, 예비교사들은 초등 교육에 유용한 내용을 우선적으로 생각하였다.

  • For development of teaching model for observational experiment and the major contents of science education guide books published for secondary school teacher in America, the actual survey to the secondary schools and the investigation of science education guide were carried out. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The major concepts of contents in science education books are constituted of introduction(9.67%), ability(8.94%), activity(6.61%), curriculum(11.61%), instruction planning(5.25%), instruction strategy(l7.74%), materials and facilities(1O.97%), evaluation(8.62%), society and community(l0.55%), guidelines(4.76%), practice(3.54%), and index(1.74%). 2. The constitution of multimedia teaching model for observational instruction was developed and arranged in order of six steps as observation, materialization, broad understanding, advanced study, application, and synthesis. This model was thought as the most effective for the achievement of the instructive goal for observational unit and others.

일부 치위생과 학생의 교육 만족도와 임상실습 만족도의 관련성 (The relationship between the satisfaction levels of education and clinical practice in the dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between the satisfaction levels of education and clinical practice in the dental hygiene students and to provide the basic data for the improvement of satisfaction with major. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 487 dental hygiene students in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan. Data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 program. Results : Those who chose the dental hygiene by themselves tended to have higher satisfaction(p<0.05). Those who chose the major by teacher's advice tended to have higher satisfaction for the clinical practice(p<0.05). The satisfaction level between the education and clinical practice was equally proportional to each other. Multiple regression test showed that the influencing factors on satisfaction level included major satisfaction and lecture satisfaction(p<0.05). Conclusions : Satisfaction with the major influenced on the clinical practice performance. More systematic approach for the better curricula can bestow the students satisfaction with the major in the future.

전공기초교육 프로그램 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석 (Effect Analysis of Factors on Satisfaction of Fundamental Education for Major Course Learning)

  • This study investigates significant factors regarding college freshman engineering students and analyses each factors influence on student satisfaction in the College of Engineering core curriculum. We carried out a survey targeting 505 students who completed their fundamental education for major course learning in the 2011 academic year while attending one college in Gwangju and ruled out inadequate respondents. A total sample size 437 students were analyzed. The seven independent variables are academic fees, academic term period, academic environment of the classroom, learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity and student need for the program. The dependent variable is fundamental education satisfaction level. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the following factors were found to be significant in the following order: learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity, student need for the program, academic fees and academic environment of the classroom. On the other side academic term period was not significant. For improving fundamental education satisfaction, there is a need for prudent consideration regarding learning material development and lecture times. Also further investigation should take place for policies necessary for increasing learner motivation and sincerity, and expand appropriate conditions for learners to become self-aware of the education they need within their major.

초.중학생을 위한 보건교육의 영역 및 주요개념 선정을 위한 일 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Health topic areas and major concepts for Health Education in Primary and Junior High Schools)

  • In Korean education, the health contents are scattered in various course subjects throughtout the primary and junior high school curriculum. So it is very difficult to provide systematic health education. The purpose of this study was to provide a guide for health education using health topic areas and major concepts that represent the scope of material that should be covered in health instruction. The steps used in selecting these health topic areas and major concepts were as follows: 1. A review of the literature related to health and health education was done to develop the rationale underlying this study. 2. Health topic areas basic to the growth and development characteristics of children, to human needs and to societal needs for healthful living were indentified. 3. The major concepts for each health topic area based on health sciences and children's growth and development levels were selected. 4. The major concepts selected were organized in sequence to guide health education from grade one to grade nine. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The identification of eleven health topic areas essential for health education. These include: personal habits and health healthy growth and development nutrition and health prevention of disease and disorders drugs and health mental health family life and health sex education accident prevention consumer health community health 2. The identification of the major concepts(generalizations) for each health topic area: 33 major concepts were identified as a guide in determining the health content of health education programs. These are 1) body cleaniness, 2) health of the sensory organs, 3) dental health, 4) exercise and rest, 5) growth and development, 6) body structure and function, 7) developmental tasks, 8) balanced nutrition, 9) eating habits, 10) food preparation and food storage, 11) sources of disease and disorders, 12) disease preventive behavior, 13) care during illness, 14) drug use and misuse, 15) drug addiction, 16) emotional responses, 17) human relationship, 18) self concept, 19) social adjustment, 20) health habits of the family, 21) interdependence of family members, 22) origin of life, 23) characteristics of man and woman, 24) sexual instinct, 25) safety behavior, 26) emergency measures, 27) criteria for selection of health products, 28) proper use of health information, 29) utilization of health and medical services, 30) environmental conservation, 31) environmental pollution, 32) population control, 33) function of public health services. 3. The organization of the concepts(generalizations) in sequence and for continuity in health instruction at the primary and junior high school level.

학점은행제 체육학전공 학습자의 사회적지지가 전공만족 및 학습지속의향에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Physical Education Major Learner's Social Support on Major Satisfaction and Learning Persistence in the Academic Credit Bank System)

  • 본 연구는 학점은행제 체육학전공 학습자의 사회적지지가 전공만족 및 학습지속의향에 미치는 영향을 규명하여 학점은행제의 체육학 전공자들의 중도탈락을 방지하고 효과적인 운영 방안을 모색하고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 학점은행제 체육학전공에 학습자를 대상으로 서울의 학점은행제 3곳을 선정하여 총 118부(90.8%)를 유효 표본으로 사용하였다. 조사도구의 타당도와 신뢰도 검증을 위해 확인적 요인분석과 집중타당도, 판별타당도, 평균분산추출(AVE), 개념신뢰도, Cronbach's α 계수를 검증하였다. 자료처리방법은 IBM SPSS statistics 21과 IBM AMOS 21을 이용하여 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 집중타당도, 판별타당도, Cronbach's α 계수 산출을 통한 신뢰도분석(reliability analysis), 상관관계분석(correlation analysis), 구조방정식모형(SEM) 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학점은행제 체육학전공 학습자의 교수의 사회적지지와 전공만족 및 학습지속의향의 관계를 분석하기 연구모형의 적합도 검증한 결과 기준을 충족하였다. 둘째, 가설 1의 검증 결과, 학점은행제 체육학전공 학습자의 교수의 사회적지지는 전공만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 가설 2의 검증 결과, 학점은행제 체육학전공 학습자의 교수의 사회적지지는 학습지속의향에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 가설 3의 검증 결과, 전공만족은 학습지속의향에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

묽은 용액의 성질에 대한 화학전공 예비교사들의 이해 및 화학교사 양성교육에 대한 인식 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Chemistry Major Pre-service Teacher's Understanding about the Properties of Dilute Solutions and Perception on Teacher Education Curriculum)

  • 이 연구에서는 화학교육을 전공하는 4명의 예비교사들과 화학을 전공한 2명의 예비교사들을 대상으로 고등학교 화학II 교과서에 제시된 "묽은 용액의 성질" 단원에 관련된 개념의 이해를 비교하였다. 연구결과, 예비교사들 중에 고등학교 화학II 교과서에 제시된 내용을 깊이 있게 이해하는 예비교사들이 많지 않았으며, 묽은 용액의 성질에 관련된 오개념을 가지고 있는 경우도 나타났다. 그리고 사범대학에서 화학교육을 전공한 예비교사들의 이해수준과 비사범대학에서 화학을 전공한 예비교사들의 이해수준은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구에 참여한 대부분의 예비교사들은 대학과 상관없이 그들의 예비교사 교육과정에서 실천적 지식이 부족하다고 느끼고 있었다.

창의적 사고 계발을 위한 고등학교 학습 프로그램 개발: 태양계 축소 모형을 중심으로 (The Development of High School Instructional Program for Increasing Creative Thinking Abilities: Focused on Building a Scale Model of the Solar System)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 고등학생들의 태양계 상대적인 크기를 쉽게 이해하고 창의적인 사고 능력을 키우기 위한 교육 프로그램 개발이다. 프로그램은 태양계의 상대적 크기 영역에서 4개 주제와 8차시 분량으로 개발되었다. 개발된 프로그램은 구미시에 소재한 G 고등학교 10학년 155명에게 투입하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 개발된 프로그램 학습을 통해 학생들이 태양계 행성들의 상대적인 크기를 쉽게 이해할 수 있었고, 발산적 사고로부터 수렴적 사고로 이어지는 창의적 사고력을 향상 시켰다. 개발된 프로그램의 주제별 활동을 통하여 학생들에게 창의적 사고 능력의 배양과 태양계내의 행성간 거리와 크기에 대해 쉽게 학습시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
