In this paper, we propose a new certified e-mail system which reduces user's computational overhead and distributes confidentiality of TTP(Trusted Third Partty). Based on the traditional cryptographic schemes and server-supported signiture for fairness and confidentiality of message, we intend to minimize to computation overhead of mobile device on public key algorithm. Therefore, our proposal becomes to be suitable for mail user sho uses mobile devices such as cellular phone and PDA. Moreover, the proposed system is fault-tolerant, secure against mobile adversary and conspiracy attack, since it is based on the threshold cryptography on server-side.

Today large corporations are constructing distributed server environment. Many corporations are respectively operating Web server, FTP server, Mail server and DB server on heterogeneous operation. However, there is the problem that a manager must manage each server individually. In this paper, we present distributed FTP server for log mining system on ACE. Proposed log mining system is based upon ACE (Adaptive Communication Environment) framework and data mining techniques. This system provides a united operation with distributed FTP server.

An SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server was designed for delivering and storing user's email across a network. An SMTP server can be distributed as multiple servers for large service, huge users or massive emails. An SMTP server can be constructed by multiple servers with separating file system as email storing space, and each SMTP server can usually share each file system by using the NFS(Network File system). However the NFS is originally designed for sharing each file system across a network, and contains all attributes and features of regular file system. Using this NFS for email storing space of SMTP servers, it makes overhead due to unnecessary work of regular file system. In this paper, we propose a method to do directly operation with socket for reducing work overhead caused by the NFS. For doing directly operation with socket, this paper defines information based storing space structure and a protocol for storing emails. We performed experiments using Mailstone made by Netscape. The experimental results show the performance improvement of the proposed method compared to the existing method.

In this paper, I developed a method whereby spam mail is automatically blocked through the connection to link URL. The blocking system works as follows. First, the system extracts information of URL linked to electronic mail which was delivered from any server on the internet. Next, the system lets itself be connected to the web pages through this URL. Last, the system blocks the electronic mail if those web pages contain any key word which was defined as a clue to spam mail.

With the rapid advance of internet service and the corresponding migration of service environment from the text-based one to WWW (World Wide Web) environment, the number of internet users is growing rapidly due to its easy usage. Accordingly, usage of internet as services for sending electronic mails to the other patry over the network is becoming increasingly prevalent. Web-based electronic mailing system is comprised of a server and a client The former provides the users with e-mail accounts and services, while the latter serves as a user interface. In other words, it enales those public users who dos not own e-mail accounts on the existing mail server to have an access to hte mailing service through the web. In this paper, we designed a effective web-based electronic mailing system which is based on the internet explorer and linux operating system, which overcomes limitations of the existing e-mail systes and this facilitates the development of a stable e-mail system by being able to avoiding the low system performance due to the bursty characteristics of e-mail messages and the increasing number of users.

In this paper, I explained how to sort and keep off these Spam-mail and commercial advertising E-mail with three way, prevention by server level, prevention by construction of network level, prevention by client level. we designed a prevention system for Spam-mail and implemented it by Visual Basic.

We can foresee the rapidly growing of users by development of VoIP service what can transmit a audio traffic with low cost among a lots application using internet. VoIP needs a standardized protocol that is able to do signaling for offering high quality of services such as mobility, universal number, multiparty conference, voice mail, automatic call distribution. At the present time, a base composition elements of SIP(Session Intiation Protocol) are developing for offering VoIP based SIP in the inside and outside of the country, because SIP of IETF which has a strength from 'fast connection', 'parsing' & 'easy to compile' points of view. This paper suggests a type of Hybrid SIP Server for providing some services as 'a reducing load of SIP server that process a request method from users', 'efficiency of managing networks', 'offering services to many users'.

Today, mobile technology is developing very fast and people use internet through mobile phones. Using mobile phones, people use games, email, avatar and other services. We designed client/server modules in order to join email and avatar together. First two major server modules were designed, one of them is DB management module for avatar user information and the other is email management module. One the client side, we designed avatar image animation module and a module for showing the email contents. The purpose of the design is to reduce the performance overhead on the client side as mobile phones cannot be used as a high performance device. We propose and implement a new avatar based service using the SK-VM environment, that is different from the current avatar services.
