  • This paper presents the Efficiency Characteristic of Three-Level Converter. Three-Level DC/DC Converter Presented in this paper is used a phase shift control with a flying capacitor in the primary side to achieve ZVS for the outer switch. This converter reduces the voltage stress across the main switch to half of input voltage. This paper analyses the loss of each component and the various losses for efficiency variation. The result of the analysis are verified using 3kW prototype.

  • It is very important to diminish noise source of electric motor systems that are used for home appliance area. We have studied on the noise reduction of BLDC motor, mainly focusing on reducing noise source from cogging torque. This noise source causes resonance of fan & motor systems. This study showed that the higher harmonic component of the cogging torque was the main factor for noise generation. Therefor, to reduce noise of bldc motor for refrigerator, this study suggested peanut shaped magnet which surface flux has similar sinusoidal wave form.

감꼭지의 항산화 활성 성분 (Ingredients of Antioxidant Activity from Calyx of Diospyros kaki Thunberg)

  • In this study, in order to search for new functional materials from natural products, was carried out the study of antioxidant active ingredients in persimmon calyx(calyx of Diospyros kaki Thunberg). I have experimented with the effect of antioxidant activity of five different extract(MeOH, n-hexane, EtOAc, n-BuOH and $H_2O$ extract) obtained from persimmon calyx. As a result, the butanol extract, that is the main component fraction of antioxidant activity was found. Three compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatography from the n-BuOH extract of persimmon calyx. Their structures of compound 1, 2 and 3 isolated from n-BuOH extract of persimmon calyx were identified as quercetin, (+)-catechin and gallic acid by using the TLC, $^1H$-NMR and $^{13}C$-NMR.

강건설계와 열합병법을 이용한 세분화한 흡기계 저소음 최적설계 (The Robust Design with Column Merging Method for the Optimal Design of Low Noise Intake System)

  • This paper proposes an optimal design to improve the performance of the intake system by reducing the noise. We adapt the Taguchi method and column merging method for the above design. At the first stage of the design, the length and radius of each component of the current intake system are selected as control factors. Then the $L^{18}$ table of orthogonal array is used to get the effective main factors. At the second stage, the $L^{16}$ table of orthogonal array and the column merging method is combined to analyze subdivided significant factors. We know that the robust design with the column merging method provides better design for noise of intake system than the robust design itself.

  • This study offers a design procedure of optimum cable damper for multi-mode vibration control with nonlinear damper and also investigate the relation between mode and amplitude dependency. The proposed multi-mode damping index, which is defined as a energy loss ratio of cable potential, is a main component of optimization problem of optimum nonlinear damper. In order to include the amplitude dependency of nonlinear damper, it is assumed to exist three kinds of multi-mode patterns such as ambient vibration, support excitation and rain-win induced vibration. The optimum damper exponent depends on amplitude patterns. In case of ambient vibration, optimum factor is less than 0.5. In case of support excitation or rain-wind induced vibration is between 0.5 and 1.0. In this study, the effects of cable sag and inclination angle are included in the asymptotic design equation of damped cable structures.

부산시 지역구조변화와 교통수요의 상관성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Correlativity of the Regional Structure Change and Traffic Demand in Pusan)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the regional structure of Pusan based on socio-economic phenomena in 1979 and 1991, and to analyze correlations between the regional structure change and traffic demend. To formalize the land-use by each zone, the Principal Component Analysis were performed by using 15 socio-sconomic variables. As a result of the analysis, five land-use factors(i.e., official, residential, commercial, manufactural, and other functions) in 1979 and four factors(i. e., residential, 3rd industrial, manufactural, and other functions) in 1991 were extracted as main regional structure components. It was proved that there is strong correlations between the regional structure change and traffic demand by using Quantification Theory II and also by testing correlation coefficient.

  • In order to investigate the characteristics of top ring groove deposit formation in diesel engine, engine test and simulation test were performed. From component analysis of used oils sampled from actual running engines, soot content in engine oil was selected as a main parameter for evaluating oil degradation. Deposit formation is highly related to soot content in lubricating oils. And high soot content oil accelerates deposit formation even in low temperature region below 26$0^{\circ}C$. In low temperature region below 26$0^{\circ}C$, deposit formation rate is mainly affected by top ring groove temperature. However, in high temperature region above 26$0^{\circ}C$, deposit formation rate is affected by soot content as well as top ring groove temperature. Therefore, soot content as well as top ring groove temperature should be kept a certain level in order to prevent troubles due to carbon deposit formation.

금형냉각법에 따른 열간 단조 금형의 수명 평가 (Estimation of Die Service Life for Die Cooling Method in Hot Forging)

  • Dies may have to be replaced for a number of reasons, such as changes in dimensions due to die wear or plastic deformation, deterioration of the surface finish, break down of lubrication and cracking or breakage. In this paper, die cooling methods have been suggested to improve die service life considering die wear and plastic deformation in hot forging process. The yield strength of die decreases at higher temperatures and is dependent on hardness. Also, to evaluate die life due to wear, modified Archard's wear model has been proposed by considering the thermal softening of die expressed in terms of the main tempering curve. It was found that the use of die with cooling hole was more effective than that of direct cooling method to increase the die service life for spindle component.

  • This study suggests the contingency framework understanding the implementation of NIMT and conducts empirical analysis using survey data. The main objectives of the thesis are as follows : (1) analyzing the relationship between adaptation requirements and organizational adaptation efforts. (2) analyzing the relationship between organizational adaptation efforts and implementation performance, and the moderating effect of the adaptation requirements. (3) analyzing the relationship between organizational adaptation efforts and organization characteristics(organization size, technical capability, top management support). A field study was undertaken to test the hypothesized relationships among adaptation efforts, adaptations requirements, organization characteristics, implementation performance. Data were collected from 52 NMT implementation projects of 45 machine tool, metal component firms. The emprical relflts indicated that adaptation requirrnents, organization characteristics were significantly related to organizational adaptation efforts and adaptation efforts can significantly improve implementation perfomance, but the moderating effect of adaptation requirements on adaptation efforts and implementation performance was not supported.

Influence of Garlic and Red Pepper on the Microflora of Kajami Shik-hae

  • Kajami Shik-hae processing consists of the fermentation of low salted Kajami (6% NaCl maximum) coated with a vegetable mixture, composed with cooked millet, red pepper, garlic and ginger. Lactic bacteria are the main component of the microflora. In order to determine their eventual selective role on the microflora the antimicrobial activity of garlic and red pepper was tested with some strain of bacteria and molds isolated from Shik-hae and Shik-hae raw materials. And the influence of their concentration in Kajami Shik-hae on the microflora was also checked. At the concentration of 10% garlic have no inhibitory activity against lactic bacteria but on strains of Bacillus, Micrococcus and Aspergillus niger. At the concentration of 20% red pepper showed a slight inhibitory activity on two strains of Bacillus. These results shows that red pepper and garlic are not only flavoring ingredients but they might play an important role in the control of the microflora growth and composition during Kajami Shik-hae fermentation.
