In this paper, system equation of the magnetic equivalent circuit of the induction motor be consist of the magnetomotive force transformation matrix and the flux transformation matrix. The system equation is fed by three phase sinusoidal current and get to magnetomotive force on the teeth. This study confirmed the time and spatial distribution of the magnetomotive force on the teeth created by the winding.

The finite element method is very flexible for new shapes and provides flux distribution, magnetomotive force, eddy currents, and torques. However, it requires lengthy computational time in order to achieve desired accuracy. The magnetic equivalent circuit method takes less computation time than the finite element method. Therefore, the finite element method is mainly used to confirm the completed design. The magnetic equivalent circuit method is convenient for complicated analysis of the transient state of the induction motor. The magnetic equivalent circuit method is restricted to only one direction of magnetic flux. In this paper, the construction elements (that is, stator iron, rotor iron, yoke, air gap, etc.) of the squirrel cage induction motor were represented by a flux tube and the air gap magnetomotive force was calculated by the magnetic equivalent circuit method. Starting transient torque and phase current of the squirrel cage induction motor were verified by the theoretical calculation and the experiment.

This paper analyzes re-degaussing performances of various breakdown conditions of degaussing coils in a ship to reduce underwater magnetic field anomaly due to the hull magnetization induced under the Earth's magnetic field. To achieve this, first, it is implemented to optimize degaussing coil currents by a magnetomotive force sensitivity formula combined with the coil effects. The re-degaussing processes are then executed when a breakdown occurs in degaussing coils, one by one. Finally, the re-degaussing performances are examined with the results of normal degaussing and coil breakdown conditions.
The rolled steels for welded structure applied tensile stress have been examined by means of magnetic Barkhausen noise (MBN) method and of a physical parameter obtained from a hysteresis loop. The behaviors of MBN parameters and coercive force with tensile stress were discussed in relation to microstructure changes. There is no change in MBN parameters and coercive force below yield strength. The coercive force rises rapidly with tensile stress above yield strength. On the other hand, the rms voltage and the peak in averaged rms voltage take a maximum around yield strength and then decreases. The magnetomotive force at peak in the averaged rms voltage shows a minimum around yield strength. These phenomena are attributed to the combined effects of cell texture and dislocation density. In addition, the behaviors of MBN parameters around yield strength may be reflected by the localized changes in strain field due to the formation of dislocation tangles.

A brushless linear motor is suitable for a high-accuracy servo mechanism. It is also suitable for operation with higher speed and precision. Since it does not involve some sort of mechanical coupling, linear driving force can be applied directly. Basic models including magetomotive force and electromotive forces are introduced and simplified. Both conventional PID and fuzzy controllers are implemented and performance results using those controllers are compared. Along with better simulated performance observed using fuzzy controller, further fabrication is to be included with various empirical results. Several system operational characteristics have been observed. Typical nonlinearities as friction, cogging and torque or thrust ripple that might deteriorate system performance would be tackled using presumably effective method such as neural network based learning controller.

This paper presents the reduction of acoustic noise generated by electromagnetic force in an induction motor of the electrical forklift. After summarizing the electromagnetic excitation forces due to the interaction between the stator/rotor slot permeance and the stator winding magnetomotive force, the effects of the electromagnetic force on the noise and vibration of an induction motor are analyzed. In order to experimentally identify the noise sources of the motor, the signal analyses for noise and vibration are performed by using waterfall plots of noise and vibration spectrums. It is found that severe noise and vibration are caused by the electromagnetic force when the mode number of the excitation shape for a stator is low. Furthermore, it is verified that the motor noise is amplified if the excitation frequency of the electromagnetic force coincides with one of the natural frequencies of the stator. It is experimentally demonstrated that this severe noise can be considerably reduced by structure modifications. Finally, some design guidelines are suggested to develop an induction motor with a low level of noise.
Exhaust brake system for Diesel engines is composed of gate valve, pneumatic cylinder and exhaust brake valve with on-off solenoid. Exhaust brake valve which is core component of exhaust brake system should have characteristics such as high reliability and long life. In this paper. exhaust brake valve with on-off solenoid which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. For the performance evaluation of on-off solenoid, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed. As a basic study for the performance improvement of exhaust brake system, pneumatic circuit and pneumatic valve with on-off solenoid were suggested and the performance of the pneumatic valve was evaluated through tests.
Mobile Robot climbing stairs needs high power and high efficiency. one of the high power type motor is Transverse Flux Motor (TFM). Moreover, TFM is a high force density per volume. We analyzed a characteristic for the TFM and simulated the parametric research of the TPM by using 3D FEM solutions. It presents to design the basis of the TPM. design parameters are Radius of outer rotor, pole height, pole depth, pole depth, airgap, and Magnetomotive force.
This paper presents design and characteristics analysis of transverse flux switched reluctance generator(TFSRG) for wind turbine. Dimension is calculated by using output equation and maximum magnetomotive force(mmf) equation per pole. Design specification within effective range of mechanical and electrical energy is suggested in order to perform the analysis. it is confirmed to torque, inductance and induced electromotive force(emf) for one phase through three dimension Finite Element Analysis. Then design specification can be verified by comparing with proposed specification.
