전압-전류 추이와 자속-차전류 기울기 특성을 이용한 변압기 보호계전기법의 성능 개선 (Performance Improvement of Protective Relaying for Large Transformer by Using Voltage-Current Trend and Flux-Differential Current Slope Characteristic)

  • Percentage differential characteristic relaying(PDR) has been recognized as the principal basis for power transformer protection. Second harmonic restraint PDR has been widely used for magnetizing inrush in practice. Nowadays, relaying signals can contain 2nd harmonic component to a large extent even in a normal state, and 2nd harmonic ratio indicates a tendency of relative reduction because of the advancement of material. Further, as the power system voltage becomes higher and more underground cables are used, larger 2nd harmonic component in the differential current under internal fault is observed. And then, conventional 2nd harmonic restraint PDR exposes some doubt in reliability. It is, therefore, necessary to develop a new algorithm for performance improvement of conventional protective relaying. This paper proposes an advanced protective relaying algorithm by using voltage-current trend and flux-differential current slope characteristic. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we have made comparative studies of PDR, fuzzy relaying and DWT relaying. The paper is constructed power system model including power transformer, utilizing the WatATP, and data collection is made through simulation of various internal faults and inrush. As the results of test, the new proposed algorithm was proven to be faster and more reliable.

  • Power transformer is an important apparatus in transforming and delivering the power in a power system. It shows less accident ratio than other system apparatus, but once the accident occurs, it causes long-term operation stoppage and economic loss. It brings high bad spillover effects. Therefore, the role of protective relaying, which is to prevent internal fault a power transformer is highly important. This study proposed advanced algorithm that can clearly determine internal fault of the power transformer and magnetizing inrush, through numerical analysis by using the terminal voltage and input output current.

  • This paper presents an effect of cross magnetization to the generator characteristics in synchronous machine infinite bus system. Eigenvalues, synchronous torque and damping torque are investigated as the operating condition of the system is changed variously. The simulation results show that cross magnetization has an important effect to the generator characteristics in steady state stability analysis.

  • In this paper, a feeder system for wireless power transfer is investigated, which generates semi-random magnetic field using three currents with different frequencies. A semi-random field is very useful to magnetizing a pickup irrespective of its posture.

  • 본 논문은 TV 브라운관과 컴퓨터 모니터에 사용되는 마그네트(Magnet)에 일정한 자력을 갖도록 자화 시키는 착자기를 제어하며, 검사공정을 자동화하는 제어 시스템용의 집적회로를 설계하여 개발한 것에 관한 것으로써, 착자기의 콘트롤 모듈과 프로토콜 모듈의 주변기기 제어회로 부분을 0.8um CMOS SOG 기술로 설계하여 ETRI에서 공정하여 칩(Chip)을 완성시켜 동작을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서는 개별 셀(Single cell)의 지연 예측에 사용되었던 기존의 프로파게이션/램프 지연 모델(Propagation/ramp delay model)을 분석, 문제점을 보완 수정한 LODECAP(LOgic DEsign CAPture)의 인버터 선형 지연 모델을 응용하여 타이밍 콘트롤 블록 내의 지연 체인(Delay chain)을 설계 할 수 있는 새로운 "지연 예측 수식"을 제안하였다. 본 논문은 추출된 수식에 의거하여 타이밍 콘트롤 블록의 설계, 시스템에 적용하였으며, 나머지 블록들을 설계한 기법에 대하여도 상술하였다.여도 상술하였다.

Nowadays, relaying signals can contain second harmonic component to a large extent even in a normal state, and second harmonic ratio indicates a tendency of relative reduction because of the advancement of transformer's core material. And then, conventional second harmonic restraint differential relaying exposes some doubt in reliability. It is, therefore, necessary to develop a new algorithm for the effective and accurate discrimination. This paper deals with advanced fuzzy logic based relaying by using flux differential, and a new fault detection criterion logic scheme by using wavelet transform. To comparative analysis of proposed techniques, the paper constructs power system model including power transformer, utilizing the EMTP, and collects data through simulation of various internal faults and magnetizing inrush. The proposed fuzzy relaying and a new fault detection scheme were tested. The former, fuzzy relaying, was proven to be faster and more reliable than the latter.

  • This paper describes a speed sensorless algorithm for vector control system with compensated stator resistance and rotor time constant of induction motor using a model reference adaptive system(MRAS). The system are composed of two MRAC, one is a rotor speed estimation and a stator resistor identification by back-EMF observer, other is used to identify rotor time constant by magnetizing current observer, so that the estimation can be cover a very low speed range with a robust control. The suggest control strategy and estimation method have been validated by simulation study. In the simulation using Matlab/Simulik, the proposed speed sensorless vector control system are shown to operate very well in spite of variable rotor time constant and load fluctuation.

  • This paper proposes new torque control of an induction motor, which is robust against time verying parameters. The control is based on adaptive vector control with serial block adaptive algorithm. Motor parameters used to estimates slip frequency and torque. Frequency mismatch in the control system detrimentally affects slip frequency estimation and torque response. In order to compensate for degradation of the responses an adaptive identifier for the magnetizing inductance and the secondary time constand is introduced. adaptive vector control system consisted of two subsystems, a vector control system realized on synchronous frame and a parameter identification system on stationary frame. the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by some digital simulations.

  • The precise and reliable loss model for induction motor and converter system is very important in order to predict the efficiency performance of variable speed drives. This paper proposes an accurate loss model of induction motor and converter system. The motor losses, such as stator and rotor copper loss, core loss and stray loss, are considered for fundamental and harmonic frequencies. Also considered are the skin effect on rotor resistance, temperature effect on bath stator and rotor resistance, magnetizing inductance saturation, and friction and windage loss. All the above features are incorporated in a synchronous frame dynamic d-q equivalent circuit. The converter system, consisting of a diode rectifier and PWM transistor inverter, is modeled accurately for conduction and switching losses. Validity of the models, in both steady state and transient conditions, is verified by simulations.
